Der Helikoper-Rundflug auf Kauai war ein unglaubliches Erlebnis. Alio, unser Pilot war sehr kompetent und gab uns jederzeit das Gefühl, sicher an Bord zu sein. Er selber ist auf Kauai aufgewachsen und er zeigte uns einige seiner Lieblingsplätze. Wir hatten grosses Wetterglück und so konnte er auch Plätze im Osten und Norden der Insel anfliegen, welche oft nicht zugänglich sind, wenn es regnet oder wenn die Wolken tief hangen. Die Sicht auf Kauai aus dem Helikopter ist atem(be)raubend und die ganze Schönheit der Insel kommt erst aus dieser Perspektive zur Geltung. Wir hatten die Insel bereits zuvor mit dem Mietauto erkundet, so konnten wir uns aus der Luft sehr gut orientieren und auch die Informationen des Piloten sehr gut einordnen. Alio gab uns viel Wissenswertes über Kauai und das Leben auf der Insel mit. Es lohnt sich, den Aufpreis für das Video zu investieren, denn wegen der Spiegelung ist es schwierig, selber wirklich brauchbare Fotos zu machen.

Definitely the best way to see maui
Our first time doing a Helicopter tour was an amazing experience. Check in was easy, fast and organized. I was nervous to book a helicopter tour not really knowing what to expect as far as safety. Staff was friendly, helpful and patient. Our pilot, Isabella was amazing. She was knowledgeable throughout the entire flight. The views from up there are incredible and definitely recommend this as part of your Kaua'i experience!
Blue Hawaiian was good! They have the large helicopters with seating for six. I'm not positive, but I think big ones can withstand weather conditions better. Or are more stable. They do a good job regarding safety training, which is clearly good. And the tour was good. Duke was our pilot. He gives commentary throughout. They also play mood music over different areas. You wear the headsets and communicate that way. I took them off during the flight just to see, and it was definitely loud. You start at the airport and go straight west over the mountains. The views ate amazing. Then you go to the north side, then back. I'd say one improvement would be if they could go further out over the ocean on the Napali Coast. You'd be able to see the clubs and ranges from a further out, majestic view. You're close, so seeming closeups is cool in a different way. Pro tip: It costs $100 more for the front seats (there are four seats in the second row), but I think it's new with it. I sat middle back row and it was hard to get good views, pictures, and videos.

Booked this the day before, after my original helicopter tour was canceled due to rain and I was unable to reschedule with that company. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I was put in the front row, center seat. Had a great view and got amazing pictures! The pilot provided commentary throughout the flight and we were able to ask questions as well. I appreciated all of his insight. Would absolutely do this again! Highly recommend. Great way to see the island from another angle.
The tour and pilot (Shane) were awesome. Really nice helicopter, easy to see, even from the center seat. The prep and brief for the flight was expertly done by the ground crew. The flight started over the volcano with excellent views of the lava lake and continued along the coastline. The landing at the base of the waterfall was the pinnacle of the tour, we had roughly 20 minutes in the small landing area with a view of the large waterfall and an observation point to the ocean. After that we flew into a large canyon and got some great aerial views of more waterfalls then overland to return to the heliport.
First time in a helicopter and it was so amazing! They make you feel very comfortable and safe throughout the entire trip. The scenery was breathtaking and we were fortunate enough to see the active lava. Highly recommend, it was the highlight of our trip!!! Mahalo ~
Worth it for sure! Better to call and ask about exactly date and time, because sometimes website shows spots, but they are not confirmed. Was surprised that pics near helicopter that they took you can get only for 40$ with video from the flight. Will be cool for marketing to send them with receive for free, it’s cool option for advertisement, people usually post them. So without pics The flight 2.15-3.15 was amazing, thank you’ Recommendations: Seat 3 is cool Totally black pants + tshirt must Charged phone Sunglasses Sunscreen (!) on your face Be careful with filming, sometimes you can record your hands in the glass 😝
The tour was fantastic, our pilot was great, very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. We really enjoyed the helicopter tour and this is actually my second time taking a tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours. The reason I gave a 4 out of 5 review is because after the flight I paid $80 for the video/pictures saved on a USB thumb drive but unfortunately that thumb drive will not work on my MAC Book Pro so I can not see the videos. I've called Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours a few times to see if there's a way to either resolve this issue or get a refund but no one has been able to help me.

This experience was one of the best moments of our family's life. There is no way to see the island's magical scenery to this level from any other way except from a heli, and Blue Hawaiian made it a day we will never forget. We felt safe, cared about, and encouraged to fully embrace the incredible scenery and experience.
