We shopped around for helicopter tours for our honeymoon and some of the locals recommended Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.  Both of us have been on helicopters so we were more concerned about the safety than comfort.  We found out they had a great safety record and their new Eco-helicopters hold 6 passengers and was much quieter than other companies used. We got a deal on the price from sitting in on a timeshare presentation.  We arrived at the airport to find another group of 4 were going to fly with us.  But due to a bit of bad weather the pilot canceled the flight 20 minutes before we were going to take off.  A good sign that safety was first on their mind instead of the mighty dollar. We rescheduled for the next afternoon and luck was on our side as we were only with two other people.  Everyone got a window seat!  Let me tell you the staff was great there.  Samantha called us the day before to confirm our reservations and even offered to pick us up if we didn't have a car.  Once we got there we watch a quick safety video and even a quick in person safety review by another staff member.  When we got in the copter, Bruce, our pilot went over a few more safety tips and we were off into the blue skies.   Bruce was a great tour guide as he navigated us around the island.  He gave us some historical facts about certain areas which made things very educational as well.  The views from the helicopter were amazing.   I have relatives on Oahu so I've spent many summers here growing up, but never imagined how beautiful the island looked from the sky.   This was our last day on the island and what a way to finish the trip.  Truly our highlight of our trip. I would recommend this company as for the safety procedures they take as well as the experience in the air.  They have helicopters on all the island so we are going to buy my step-daughter a ride in Maui during their upcoming honeymoon.   If you are afraid to fly or never been up in a helicopter before, then this is the only company to go with for an amazing experience.

Breathtaking trip over the island of Oahu! The Blue Hawaiian Helicopters (BHH) tour company was safe, informative and organized. I have never been on a helicopter but was comfortable by the staff's information and Loren's piloting around the island. During the flight, Loren will point out landmarks from Dole Plantation, China Man's Hat to Hanuama Bay, etc. I will recommend travelers experience a helicopter ride. My friends and I are planning a trip to Kauai and Maui and will plan another helicopter ride with BHH.

We gad an amazing flight with Scott! He was a true inspiration to our flight. We enjoyed every minute of our time spent with this company. The seem to gave the best helicopters on the island!

Absolutely the best experience and highlight of our vacation. Yes it is pricey but like everyone else has said, it is worth every single penny so save up. As for the tour you will first get weighed once again once you enter the building just so they can verify that you aren't lying on their website lol. But only the person behind the counter will know and frankly I don't think they care, it is purely for seating reasons.   Please wear dark colored clothing or else you will wear one of their shirts and although they are nice, you will have a picture next to the helicopter in that shirt. You have been warned. Greg our pilot did an amazing job flying the helicopter and giving us all he could in terms of describing the island and giving advice on what to do and where to go. The tour was probably 50 min but I didn't pay attention to the time cause the views were amazing! It was enough time I'm sure of that.  Apparently Mark Zuckerberg has a house in Kauai that our pilot pointed out that is worth hundreds of millions!!!! Our pilot gave us views that were like you were in a movie! Definitely make sure to have enough space on your phone or go pro camera to take pictures because you will be snapping away like there's no tomorrow. I don't think big cameras are allowed but they provide free lockers for storage. Mahalo once again for an amazing experience Greg and the entire staff of blue Hawaiian helicopter tours in Kauai!!! Our tour with Blue Hawaiian helicopters was the highlight of our trip to Kauai. Our pilot was Scott and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island! Don't hesitate to take this tour! It was amazing!

As first timers, we had no real urge to do a helicopter tour...but thankfully our friends convinced us otherwise! Brian was our pilot over the incredibly beautiful island of Kauai and we were very at ease and thoroughly impressed with his skills and knowledge. He took extra time to allow all to have clear views and photo ops. We went from "never" to we cannot wait to fly with Blue over the next island! Thanks, Brian!!

This was the most amazing experience I have ever been on in my entire life. I'm the biggest wuss of all time and am terrified of flying. I wanted so badly to see the beautiful scenes that the island of Kauai has to offer so I just decided to do it. I cannot explain to you how incredible it is. The take off to the landing were so smooth. The scenery was breath taking. The staff was super friendly. And I cannot say enough about our pilot, Mark. He has amazing professionalism as well as a great knowledge of the island and even better flying skills. As soon as our adventure began my fear of flying almost immediately ceased. This is an absolute MUST if you come here. You will not regret it. Thank you for the incredible experience that I will not forget anytime soon! Mahalo!

It's a 55minute helicopter ride throughout the island of Kauai...view of waterfalls, middle of the island and the Napali Coast line...breathtaking.  Normally in the copter there is 6 tourist and the pilot.  2 in the front and 4 in the back.  They distribute the weight equally so you don't really know what seat you'll get.  At the end of the ride they will let you take a picture near the helicopter.  I booked it through the Expedia person at the hotel.  At the end of the ride you get a free tshirt and a commerical dvd of the tour...note:  this dvd is different then the one you purchase.  The cost is over $200+ per person including taxes.

Great views that you just would not be able to see any other way! Very friendly staff and Brody our pilot was very informative and also due to great weather we were able to see some canyons and areas not normally visible. Also great flying skills and very safe pilot that Brody!! I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian.

We had fun and had a great tour around the island. At first was bit nervous but Marco our pilot made the flight very smooth and provided an informative ride. It is definitely pricey but worth it.  We were on the Euro and got a nice view and felt safe.  It was pretty amazing.  Loved the view from up in the sky.  It was quite peaceful at times when we were going over the island. The headphones cancel much of the noise, they played some music, some were bit off but overall nice complement to the view. The shuttle was there early at our hotel and came to pick us up and take us to the heliport so if you didn't have a car, that's no problem. It was about 30 mins. They will also drop you off.  The staff checking us in were friendly and they have to weigh you there again to be sure the weight is appropriate.  You can't take anything on the helicopter except for cameras. phone and water. They lock your belongings for you.  Safety is important which is good to see. After we landed, we were given a cool towel and they had water on the porch for you as well. They provide a recording if you like to purchase it. We got ours for free because the audio wasn't working. Was really worth it.  Those considering timing of this adventure, it might be good to do it early so you can see everything and then decide where you want to go. Fun!!!

Top notch! The Hilo side of our tour got cancelled due to weather so they offered full refund, reschedule to another day or continue on tour minus Hilo side + refund on portion not done. We continued on our tour 45 min to Pololu & Waipi'o Valley. Truly spectacular. You wear headphones with music. Really adds to the experience. When our pilot Tom turned our helicopter just as the lyrics "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" came into our ears, a huge beautiful rainbow appeared! I said "The rainbow is there everyday." He replied, "I made it for you guys." It made me smile ear to ear. Friendly and professional tour.

I was looking for an out of the box activity to do with my GF who was originally from Hawaii but was on vacation this past week and decided to do a helicopter tour. At first I had my hesitations only because of the media coverage helicopter crashes have in the past yet I knew I couldn't pass on a chance to do something memorable like a helicopter tour of Oahu.  From the reservation staff to Samantha, the friendly check-in person you see once arriving, to the take off crew to our pilot...they were all TOP NOTCH and take any uneasiness of flying off your mind and encourage you to get excited with such a trip.  The flight itself was so breathtaking and easy, our pilot (I forgot his name, sorry) was so funny addingg his own little insight to all the historical places you'll be flying over as well as the amazing views you'll experience.  If you're a tourist, a thrill seeker or just a couple looking to do something you'll never forget, I'd recommend reserving a flight with BLUE HAWAIIAN.  Their flights are pretty resonable, also if you're a local, they'll hook you up with a 20% discount rate as well.  They've won countless safety awards from some pretty big name a credible sources such as NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC and many others if you're worried about safety. Living on Oahu for practically my whole life, I'll say that I've grown a new appreciation for the wonders of this island only because Blue Hawaiian has shown me a new and amazing view of it.

Wow...what an amazing experience!!! This was our 1st helicopter ride and it was truly magical! The copter ride itself was smooth, our pilot Jen was funny and very informative and our 3 yr old enjoyed it too (so smooth she fell asleep the last 10 min). The whole thing was top notch and would highly recommend to anyone visiting beautiful Oahu

Great company!  Everything from the shuttle driver to the helicopter tour is outstanding!  Excellent customer service w/safe & knowledgeable pilots!

They saved my trip that was ruined by Makana Kai Helicopters.  They charged my card upon check in only. Staff was helpful and I got to sit in the front seat with my partner. I guess it was a blessing that we ended up with this tour. I think the tours are all the same.  Most reviewers review according to the pleasant tour which would all be the same view from any helicopter.  The reviews should be based on the service of their office and ground personal, not the actual view you got from the ride. This company did well for me. I recommend them.  Stay away from Makana Kai Helicopters.
