The Big Island Spectacular flight along with the large waterfall add-on is a "must-do". You'll see all of the island in a most spectacular way plus stop at a remote location that is accessible only by copter to view an incredible waterfall that is somewhere between 800-1200 feet tall. Since the lava is currently flowing, I was also able to view that (without the many mile hike required on land). Pilot Greg O (or Go) was a great guy and very knowledgeable. It was very apparent that he loves his job (although I'm not sure "job" is the correct term for doing what you enjoy). He makes certain that both sides of the helicopter get to see everything so don't worry about where you might be seated (computer assigned based upon weight distribution). I would do this again in a heartbeat!

I have to admit, I was very nervous about going up in a helicopter. My wife convinced me to do it and I am very happy I did. We did a tour on the Ecostar helicopter. We had a short safety presentation and an explanation of how we were going to be loaded on to the helicopter. Each person got into the helicopter and the staff made sure that all safety harnesses were fastened correctly... leaving nothing to chance. They were completely professional from start to finish. We took off and flew over macadamia farms and them headed to the volcanoes. The volcanoes were absolutely spectacular...we went over and around a smoldering crater and followed the lava fields out to the ocean, where we could see where the lava entered the water. Very cool! We also saw some waterfalls and some other beautiful scenery, but the volcanos were definitely the hightlight.... So glad we did this tour!

This place was organized and they have to be with as many people the fly. Jason our pilot was very knowledgeable and very good at getting us and the helicopter where we could take pictures. Flying through the valleys seeing the huge waterfalls was amazing. The volcano was flowing and we saw red hot lave flowing into the see and bubbling at the crater. You can't do that in a boat or by hiking out. Highly recommend.

This tour was recommended by family who went last year- said to book this first and it's worth the splurge. We were so glad we took their advice! It was worth every penny; such an efficient outfit, great staff, and you feel safe the entire time. Booking first gave us such insight to the island for the rest of our trip. Our pilot, Shay, was great ... we listened to the smooth sounds of Shay as he was so informative about the island and gave great recommendations about places to go. We celebrated our 10th anniversary on this trip and it was a great experience. We will most definitely be back! Thanks for putting on such a great tour!

A lot of Kaua'i is inaccessible by foot so this is the perfect option to see the island. There's only one tour offered by the company, unlike their service on other islands. However one is all you need! You get to see everything. We booked this our first full day just in case weather was poor and they needed to cancel. We got to see the Na Pali Coast, Waimea Canyon, waterfalls, valleys, mountains, everything! It was such a cool ride. If the weather and visibility is good you get to go into a valley too. The views are amazing, the pilot was super informative, and this tour was one of our favorite things we did in Kaua'i.

Blue Hawaiian has a great reputation, and good pilots. We could not have seen the Napali Coast views and valleys without a helicopter. We were, however, disappointed with our seat placement again on this ride. Although we had requested the front if possible, My husband and I were placed in the back of the helicopter and he was assigned the center. As a photographer, he was unhappy the entire flight. He said we won't ride with them again. The people selected to sit in the front looked to be about the same weight that we were, so it did t make sense at all. Disappointed. It was a misty, foggy day, but that wasn't the fault of Blue Hawaiian. We had a similar experience on Maui a few years ago with this company, thought we'd try it again.

Our excursion on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters was awesome! The views we saw were truly inspiring and spectacular. We saw most of the island including some great views of the Nepali Coast and the crater with its waterfalls. Our pilot, Scott, was friendly, cheerful, and thankfully, very competent. We were hooked into the copter's intercom system so we could ask questions of him and hear other passenger's questions or comments. We felt very safe during this, our first flight on a helicopter. It was very smooth, comfortable, and not noisy at all.

Top notch staff and pilot (Rick). Our pilot delivered a wealth of facts about Hawaii and made our trip more than just sight seeing. I fly in helicopter EMS and AirMethods hadn't missed a beat with these crews as far as quality and safety! Fantastic experience top to bottom!

STUNNING helicopter tour. The sights are unbelievable. The pilots are extremely knowledgable and help make the ride fun and comfortable. Unfortunately our first tour was cancelled due to weather but when we look back, it was for the better. They did a great job rescheduling us and the day we ended up touring was great. Not much turbulence in the helicopter and very little rain, it was almost unnoticeable. My one caution is about air sickness. If you have ANY concern you might get air sick, take some meds or get the wrist straps. A helicopter tour is a must and blue Hawaiian was wort every penny!

We used Blue Hawaii on our recent trip to Kauai and flew with Brody, no words can describe the flight because it was beyond my ability to describe how incredible it was. Brody was able to bring the canyons to life with Hawaiian culture and history. The helicopters were top of the line, the staff were friendly and professional. Darrell was great, he calmed my nerves as it was my first ride on a helicopter. It was worth every dime! I will tell everyone going to Hawaii to use Blue Hawaii

This was a 2-hour tour of both the volcanoes and the waterfalls in a eco-star helicopter. First of all, there are 6 passengers plus the pilot. There is not a bad seat on board and our pilot Greg was great for taking the extra time to travel back to make sure both sides of the helicopter got fantastic views. I don't like helicopter rides but I enjoyed this one. Greg was very professional and attentive to his flight duties as well as talking wth us about the sights below. We had excellent views of the lava flow into the ocean! We stopped in Hilo to refuel and then off to the north east coast for some really spectacular waterfalls. I gave this a 4-star rating as I was more nervous in the valley than near the volcanoes. I did get slightly nauseous with the turning back and forth to view all the falls - I think it was because the valley was more narrow than the open space. But overall, this was a fabulous tour, which gave a great perspective of the whole island and its vast landscape.

Dale was our captain and guide for a 2hr flight over the Big Island today. It was awesome! Seeing things that would never see any other way. I would do this trip again in a minute. The entire staff was professional and safety conscious. Again awesome trip!!

My boyfriend and I did this on our vacation and it was awesome! The views are incredible and our pilot and guide Julie was phenomenal. She did turns back and forth so that both sides of the helicopter could see the incredible views, found us a rainbow and two waterfalls. Also she made great music selections to listen to while there wasn't any narration; she pointed out all the interesting sights and has great knowledge of Oahu, took all our questions and was very engaging. My boyfriend was in one of the middle back seats and I was worried his view would be obstructed but he said he could still see everything. We had a terrific time and I would highly recommend it. It's pricey but worth it for the experience!

We were very pleased with this company and with our ride out over the bubbling lava dome and lava falls dropping into the sea. We felt that the hour trip was worth the money. It was beautiful and memorable!

First helicopter ride. Dale was our pilot and he was great. He explained what we were seeing and also history of the areas we were seeing. The lava flow is Mother Nature's Show and since it was a clear day it was wonderful. Then from lava to the mountains with water falls, no words to explain what we saw. You need to take the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter trip. Life time experience.
