A review yesterday had me very stressed about paying to put my girlfriend in the front because his wife was supposedly squished with a bad view. Nothing could be further from the truth. For photos, it may be better to have an actual window seat, though reflections make pics tough. That said, she loved the full hemisphere view from the middle seat. The tour was amazing, especially the waterfall landing and the valley runs.

The ride was smooth with AC and a fantastic pilot/guide. The views were spectacular and the pilot was very informative. He was extremely friendly and funny. The ability to see inaccessible parts of the island is unforgettable and would do this regularly if I lived in Hawaii.

Great sights, great Pilot (Poshi), great time! Expensive but worth it. Can't see the things you see on this tour any other way!

Our family did the Kohala Coast tour and it was incredible! There's so much to see that is not accessible by foot or car. The ride through the valley and then along the coast was breathtaking. We will remember it forever!

Great tour company located in a rather remote area of the northwest quadrant of the island. Book directly with them instead of a third party. Our pilot made us feel safe and secure from the get-go, and he offered a history and explanation of the areas we flew over. We covered a lot of ground, flying along both the east and west coasts as well as across land over the military base (after securing permission), over sinkholes, and of course, volcanoes.

The helicopter ride itself was absolutely beautiful. You get to see all sides of the island and appreciate the beauty of the island. The helicopter pilot was very knowledgable about the island and we learned a lot. The only complaint I have is that when we were given the information about the video of our ride for purchase, it was implied that we would get all of the camera views for the duration of the ride. When we played the video, its only one view at a time and not always the view that the pilot was talking about. Worth the helicopter ride but maybe not the video purchase.

Nothing much to add- it was a great experience all around! Easy to book, friendly staff and Alio was a great pilot. I guess my only suggestion would be to move away from the USB trip video/photos and upload them to the cloud instead.

Tour was great and we were overall pleased with the experience. There are a number of other companies that operate out of the same airfield and provide similar tours at a much lower cost. My wife gets much more nervous about flying than I do and wanted to pay the extra amount for the better/newer helicopter models that blue Hawaiian flies. Thus, we were fine with paying more. That said, I'm only giving this a 3-star rating because we were stuck in the back and on the pilot's side (which is on the far side for most of the trip). Seems a bit unfair considering we all paid the same amount and yet other people's seats were way better than ours. If I was doing this again, or if I was recommending this to others I would only suggest it if there is a fear of flying or if you were taking a family - otherwise I would likely save a lot and go with another company that's cheaper, and offers a better view. Some offer doors off or guarantee a front seat, etc. I personally don't see any safety concerns with other companies or helicopters but Blue Hawaiian definitely has better helicopters that are newer and bigger than all the others, and they've been dong this long enough to have a great reputation.

Aloha - Everything was absolutely fantastic! This was our gift to each other for our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything from check in to leaving our magical experience was spot on. We were in awe of the birds eye view you get of magical Oahu. A special mention to Fernando our pilot who was awesome and so full of knowledge. We can’t wait to see our personal video flight when we get home. Do yourselves a favour and book one of these flights- it is a must to do to create forever long memories that you will cherish - Muhalo

The sites are AMAZING!! The crew and pilot were very good we felt safe at all times absolutely loved it.

If you are sitting in the fence trying to decide if this is worth it, GET OFF THE FENCE NOW and book your reservation. This is such an amazing way to see the island. You are able to see places you cannot not see by land. We had a beautiful day and were even able to fly into the crater of the volcano!!

My husband and I did the Bis Island Spectacular Helicopter Tour with Shane- we paid for front row seats in the helicopter and for the waterfall landing. This tour was INCREDIBLE. Shane was knowledgeable and made the tour a true experience. My husband and I thought the waterfall stop was absolutely worth the extra cost.
