Avec un planning très court, nous avons opté pour une tour en hélicoptère pour observer le volcan. L'activité est certes onéreuse, mais alors c'était fabuleux !! On en prend plein les yeux. 1h de survol sur le Kilauea (+ quelques cascades à la fin). Le pilote / guide fait vraiment en sorte que tout le monde puisse bien observer, à 2 fois sur chaque "spot". C'est un des meilleurs souvenirs de voyage ! Bien entendu, nous avons vu de la lave (en cascade côté océan et au fond d'un cratère). Un spectacle époustouflant ! Le petit bémol est avant l'embarquement, on attend un peu trop longtemps sur le tarmac avant d'embarquer (nous étions le dernier groupe, car plusieurs hélicoptères en vol qui partent à quelques min d'intervale)... du coup l'heure de convocation nous a un peu trop monopoliser notre temps... pour attendre ! Mais nous avons vite oublié quand le spectacle s'est ouvert sous nos yeux !

Getting to go up in a helicopter for most people is a pretty thrilling and in many cases, once in a life time experience. To be clear, this is a luxury attraction but you do get what you pay for. Blue Hawaiian offers these services on all the main islands and are well established in their field. They take safety and flight deck procedures very seriously and you are in good hands with a very professional team. The choppers are new and maintained in excellent shape. But the trip! Well, there really is nothing quite like experiencing a place like Kauai in this way. The trip was smooth and quiet (with the earphones that allow inter communication with the pilot and passengers) and the views are extraordinary. It's like trying to take a picture of lightning; you may capture it but it will never measure up to the experience of being there and seeing it all in the moment. The trip was just under an hour and visits most parts of the island. you are treated to all of the incredible sights that you might imagine, from the waterfalls and rugged terrain, to the coastline and townships. The pilots are excellent with their knowledge of the island and provide great commentary on what you are experiencing. Certainly it is fun to see the sights that you see in movies like Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark as well as the amazing vistas of the Napali Coast line and canyons which are inaccessible in any other way. For the faint of heart, you will be surprised at how gentle it is and you will be thankful you went. Many roads on Kauai were bumpier than the flight! If you're on the fence as to parting with the cash to go, you need to look at the benefit of doing it and the adventure of trying something that is not often done by the masses. In my opinion it is absolutely worth it. It may be a little pricey but you have to remember you are paying for an expensive machine and some very skilled personnel both in the air and on the ground. I say do it.

Great flight with Scott as my pilot. Smooth flight and very informative narrative. Saw some amazing parts of the big island you can only see by helicoptor. And.... we saw lava.... real live lava. Check that off the bucket list. Lol Go book a flight and enjoy.

Amazing flight the pilot flew that thing incredibly the views were impressive. Just wish he was more knowledgeable and interesting.

Great flight with Scott as my pilot.  Well narrated, informative and fun flight.  Beautiful scenery. And Lava....  I mean.... Lava.... how cool is that.  #bucketlist If you are on the big island... its a great way to get the majority of your sight seeing done in 2 hours.  You will see things not possible unless by Helicoptor. Have fun... Go book a flight..... you know you want to.   Ask Scott to show you the Big Ant....  doesnt exist but there sure should be one coming out of the lava cone.

Scottie did a great job of flying and entertaining us. He was great ABOUT MAKING CERTAIN EVERYONE got to get the pictures they wanted & needed.
