Had an amazing time on our helicopter tour of Kauai. Safety issues were addressed right away and the pilot was excellent on pointing out all of the highlights. I really liked that he kept on addressing us by our names. I would highly recommend that you use Blue Hawaiian for your tour experience. I also used them when I was on Maui. I also was very impressed by their facilities by the airport. It was first class.

We were visiting both Kauai and the Big Island on this trip to Hawaii. We wanted to do a helicopter tour on one of the islands and considering much of Kauai is not accessible by car we decided to to it there. We chose Blue Hawaiian Helicopters as we had done a tour of Maui with them years ago. We got to their facility and checked in. When you book the tour online they ask you for your weight - be honest because they will weigh you again when you check in. As I'm 6 foot 3 and 220 pounds-ish I always get stuck in the back of the chopper and in the middle (this is for weight-and-balance purposes). Our pilot was Joffrey (sp?) and was great. We started out towards the Poipu area and worked our way towards Waimea Canyon. After passing through an occasional shower we caught our first glimpse of the canyon - just amazing scenery! So many waterfalls and gigantic cliffs! We then headed to the Napali Coast where we descended below the tops of the cliffs. Joffrey was very accomodating in turning the chopper around so folks on both sides could get the outstanding views. Our last stop before heading back to the airport was the crater that created the island. Holy Moly was that the craziest thing I've ever seen! We were so close that I swear the blades of the copter were going to slice through the sides of the mountains! I lost track of how many waterfalls were located in the crater. It was the some of the most amazing scenery I've ever seen in my 44 years! Blue Hawaiian is a very professional company and the helicopter was definitely comfortable. I would highly recommend them for your tour on any of the islands.

My husband and I did this and all I can say was breathtaking. We were in the air for about 50 minutes and it was the best $250 each we have spent. Our pilot Adam was brilliant and very informative. We got to see so much of the island which is beautiful. Would highly reccomend this to anyone gong to Hawaii. One of the best things I have ever done.

This was already my third flight with Blue Hawaiian and I can only reconfirm that this is abolutely the best way to explore Hawaii. You will see areas which you simply can't see by car and seeing active lava flows might be difficult too on the ground. Very experienced pilots which all three I met where former military pilots which made me feel super safe all the time. I can highly recommend this trip.

What a great way to see Hawaii, well worth the money. Pilot and the team were great, I took along our two boys of 13 and11 who thought the trip was fantastic.. Great way to spend the morning, although we wish we had gone to see the volcano, maybe next time.

Brad was excellent. His years of experience flying helicopter's put us at ease. His depth ok knowledge of the island was terrific. Would highly recommend him as a tour pilot and recommend everyone do this during their visit to Kauai.

Incredible! Best thing we've done on the island. Great music playing while we flew and great info about everything flew over. What an incredible way to see everything and know where else we want to go on the island. We felt very safe the entire flight and well supported by the aircraft. The staff are super friendly and it was easy to get to their facility. We looked around and they are by far the most professional outfit on the island. Worth every penny!

Thoroughly enjoyed our helicopter tours. The folks at Blue Hawaiian were absolutely professional, friendly and relaxed. Some of the sights in this tour are breathtaking. Do it!

Not much to add, as all the reviews are so positive. We enjoyed the flight with our pilot Geoffrey - the right mix of music and commentary, sometimes the beauty needs no commentary and he seemed to understand that. On a prior trip in 2001 we had done the Napali Coast boat tour, which was wonderful, but this tops that as you get the birds eye view of the coast and the interior. Staff at the airport facility were all friendly and professional. One note - My husband is 6'8" tall - he had one of the middle back seats and was comfortable the whole flight - enough head room and leg room.

It was an unbelievable experience. We got to see the waterfalls and the volcanoes. Our pilot, Greg, did a fantastic job. All the staff at blue Hawaiian were very helpful. The only negative is that we were not offered any water or anything to drink. I highly recommend this tour.

Boy am I glad my husband insisted we do this! Absolutely amazing way to see the active volcano, waterfalls, Waipio Valley and more. Pilot Toshi was very professional and knowledgeable. Enjoyed out trip tremendously

This was simply THE BEST. Pilot Julie was professional, knowledgeable and focussed on ensuring we all had a great time and got loads of pictures. Ground staff were equally fantastic. Realising my prescription sunglasses were missing when we boarded our coach back to the hotel, I raced inside to alert staff. The helicopter had already taken off again, so unable to search but staff promised to look for them. I didn't hold out much hope but to my surprise and delight, the sunglasses were found and I received a call to advise that someone would drop them off at the hotel for me! Truly amazing.
