I was given this helicopter tour for my birthday -- 3 months of looking forward to it! Totally worth the wait! Tim was a fantastic pilot and guide. He gave us quite a bit of historical information during the tour of West Maui and Molokai. Majestic views worth seeing again -- so we bought the video to remember forever. I would definitely do this tour again.

I stopped by Blue Hawaiian Helicopters on my way back from visiting the volcano on Maui. I was able to hook-up with a Molakai-Maui 45 minute flight for the price of a 30 minute flight. But reservations are generally advised. Anyway, there were 5 people on this flight (7 max) and everyone had a window seat!. The views were needless to say spectacular, but what made the experience even better was the expert and at times funny commentary by our pilot. And definitely purchase the Blu-Ray DVD of the entire flight (only $25). They have 5 cameras that capture everything you see on the flight, including many shots inside the cabin. At first blush, you may think these flight are somewhat expensive. Well, they cost more than what you might spend for dinner, but it's (IMHO) well worth it.

A bucket list item for everyone and I'm glad it was with Blue Hawaiian. Everyone was so friendly and our pilot Greg was wonderful!

Back in 2002 we flew with Blue Hawaiian on the Big Island so this time on Maui it was easy to know who to fly with. From the moment you arrive in their office you know they are about providing a high quality experience. We were a group of five and since I am a large person I required what they call a "comfort seat" so we had the helicopter to ourselves which was really nice. Our pilot, Justin, was very kind and was a fantastic tour guide. I read once, and believe it is accurate, that tour pilots have to pass some form of exam regarding touring so they will provide you with accurate and interesting information. Justin certainly shared a wealth of information with us. He was so personable throughout the tour we felt like we were flying with someone we already knew. As for the flight; it was amazing. They play music throughout and smartly begin with the theme from Hawaii 5-O while taking off. The flight was smooth and beautiful. It is difficult to describe in writing the absolute beauty of Molokai from the air. The best endorsement I can provide is that, in the video we purchased of our flight, my entire family was smiling the full duration of the flight.

We took the Maui Spectacular helicopter tour and it was ... well ... spectacular. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and the pre-flight briefing was quick and to the point. Our pilot, Chris, was a native Mauiian and shared all kinds of local details about the island as we admired its beauty. The flight was smooth and completely enjoyable, even for less than confident fliers. Without question, the highlight of the trip was landing 2,800 feet up on the slopes of Mount Haleakala to survey a 180-degree view of the island and sip pineapple champagne from a local vineyard. Overall it was an unforgettable 90 minutes and well worth every last penny.

We splurged on this helicopter ride in the last days of our vacation and it is one of the highlights of the trip. Our adventure began as we were greeted by the lovely ladies at the desk. We had a brief safety meeting and then a short demonstration of how to use the seat belts as well as the life vests. Then we were escorted out to the Eco-Star craft which is really a marvel of a helicopter! You do not need to bend down because the rotors are 9 feet off the ground but I found myself wanting to do it anyway. Our escort made sure everyone was buckled in their seat properly and our pilot Ryan introduced himself. Then we took off- and the trip was exceptionally smooth throughout with the landing giving us just a little vibration. I can hardly express to you the spectacular beauty we saw during this flight as we flew over the bluest ocean, through lush green valleys, and over amazing rock formations. Everywhere we looked there was a more opulent view to take our breath away. Our pilot Ryan made sure to give everyone a good photo angle at every spot he knew we wanted to shoot. If you are like me and wonder about how you will react to the motion of a helicopter and the way it can turn, twist and hover then the Blue Hawaiian company is for you! They do everything in their power to insure you enjoy your flight time and then they ask for your feed back. We purchased the video of our tour that they shoot while you are up and we got their well done video called Visions of Hawaii showing the beauties of Maui and the other islands. I say if you are going to do one splurge on your vacation then choose to fly with the team at Blue Hawaiian!

We took the helicopter tour of West Maui and Molokai and it was spectacular. The flight was smooth, no bouncing at all; the windows are large allowing great views from all seats. The pilot and service people were polite and professional, keeping us well informed and safe. It was a very comfortable, exciting and enjoyable experience. We took motion sickness pills before the flight, as a precaution, but I believe it was not necessary. It’s not cheap but a great experience.

I was originally terrified of going on a helicopter but i couldnt believe what an amazing experience this was. Trust me...i get scared driving over bridges!!! WE had an incredible pilot who was entertaining, knowledgeable and good!! We did the 45minute tour and our children loved it too!! had to laugh though because as we took off the theme song to Hawaii 5 O came on through the headphones. Seeing Maui from the air was beautiful, you truly get an idea of how big the island is and how volcanos have shaped these islands. You see a lot of waterfalls too. Its expensive but i think its a beautiful location to experience a helicopter if youve never done it before. We felt very safe the entire ride.

Great time, fantastic sights, pilot looked after us and was very informative. Highly recommend. Very safe and well organised + free dvd is great, plus buy a personal dvd with your own experience....very funny

Chris was excellent, made us feel comfortable and relaxed, had good stories. I would do this again, and recommend to my family and friends. Mahalo! Everyone from the front desk to crew was fabulous and we were upgraded when we couldn't do the tour of the crater due to inclement weather.... fabulous experience !

We booked a complete island tour but last minute due to poor weather they changed it to the West Maui and Molokai trip. They called us as we were already on the way to the heliport. We almost cancelled but I am glad we went. The tour was amazing. The pilot told us that this is his favorite tour. He was very informative and I felt safe in the air. He took us very close to see the water falls and cliffs which can not see from the ground. We ordered the DVD of the tour and can't wait to watch it at home. Very organized.

Amazing how can someone be in a place like Maui and never quite got the full experience till you fly with Blue helicopters, it's was and hour ride worth every penny...the sights are unbelievable, one of the best tours in my life...

What a great experience to be able to see the island and places that could not be seen any other way. Just an amazing experience. Our pilot was the best and was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

This was a great experience and a lot of fun. Our pilot was informative and funny and made our excursion a lot of fun. We got to see the whole island and saw a lot of stuff we never would had just driving around.

The equipment was excellent. The pilots were fantastic ... especially the pilot we had on the Big Island. We did a flight in Kauai as well as the big island and felt that these were highlights of our trip. Expensive but worth it.
