I am very scared of flying normally but this felt nothing like being on an airplane. The staff was very understanding of my fear and did a great job of making me feel at ease. We did the Hana/Haleakala tour and it was breathtaking!!!! Our pilot, Tim, was wonderful-very knowledgable, entertaining, and experienced! I would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian to anyone visiting Maui!

Planned to do this as a surprise for my hubby and teenage daughter, so was hard to keep under wraps. Organized tentatively before arriving in Waikiki, and found it was weather dependent which was a good thing as the weather during our vacation end of January 2014 was unpredictable most days. One other thing was no payment was required until you were actually going. Nice to have the shuttle pick us up at hotel and drop us off when finished!! Overall, Blue Hawaii Helicopters was easy to work with, and they run a very professional operation that was definitely worth doing if you ever visit Oahu. I had contacted one other company prior to this one and never had them follow up with me once. Though the approx. one hour helicopter tour may seem pricy it was well worth it as we had never all seen the island before and it gave us ideas as to where we wanted to drive to when we picked up our car. Our pilot Lorne was great!! Took lots of photos so did not purchase the dvd for $25. The amazing coastal and inland sights around the island, viewed from the air, were absolutely breathtaking. SO glad we did it!! Mahalo

Exceptional is all I can say. This tour is one to experience when visiting Honolulu. Julie was the pilot......and I must say her knowledge of the island made this an exceptional tour. She made every attempt to engage everyone on-board and answered lots of questions and pointed out all the places to see and added some history and knowledge as well. Best way to see most of the island and especially the major landmarks.

Exciting 2 hour helicopter tour of the island. If you do nothing else in Hawaii take this tour. They are on most islands and the tour from the air is spectacular. The pilots are excellent tour guides with a lot of knowledge about the history and lore of the islands. They even provide the option of buying a video of your tour. Be sure to request the front seat.

My husband and I have never been on a helicopter tour before. We have always wanted to go and all our friends have mentioned it to us before our trip. We originally wanted to book with another tour but they were full. Luckily we found a spot with these guys and we loved every minute of it. ( i think we actually got the better place!) Our tour guide was really wonderful, he made sure everyone on the helicopter was comfortable and even the super nervous individuals! (including me) I can't think of a better way to see the island, it was even more special because we hiked so many of the same places a few days before. Lastly, they were great about giving you an intro to the helicopter and safety video. Right before our flight. There were also details such as safety zones marked on the landing floor to make sure you don't do anything silly. Plus there was at least 1-2 guides showing you the way into the helicopter and helping you strap in. I really felt safe and in the right hands. The details go a long way. Thank you so much!

Fantastic! Truly recommend Blue Hawaiian for a tremendously fun and exciting view of the island of Kauai. The people who run this tour are true professionals and we had a wonderful 45 minutes in the air. It was worth every penny and more! It is a great way to view this island paradise as it would be near nigh impossible to see the sights on foot. The commentary was informed and interesting. They call it their Heaven and Earth Tour and it really is that and a must do! This trip also included a tour of the some of the attractions on the island and light beach lunch.

This is absolutely the way to see the island. Geoffrey and the rest of the staff was amazing! If it's your first time to the island;plan this your first couple of days so you can truly see everything the island has to offer. my girlfriend and I literally were in awe around every turn during the helicopter ride. Don't miss out on this experience.

Mike was our pilot, we had the time of our lives. We we're celebrating 20 years of marriage and owning our own tour Buisness in Georgia our expectations we're high. Mike did a great job and was super informative. Thanks for a great time.

Wonderful and informative experience about the island of Kaua'i! Since most of the island is inaccessible on land, the helicopter ride is the best option to see it all!

It's not about the ride but all about the scenery. We had such a different perspective of the island from above than you do on the ground. Yes it's expensive. However if you have AAA ($215) or Costco ($200) you can get a discount. Don't be shy. Our pilot was Jaffee, native to Hawaii and answered all our questions, have an excellent tour, felt very safe... Highly recommend to do this on this island to get the full untainted view. Everyone was extremely professional and customer service was great. The only negative was that the CS rep did not know about the Costco certificates. ???? How could you not? But she did offer the AAA discount. The helicopter was very smooth, comfortable. A must do!!

Pilot Geoffrey was fantastic!! Loved everything about the flight -- and the music enhanced the experience too! HIGHLY Recommended. I was a little nervous about the trip but seconds into it I felt completely safe :) Can't wait to return with family do they can enjoy it as well!

A visit to Kauai is not complete until you have seen the island from the air! It is truly spectacular and worth every penny. My experience with Blue Hawaiian was great - spacious lounge while you wait for your flight and all of the staff were very friendly. If you have a fear of flying or worried about motion sickness this is the company for you - the helicopters are very smooth and extremely comfortable and the pilots are obviously very skilled. Our pilot, Greg, also knew everything about Kauai so was able to answer any questions that came up. All in all this is great value for the money you will spend!

Brad was our pilot, US Army trained and wonderful. Although it was raining we had a great flight. You could see everything really well and Brad was so knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging. The Blue Hawaiian Helicopter company is so professional, very organized, and the helicopters very comfortable with great views from everywhere in the helicopter. You are able to purchase the video of your flight including videos of you in flight. The price is very reasonable and it will be the best 50 minutes you spend. Don't miss this and take your camera as well. They will take a picture of you at the end of the flight with the helicopter.

Blue Hawaiin is a phenominal way to understand new things about your connection to the world when flying over a geological wonder. Seeing lava flow into the sea was epic and humbling and it's difficult to articulate....the earth being formed. The pilots are great at putting all at ease and the music, although not necessary, adds to the perfomrance. Do it.
