A helicopter tour is a must do in Kauai we were told, so we shelled out the bug bucks and went. We were between Blue Hawaiian and Jack Harter and went with Blue Hawaiian due to pricing. I was very happy with the customer service and our pilot. The views were phenomenal of course. We got lucky and everyone got a window seat, but I'm not sure how happy I would be in the middle back. The highlight for me was seeing the "Jurassic Falls" waterfall. We saw whales too. Due to the price of this activity, I probably would not do it again, but I am very happy we did and have no complaints at all with this company and would recommend them to anyone. I'm betting no helicopter tour anywhere else will compare.

My family decided that we would take the island helicopter tour as our activity while staying in Kauai. It was amazing. It was a reasonable cost at 215$ per person for a one hour tour of the island. Our helicopter pilot was knowledgeable and encouraged the passengers to ask questions, There was a sound track playing in the background of the tour and it added to the fun - cue Jurassic Park Theme music as you crest over the mountain ride and Jurassic falls comes into sight - it was pretty amazing. I would go again on the helicopter tour on my next trip to Kauai. The staff at Blue Hawaiian were extremely pleasant. There were complimentary lockers to leave your personal items in during your flight, there were very clean bathrooms on sight, and free parking.

After three attempts to do a helicopter tour of Kauai, all cancelled due to weather, we finally had a lovely day for our tour with Craig as our pilot! We were thrilled and the tour was just wonderful!! He maneuvered into the crater, along the Na Pali Coast and had fun stories about the towns and ranches we were seeing. The music in the background (starting with Hawaii 5-O theme and ending with Elvis's Blue Hawaii) was a great touch! We treasure the personal DVD of our trip that we purchased afterwards. We highly recommend Blue Hawaiian as we believe they do not fly in poor conditions and really make the experience one to be remembered for a lifetime!

My family and I decided to do a helicopter tour so that we could see the Napali Coast and potentially a whale! We went at the end of our trip which worked out nicely as we were able to spot all the places we had checked out earlier in the trip which made it very fun. We also chose Blue Hawaiian because it was a nicer bigger helicopter than most of the other companies, our group was 6 people and we hoped to all go together in one copter. Unfortunately we were split up due to weight, but the trip was still totally worth it! Blue Hawaiian was very professional and friendly, the process of getting prepared for the trip and on the helicopter was very organized and they told you exactly what to do. I was surprised to find out that they assign you seats but that's something you won't be able to get out of so just be prepared for it and hope that you get one of the good seats! Once in the helicopter our pilot was very friendly and easy-going, he made it so I wasn't worried at all about the trip. The flight was incredible! It was my first helicopter flight and I can't wait for the next chance to go again. I would definitely suggest doing this if you can, it's a great way to see Kauai and overall just a fun experience to have.

This is the way to see Kauai! Just unbelievable! Of course we were lucky with fantastic weather but the pilot (of 4000 hours military helicopter experience he said) indicated that they don't fly unless they can offer the customer a top-rate experience. Not cheap, but if there is one thing you do on Kauai do this! For booking we just took the recommendation of our hotel concierge (an Expedia rep - in an orientation talk); she handled the booking (the morning prior) and we just paid her and showed up - very easy.

We booked the tour a few weeks in advance knowing we only had limited time on Kauai. The online booking system was easy, and they provided follow up confirmation of the booking and a phone call to where we were staying the day before to confirm. The slightly overcast weather didn't detract from the experience (I think it may have added to it), the ability to gain access to the wilderness areas provided some breathtaking scenery. The commentary from our pilot was extremely knowledgeable and added to the overall experience, he had a very dry sense of humour at one point bursting into South Pacific songs - humorous but difficult to deliver over push to talk microphones, I liked is laid back and calm manner. The purchase for the flight DVD was a very reasonable $25 and the facilities look considerably better than some of the competitors door. A must do if you are visiting Kauai.

Just got back from an amazing tour with Brad. He was clearly very experienced but also very calming and gracious. One in our party was quite nervous prior to flying and was immediately put at ease by his calm nature and competence. What a incomparable view of Kauai!

Great circuit of the island with friendly, knowledgeable pilot. Not cheap, but great experience and well recommended.

Marty was our pilot and was fantastic! He was very courteous, friendly, personable and safety was a high priority on this flight. We never at any time felt in danger and were flown in for spectacular views of the valleys, cliffs, waterfalls and other attractions of the island. I would recommend this helicopter tour to anyone visiting Kaua'I.

Absolutely the best birthday/anniversary present ever (45 years). Almost a religious experience. Felt absolutely safe and comfortable. Make this your first priority when in Hawaii, you wont regret it.

Michael, our pilot, gave us a complete experience seeing Hawaii's Garden Island from his Blue Hawaii helicopter. He chose the perfect musical backdrop for our tour and the video of the trip. He engaged each of us on the audio recording, making it even more personal. Having recently retired as an Army helicopter pilot, he was able to provide the very best ride over and around the peaks, ridges, coastline and the many waterfalls of the island. We're thankful to have the video now to relive our overview of this magnificent island.The incredibly beautiful weather was a wonderful change from our deep freeze at home. I did appreciate having "Quease-ease" to take the edge off my touch of motion sickness. It was a wonderful tour we'll never forget!

This was our second Blue Hawaiian flight, the first being in 1999 in Maui. As expected, the entire experience was polished. From the lobby/waiting area to the clean uniformed staff to the pristine Eurocopter EC-130 everything was perfect. Our pilot Marty was well spoken, knowledgable and a very smooth pilot. Other companies may give you a thrill ride, but Blue Hawaiian is safe, clean, professional and spectacular.

The closest to heaven you'll ever be! Brad was our pilot and was awesome, friendly, and didn't talk too much while we enjoyed the unbelievable views. He told us ahead of time what we were looking at, and gave us time to absorb it. Perfect! My 20 year old daughter and I were lucky enough to be in the front with Brad, and had awesome views. The windows of the helicopter were spotless. Everyone has a headset, and when Brad or others aren't speaking, wonderful Hawaiian music is softly playing which intensifies the whole experience. At one point, my daughter and I looked at each other with tears in our eyes as we were hovering in a cliff/valley/crater looking at natural waterfalls, listening to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" sung by a Hawaiian with a ukulele...It was a beautiful moment, and experience we'll never forget. Oh, and another thing! We were told at pick-up(we came from a cruise ship and the weather hadn't been so good) that if Blue Helicopter couldn't show us a 100% experience at our time slot, they wouldn't fly, and would either reschedule or refund our money. Our entire experience was A++. Thank you Blue Helicopter and Brad!

this was a fantastic trip, it was breath taking, out of this world, we both enjoyed it . The pilot was very nice and informative.

We did two helicopter rides in Hawaii. One on the Big Island and one on Kauai. Both were outstanding. Both services were efficient, safety minded and friendly. The ride on both islands were spectacular. Both pilots were experienced, knowledgeable, and made the experience great fun. Would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for any of their tours.
