There is no way to beat the views from a helicopter and when those views are of Maui you can't go wrong. It is also inherently exciting to fly in small craft. Do this at the beginning of your vacation for an excellent overview of the island's layout. For most people, you can't see the jungle covered mountain tops and high valleys of East Maui any other way. The pilot of my tour was very knowledgeable and had the awareness to inject information when it was wanted without talking over interactions between passengers. The Ecostar helicopter was very comfortable and climate controlled. This is a relatively expensive activity but will it be enjoyable and well remembered.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters provides a comfortable, enjoyable tour. I just took the tour of Kilauea and waterfalls. While Kilauea is not erupting now for the first time since the early 80's, the landscapes, cones, calderas are amazing to see from the air. The contrast with the lush rain forest and waterfalls highlights the diversity of the Big Island. The rotor noise was blocked by the provided headphones, on which mood music was played except when Wesley, the pilot, was describing the sites we were passing over, or when any of the riders asked questions. Sit back and relax while getting a bird's eye view of the remarkable landscape.

Absolutely amazing. Pilot Gardner was incredible. Helicopter was perfect with lots of windows. The whole experience was top quality. Thank you so much.

Our pilot Mark Schmidt was fantastic. Really enjoyed learning about the island as we flew over all the beautiful mountains and valleys. Really glad we took the time to include this into our vacation.

Excellent

This was our first helicopter tour. Our pilot, Wesley, was very nice and knowledgeable. We did the Volcano (crater) and Falls Tour. Wesley answered all our questions and even gave us a quick lesson on flying a helicopter. Everyone at Blue Hawaiian Helicopter was very nice. We definitely recommend this company.

Mark was am excellent pilot, he was very informative and happily answered all the questions the 7 year old asked. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend using Blue Hawaiian Helicopters if you plan on going on a helicopter tour.

The helicopter tour was amazing! Mark was our pilot and he was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. This was my favorite part of my trip, which says alot because all of Kauai was a dream! Would highly recommend everyone do this tour.

We really enjoyed this way of getting an overview of the island and seeing nature at its finest. Our pilot Marco was very good as a pilot as well as a wealth of information on geology and island history. We took the longer excursion and were very pleased we did. Buzzing along the shore line and seeing waterfalls and the crater. The clouds opened up just as we flew over the crater. It was spectacular.

We had scheduled an afternoon tour two days before we were set to leave Waikoloa. While driving from Lapakahi State Park (beautiful!) we found both the highway and the only alternate route blocked by brush fires. Crazy! We couldn't get to the flight, so we called and they put us on a 7am flight the next AM that I don't think existed until we called. It was the only slot they had. We had a great flight w/ our pilot, Greg. Kohala Coast, sky cows, deep valleys, on and on. The staff were all great, and I especially want to thank Janey (sp) at Waikoloa for taking the time to explain all of the options. And I agree with our pilot. There's not a camera made that can do justice to what you see on the Big Island. Relax and burn in memory.

We had a fantastic panoramic view of the Island of Oahu with Josh. Brilliant view of the beaches, mountains, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head Crater. We will spread the word on how this helicopter flight is a MUST DO!! The Ground Crew were great too! Mahalo
