The tour was breathtaking! The flight was an unbelievable experience and Guy was an amazing pilot. It was our first helicopter flight but will definitely not be our last.

Yes, it is SUPER expensive. Ok, let’s get that out of the way. We did the 2 hour with waterfall landing. The most expansive package for 5 people. Do the math, I could have bought a used car for my teenager for that. BUT, it was once in a lifetime. The waterfalls and waterfall lava landing were awesome. We didn’t even buy the video and the quality of all our phone video and pictures was great enough. The volcano portion of our trip was just ok, that was because weather on the Hilo side was bad so we spent 45 minutes flying around the Kona side and it was mildly interesting. As a result, we DID NOT get to see the Hawaii National Volcanoes Park area or any the the devastation from the August 2018 flows that destroyed over 400 homes. This was clearly NOT the fault of Blue Hawaiian of course. They did tell us up front that this was going to be cut out and we could have canceled which was fair. So - IF this is what you want to see you better make sure this is where they are flying or you will be disappointed. Again, I have 5 stars. Someday I will do the other side. Bucket list type experience for sure.

I loved the tour, our pilot was very good and knowledgable. The helicopter was also very comfortable and you could see everything. I would definitely recommend this to any one of my friends who are visiting Hawaii. My favorite part was when we were flying over the canyon that formed the island.
