Wow, just wow… First time in a helicopter and was not disappointed. We felt safe and well taken care of with the professionalism and thoroughness of the pre-flight instructions. Pilot John was fantastic. The winds were a bit blustery but he flew smoothly throughout the flight. He shared entertaining stories and interesting facts of Kauai’s history. He has first hand knowledge of many of the trails and beaches which allowed us to make decisions on how to spend the rest of the trip. Word of advice - if you can afford the extra expense, sit up front with the pilot. It was well worth it.

Cheaper then competitors down the street. Pilot was giving us a little educational tour as we flew around the island. Made multiple circles for us to take pictures at certain areas. Overall very friendly staff that you can tell enjoys there job.

If you truly, truly want to see and understand for the entire island, this is the way to do it! The flight was epic! Our pilot, Shane, explained terrain, history, and sights all along the way. Then when he got to special places, we stayed there for good portions of time.  We hovered (...and hovered!) over the volcano and he explained everything we saw.  We flew over Hilo, he pointed out the sights (both manmade and God-created and the finale, he took INTO the Waipio Valley canyons, and up close and personal with multiple, multiple waterfalls. It was amazing!! If you haven't flown with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, you simply have not see Hawaii!

Wonderful experience with a great pilot(Eli). We did the spectacular and had a wonderful experience seeing the volcanoes(especially Kilauea) and waterfalls as well as noting the multitude of climates on the island.

Toshi the pilot was great. A little expensive, but worth every penny. You get to see things you would not have access to. We hovered over the active volcano and got to see the lava bubbling, the lave hitting the ocean and the water falls in the rain forest. Awesome!

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Jason did a great job. Hawaii is so beautiful. I would not have seen these gorgeous views any other way. Next time I'm in Hawaii I'm doing it again.

Dale, our pilot, was fantastic on our 2 hour Big Island Spectacular tour out of Waikoloa. We saw volcanos with lava flowing and amazing 2000 ft waterfalls. It was well worth it and we picked Blue Hawaiian because the locals said that was who they trusted when they took their own families for a tour.

Incredible experience. Once in a lifetime. Greg O. our pilot was very informative, professional, and made us feel very safe and that he was in control the entire time. Flew us over lava flowing into the ocean, up close and personal with the Kilauea caldera, and right beside waterfalls on the north side of the island. It was a truly amazing experience and I recommend it to anyone thinking about a helicopter tour on the big island. Well worth it!

Blue Hawaiian were awesome on the tour I took around the Big Island with them. The pilot was brilliant - funny and informative and professional at all times. We got to see waterfalls and flowing lava as part of a circuit around the island.

David the pilot was awesome, smooth flying and great personality. We saw the most amazing things from lava to whales and landed at a waterfall. Best way to see and appreciate Hawaii.

Great way to see Hawaii!

I went on the Big Island Spectacular tour which takes you right over the volcano and out to some of the most amazingly beautiful valleys and waterfalls on the planet. Our pilot Shane was skillful, knowledgeable, and fun. When Shane wasn't narrating, the music was well chosen to match the mood and grandeur of the scenery. I highly recommend this company and tour.

Great pilot (Tom), great views, and an amazing experience. So glad we did it. Best thing we did on the island. Saw lava, finally, and stunning waterfalls.
