I hate flying in planes, so morning of the flight was getting a little nervous. But now I have discovered flying in helicopters does not frighten me at all, actually loved it. Spectacular views of the island, from Waimea canyon, to the water fall used in Jurassic park, to the Na Pali coast too much to mention individually. Our pilot had a great personality and was a great guide and pilot. If this is something you ever get a chance to do I highly recommend it.

When I booked this trip I wasn't sure what to expect. When we pulled up and all I saw was a small building with numerous helicopters I was skeptical. When we walked in Mark immediately made us feel comfortable with his friendly demeanor. Once we were ready they took us out to the helicopter and introduced us to our pilot Merlinda. From there you just can't describe it. The take off was smooth and easy. Merlinda was a great tour guide showing us multiple points along our way. Once we hit the Kohala coast line it became utterly amazing. The waterfall landing was a thing of beauty - not only to see but to experience. Merlinda piloted our copter into a small historical area that then became our personal paradise for the 30 minutes we were there. The waterfall was breathtaking and just a few steps away was the beautiful ocean and rocks. We had a snack and toast to our amazing trip and headed back. Once we left the waterfall area (which the take off was just as amazing and the landing) Merlinda took us thru a couple of ravines showing us some beautifully untouched area. From there we headed back to the helipad. If this is on your bucket list (or even if it isn't), his is a MUST and this group of people were incredible, amazing and great to us. You need to do this and especially with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters!
