We had taken a Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour on the Big Island back in 2016 and knew we liked the company. We signed up for this tour expecting it to be fun. However, it turned out to be so much more! Our pilot, Josh, was very knowledgeable about so many aspects of the island and his narrative added tremendously to what we were seeing. Beside expertly providing amazing views of the scenery, he was able to provide much of the history of the sites we were seeing. His interaction with the passengers made the trip so enjoyable. We had the added benefit of seeing a lot of whale activity on the North Shore which was stunning! The crew that assisted us in getting ready for the flight was also super-friendly and helpful. A class act from beginning to end!

We took a one-hour whole island (Oahu) tour. The entire package was great. The coordination of our pickup at the hotel, the in processing and safety briefing were top notch. The facility, equipment, and staff were all 5 stars! Our pilot was professional and personable. The helicopter was very comfortable, had great air conditioning and great visibility! Wear dark colors to reduce any glare or reflections from the windows so you don't ruin your pictures! Be sure your camera/phone is fully charged because you'll wear it out taking pictures! We even saw numerous whales on our ride! It's not cheap - but worth every penny - which worked out to be about $300/per person, still a great value! Get the plaque and video at the end.

First, if you find this helpful please also give reviews. It is a habit I myself am trying to set. We were really happy with our experience. We had utilized a predecessor company when we were in Oahu a couple years ago and intended to use them again when we discovered they had been bought by Blue Hawaiian. This was a great way to orient yourself to the island. We were traveling for my mother in law’s 75th birthday, and this was a special treat we planned for her. It was a great experience. From the drives who picked us up/dropped us off to the staff in the heliport and ramp, everyone was very friendly. The directions in the briefing and outside were clear and consistent. I can’t say enough about Lauren, our veteran pilot. He was great, helping to make the best of a rainy, moody day. His humor and knowledge made for a truly enjoyable ride. Something that I think was specifically considerate, was that the folks at the desk identified that there were some people in my group for whom the ride may be a gift, and were very discreet about showing me the amount I needed to pay (booked through the website) at check in. Some things to note for first timers: -You don’t get to choose your seat on the helicopter. They will seat your based on weight distribution. And feel as you may, they’re probably not going to care about your thoughts. They’re there for your safety. Make the best of it! -Embrace the Hawaiian spirit and let loose. Take great photos, but don’t forget to just BE there and enjoy it! -Tip your pilot! We’ve done tours all over, and this doesn’t seem to resonate with folks. I recommend a 10-20% tour cost tip. I always declined to do a helicopter ride because its only has one engine. Well I decided to go on our last trip to O'hau and was not disappointed. It was a one hour island tour and the staff and crew were amazing. We went over Waikiki beach up the eastern side of the island and then inland to see a fall not reachable by hiking. Pipeline beach, Dole Plantation and then eventually over Pearl Harbor. Recommended activity for everyone.

We really enjoyed this ride. The Complete Island tour got us around most of the coast and some inland areas, including Pearl Harbor. The captain was also fantastic- he had so much great information and was a great narrator.

This was a great tour of the Island (Oahu) by air. We saw just about every beach and site and took some great photos. The pilot was very good and told us some of the history while flying. People at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The whole team there were great. Upon arrival we purchased a video of our flight and a photo of us in front of the helicopter. Great thing to do while on the Island.

Began with a nervous wife who hates to fly. Finished with an exhilarated wife who now says that the helicopter ride was the highlight of our trip. Can't say enough about the class act here at Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours. Relaxing, fun, secure and an ariel perspective of the island we would never had otherwise experienced. This was a corporate "presidents club award" trip and one of the activities we could sign up for was the helicopter tours. We walked into the experience with little involvement with the booking so I cannot attest to the ease of scheduling, etc.. but the staff we came in contact with was extremely friendly and kept the group moving along and safe. We didn't buy the video (plenty of YouTube footage out there) but took tons of pictures. We were picked up in Ko Olina near the Disney and Four Seasons resort which allowed us to avoid the congestion of the city. Wear dark clothing to minimize interior glass reflection. Be prepared to step on a scale in front of others. They dont verbalize your weight out loud but they do mark it down. A great highlight for any Oahu trip.

Great way to see the island and it's amazing beauty. The people at Blue Hawaiian are awesome. The pilot was super cool and fun to be with on the trip.

The customer service was exceptional. Our pilot Brandon provided excellent narration and the music that was themed to each specific area that we visited was a great touch. My family had a great time, a must do when in Oahu!!

Our family of 4 were taken around Oahu by Loren. One of the best experiences we have ever had. The scenery is amazing and Loren’s pilot skills are exceptional as he ducked into cool spots in the valleys or spun the chopper around 180 degrees so both sides had a perfect view. The dry humour in the laid back accent was a bonus. Would recommend to anyone looking to truly explore the island.

Our helicopter tour was awesome - we saw many beautiful sights. The helicopter was roomy and the flight was smooth. Our pilot knew alot about the island and the sights. The souvenir photo was an awesome momento. Yes it was expensive but was also a once in a lifetime view.

So all reviews are excellent and indeed our pilot was very knowledgable, explained well and the landscape were impressive. Also, the heli is top notch. Note though that these are large 6 seaters with pilot on left side, so “only” 3 window seats. Depending who is next to you, it can get frustrating (was not my case, but my wife’s). having now done quite a few helicopter rides in Hawaii and elsewhere I have a few critical remarks Firstly, all in all, it is a rather expensive tour even when adjusted to the length of the flight Secondly, I did not appreciate the staffs’ pushy attitude at boarding and leaving the heli to avoid people doing picture in front of the heli themselves, trying to sell clients the company’s picture own shoot. Others are much more relaxed in this regard so not “for security reason” argument please. Thirdly, even though impressive, the landscape is less so than on the other islands. In short, favour Kauai vs Oahu if you have the choice!

The whole experience from hotel pick up to the base, the pre flight education and the actual flight was brilliant. Our pilot Julie was fabulous. Chatted the whole way and told us the history of the Island. She ensured both sides of the helicopter got good views of the sites, and was clearly skilled and confident. Loved every minute of it.

This tour was booked thru Apple at Affordable Tours on Seaside AVe.She got us on the same day and this was by far the**** BEST**** Helicopter tour i've been on . The tour was about 45 min long and went around the whole island. The piolet Paul was very polite and pointed out all the island points of interest.JOB WELL DONE. Well worth the price. A MUST DO
