Amazing
Maui - Kahului

This was the highlight of our trip to Maui. Our pilot was so knowledgeable and kept us fascinated with her narration of the history of the Island etc. We did the Circle Island tour - 60 minutes - what a way to see the Road to Hana and Haleakala Crater. The waterfalls are everything they advertise.

Best way to get to Hana-paired with SkyTrek Hana tour
Maui - Kahului

I am **so** glad we saw Hana with the helicopter and SkyTrek tour! Very enjoyable, got to Hana super-quick via helicoptore, SkyTrek tour was great, we learned a lot that we would not have if we would have driven it ourselves!

Great way to spend your first day!
Maui - Kahului

We decided to see Maui by air and had a blast! The views were amazing and the ride was very nice and informative! Our pilot spent a lot of time explaining the sights we went over and answered all of our questions! I was very nervous about taking this trip as I have a weak stomach for quick drops or turns, but was pleased that the pilot made every effort not to make this a thrill ride but a relaxing one!

The highlight of our trip was the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour.
Maui - Kahului

I’ve got to give this company a 5 star rating. Great staff, facility and new helicopters. We’ve also been to every island several times and have taken several helicopter tours. The islands are all so different and a helicopter tour is a ‘must do’ as far as we’re concerned. It’s the only way to experience the Big Picture. The valleys, cliffs, waterfalls and rainforest are just awesome and yet so different on each island. This was the first time we did the West Maui/Molokai tour. The valleys seemed like we were discovering a new world, never before seen by man. I’ve never been on a helicopter tour in Hawaii when there weren’t clouds and this was no different. But that’s part of it and didn’t diminish what was the highlight of our trip to Maui. This operation is well organized and the pilot gave great information and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour for anyone going to Hawaii.

Great Ride
Maui - Kahului

We had a 90 minutes complete island tour, and it was expensive but well worth it. This was our first time on an helicopter, both of us were thrilled by the fantastic view at 3000 feet as well as the excitement of being at the front seats as the flight took off. Mike the pilot was friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped on top of a pasture to enjoy the view of wailea beach while drinking pineapple champagne, it was quite an experience. We also spotted quite a few whales from the air as it is the peak whale season in feb. Other reviewers have written more or less the good of the ride, I just want to add a few things that were not so perfect. 1. After we checked in, we waited 30 minutes at the lobby, then the pilot asked the ground crew to offer us alternate route due to the weather. We decided to reschedule it for the next day, and it turned out to be a good. Other people canceled and get refund at the last minutes. We wished they had informed us earlier before we drove 1 hour to the airport just to drive back to the hotel. 2. We expected our DVD to be the quality of as shown at the lobby TV, unfortunately, not so. It was mediocre at the best. One of the four camera has a dead bug stuck on the lens, thus the image quality was poor. We are glad we filmed in-flight with our little video camera. 3. we are lucky to sit at the front. The passenger seats were assigned by the weight/payload. In our flight with 4 other passenger, I noticed that people who are a bit heavier built were sit at the back. The view at the back seats are less ideal even with ecostar. If you are not by the window seat, the view is a bit obstructed. Passengers won't know where they are going to seat until the last minutes when the flight is ready to go. So i guess it's luck of the draw. 4. The island weather can change rapidly. Some times when the spots are in the clouds, there's just not much anyone can do anything about it. The blueray DVD they show at the lobby was really setting high expectation. It was most likely edited after several trips of footage. Again, we were just very happy with the tour, and since large area of Maui cannot be accessed by land, this is the only way to see.

With out a doubt, the best way to "see" the Big Island!
Maui - Kahului

Our trip to the Big Island was complete with the Big Island Spectacular helicopter tour on the 22nd of February. Our pilot David was very knowledgeable concerning island history and current events. His excellent discriptions, the wonderful scenery, what an outstanding trip this was...You see things that you just can't get to on the ground. We just can't say enough good things about Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, from the moment you walk into their facility, you feel welcome, and can see a very professional staff working to make sure that each person has a wonderful experience. Very worth the money!

Great for first timers.
Maui - Kahului

Super professional staff from check in counter to the pilot. First time in Maui and did this on first day. In hindsight, would probably spend the money on several less expensive excursion trips instead.

Awe-inspiring
Maui - Kahului

This is the company you want to tour above the ground with. Quiet helicopters, informative pilot guides and a wonderful overall experience. There is no other way to see all of Kauai.

Great tour, but not a great dvd
Maui - Kahului

We did the complete island tour of Maui with Blue Hawaiian on the Eco. The Eco has bigger windows, but it also costs more. The flight itself was very smooth. The views are great of the crater and a few waterfalls. The flight in the valley was the best. You get to see things no one could see from the ground. You also see some very high waterfalls. The only issue I have is the dvd you can purchase after your flight ($25). The dvd quality is not as good as what you see on their tv. Yes, I do have a good tv and computer. Also, the dvd was date stamped April 22, 2011. We did the tour in May 2011. Looking at the video, you see shots of you in the helicopter while flying around. The discussions are recorded along with the view. I'm somewhat sure the dvd is our actual flight and not dubbed together. However, the date stamp does make me question this. Either way, the tour was great and I'd used them again.

Simply amazing and breath-taking views
Maui - Kahului

Our group was 4 adults and an almost 2 year old. We were scheduled for the Hana/Haleakala tour, however weather did not cooperate. The staff was very nice and offered to reschedule us or to take us on the West Maui and Molokai tour. We chose to change to the West Maui/Molokai as we were booked for the rest of the week, but it turned out to be a great choice. The pilot was very knowledgable about all of the sites and the views were breathtaking. We were a little tight across but we did have 2 large people and our son sat on our lap so we expected to be tight. Make sure that the outside person has a camera and that you are wearing dark clothing to minimize glare on the windows. It is the best way to see the island. It is a little pricey but when else will you get to see the island this way. It is like your own private tour of the islands.

Great way to see Oahu like a bird!-May 25th 2011
Maui - Kahului

First we would like to thank Julie our pilot she was full on interesting facts on the island we would rather listen to her that the commentary or music. Her flying was superrb and she made the flight feel like a nice soft glide. The other staff were super friendly and chatty which added to the best experience of the week we were on the island. The camera lense on the inflight video recorder does need a self cleaning wiper because it gets distorted a bit from the salt air or condensation that dries on it. We still enjoyed the video and watched it after we got home to relive the experience. It is bitter sweet when it's over it would have been nice to be able to have the pilot be able to come out for a short visit after. The staff takes a picture with your camera and you can snap away during the flight or video your own flight. We were connected to the pilot with comms and were able to ask questions in flight as well. Thanks to all the staff it was $$$ well spent. A sunset flight would be a nice touch to see the city at night.

Great experience
Maui - Kahului

We did the West Maui 30min tour. We ended up getting on an eco-star rather than the A-Star which was a pleasant surprise. The pilot was very knowledgable and we had a good time. The valleys in the mountains were spectacular along with the beautiful shorelines. I would recommend this tour group as they were the only ones to respond to our emails prior to booking our excursion. The staff was very friendly and weren't too pushy with their souvenir dvd sales.

Absolutly Spectactular !!!
Maui - Kahului

This is an absolute MUST-DO when visiting the Hawaiian Islands (Maui in our case). We did the "Maui Spectactular" tour and I must say it is well-worth the cost. The Staff was wonderfully pleasent, courteous and professional. They stressed safety and safety practices & proceedures. The Pilot/Tour guide was skilled, entertaining and knowledgable of the Island and it's history. The flight was smooth and the views were absolutly wonderful. Highly Recommended. some photos attached

great ride
Maui - Kahului

i was feeling like there was better use of our money than a helicopter ride, but am so happy that I did it! we did western maui and molokai and saw waterfalls and cliffs that will stay in my mind forever. eric our pilot was great and would rotate the helicopter so no matter where your seat was-you had a fantastic view. he was also filled with great knowledge and had a really funny sense of humor. skip one nice dinner out and use the money for a ride instead.

Simply Amazing!!!
Maui - Kahului

Me and my husband were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary in Maui and we thought what better way to see Maui than to do a helicopter tour. I chose Blue Hawaiian because of their Eco-Star helicopter that allows you to have better views no matter where you sit. We didn't get front seats like I requested...but they have to assign seats according to weight and regulations. Even still, we had wonderful views and even got an upgrade from our 30 minute West Maui flight to include a tour of Molokai island as well. Make sure you buy the DVD they provide of your tour at the end. We will be able to experience it every time we watch the video. Make sure you ask questions so you wont have to listen to strangers talking the whole time. My husband asked most of the questions and so I kind of feel sorry for the other couples that bought the dvd because it stars my husband! lol The DVD doesn't look as crisp as it looks on their tvs but I found a coupon for 50% off so I only spent $12.50 on it so I was okay with it. I got to take amazing pictures and got to see things that most people will never be able to see!!! Oh yeah, our pilot was also very friendly and was very knowledgeable about the island and its' history. He told us all kinds of stories and answered every last question my husband and I had. Very smooth ride also!
