A helicopter ride has been on my bucket list for a long time. The Big Island was the perfect place. We saw waterfalls, volcanoes, beautiful cliffs.... Greg, our pilot, was very informative and friendly. Highly recommend.
We experienced the Kohala Coast tour (with landing) this afternoon. It was by far the apogee of our stay on the Big Island. Our pilot, Kaj, turned our flight into an unforgettable memory. Everyone at Blue Hawaiian was very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend the experience!
Great time with James H our pilot. He was very chill & full of lava knowledge as it was very interesting seeing all of the various types of flows. We enjoyed greatly the landing on the windward side beneath a tall waterfall. A much smoother ride than we thought. We felt the extra price for the front seats was well worth it. The ground crew was very nice & helpful. Go fly!
Marcus, pilot, was very knowledgeable and provided great details on what he was flying over. We had the seats upfront and THIS IS THE WAY TO GO. Great experience. This exceeded our expectations.
Best experience!! First time in a helicopter and the team (Julianna and the pilot, Chewy) made me feel extremely safe. Chewy is a great character- entertaining jokes and had a plethora of facts to share about the island. If there’s one activity to do while visiting Hilo, choose this one and request to be flown by Chewy, AKA David.
Wow, amazing experience for myself and my family. I’ve got a severe fear of heights but to my surprise I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed the experience and how my fear of heights didn’t take over. Marcus the pilot made the ride so enjoyable, smooth, safe and the views were phenomenal. He was informative and friendly. Great customer services from the team on ground as well. May, Jeff and Andrew. Highly recommend giving it a go! I couldn’t believe I did it! Well worth it!

Finally knocked a helicopter ride off my bucket list! It was a great experience! Even my very fearful wife got off the ship with a smile on her face with no regrets! Highly recommend as the only true way to savor the incredible beauty of Kauai! RC

We had a fantastic experience with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Our pilot, Robby, was excellent. He was professional, friendly, and made the whole flight feel smooth and safe. Seeing the island from above was absolutely the way to go, and the views were incredible. The only thing I’d improve is the quality of the souvenir video. For $100, I expected a higher resolution video. Other than that, it was an unforgettable experience and I’d definitely recommend.
