My wife and I recently went on Blue Hawaiian's Maui Island Spectacular Tour, and could not have been happier. We have now flown with Blue Hawaiian on tours over the Big Island, Kauai, Maui and the Grand Canyon. ALL of them were first rate. The pilot's knowledge of the areas was substantial, and every one of those pilots were friendly and called us by name during the flight. What can I say about the Maui Flight? First off, words cannot truly describe the experience. There are many companies that fly these types of tours, but few have the quieter helicopters, and NONE are more customer-friendly! The Maui flight took us to both sides of the island with a nice champagne toast stop on the side of Haleakala. The highlight of the tour was whale sightings off the coast, and I do mean WHALE SIGHTINGS! Tim, our pilot, spent quite a bit of time hovering and circling over a group (pod?) of whales having all kinds of fun off the coast. Find me another company that will rearrange their tour to take advantage of something this special! The video at the end is a must have. We've been watching ours and reliving the whale spotting, as well as all the hidden waterfalls you can only access via helicopter. In short, the Maui Island Spectacular Tour is worth every penny (yes, they are pricey but to me these have become a 'must do' on the islands), the helicopter is comfortable, the sights are incredible, and you will leave with a much greater appreciation of the beautiful 'Valley Isle'!

We loved it. The video they offer is multi camera & worth every penny. Amazing views. Modern birds with climate control. Some of the other tours birds don’t have this, some even fly with no doors.

Pricey, but worth it when you consider the cost of helicopters, fuel, insurance and highly qualified pilots. Well worth the expense for nearly 2 hours of island views from a unique vantage. Hovering and doing a slow rudder turn in a valley in front of a huge waterfall -- no other experience like it. Highly recommended.

My wife and I took this tour and it was the highlight of our visit to Maui! Blue Hawaiian Helicopter is the cream of the crop and worth every penny. Our pilot was informative, entertaining and very professional. We had rain at the landing site so had to bypass that aspect but spent more time int he air so didn't mind at all. Seeing mating pairs of Humpbacks from the air was priceless as were the many sights we experienced. The helicopter was first rate and being able to talk tot he pilot was a plus. Don't forget to buy the video of your flight. Your conversations with the pilot will be a part of it! Thanks Blue Hawaiian for a terrific experience. Worth every penny!

Kauai has so much to see and not a better way to do it than by helicopter. The trip lasts 45 minutes and within that time you get a fantastic review of the whole island including many waterfalls, rain forests, the Waimea canyon and the Na Pali coast.
