The Big Island of Hawaii is the largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago—almost as large as all the other islands combined—and bursting with life. Within 4,000 square miles of land, you’ll experience dense tropical rainforests, black-sand beaches, snow-capped peaks, remnants of ancient Hawaiian settlements, and the incredible Kilauea volcano.

Maui is renowned for its unimaginable beauty. Alpine-like forests cover the upcountry slopes of Mt. Haleakala, the world’s largest dormant volcano. The famed “Road to Hana” hugs the coast, white sandy beaches line the shores, and magnificent sea cliffs hover over the blue Pacific. An aerial tour of Maui will quickly reveal why it’s continually been voted “The World’s Best Island.”

Incredible journey and sights. 90 minutes was amazing from start to finish!
Fantastic. Excellent service, fascinating viewing. We had a great time. Strongly recommended!
My mother and I had the pleasure of experiencing the "Discover Hilo" tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters this past Monday (7/28/25). It was truly amazing! There is no better way to see the extent of the lava flows, both new and old, except from above in a helicopter. Everyone at Blue Hawaiian was fantastic. Our ground crew of Eric and Julianna made us feel welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived until we walked back to the car. Eric even shared some welcome tips on hiking trails in the Hilo area for a future visit! Our pilot, David (aka "Chewie"), was a real treat. He was not only personable, but extremely knowledgeable about everything he flew us to see. He even took an extra opportunity to climb a bit so a young girl on our flight could get a better view of Mauna Loa. Highly recommend this tour and company if you're looking for this type of experience on your vacation! We will definitely use Blue Hawaiian again.
Incredible, unforgettable experience. Any nerves we had before the tour disappeared the moment we took off. Chewy struck the perfect balance between keeping things light and delivering fascinating information. I would do this again and again — it was truly the highlight of our trip. The experience was absolutely indescribable… ethereal in every sense. Mahalo Amanda Harrington
Greg and the flight were fantastic! Hard to describe how cool and special this place is. Jeff G.
