They push the Eco star which seat 6 meaning 3 don't have a window. A window is basically required for photos. Take the 4 passenger bird. Do as much weather checking as you can. Flights get canceled and the weather is unpredictable. On some tours the route out and back are different which means you have a different experience depending on which side your on. I did the Big Island Spectacular Tour with Richard and it was AMAZING! The eco-star was a smooth ride and even the person in our group who was afraid of flying had a great time. We saw eucalyptus forests and whales swimming in the ocean and the Kilauea volcanic cone and trees on fire from the burning lava flow. We went into valleys that aren't accessible accept by helicopter. Richard was funny and informative and gave us the ride of our lives. Highly recommended!

We had very little time on the Big Island and wanted to see as much as possible and the helicopter tour was the answer. Our pilot Toshi did a fantastic job educating us on the island and he went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable experience. A must do when in Hawaii. You will see things you cannot see any other way!

All I can say is wow! Seeing Kauai by air is beautiful and simply amazing. It was the highlight of our trip! We found Blue Hawaiian to be great to fly with. Due to a change of plans we had to change the day of our flight at the last minute. They happily accommodated us. Our pilot Scott was friendly and showed us the beauty of Kauai.

My boyfriend & i travelled to Maui, Big Island, Oahu and Kauai and we know that we wanted to do a helicopter tour on one island and we are beyond glad that we chose Kauai. Most of the island can only be seen with helicopter so it was definitely worthwhile to do! Choosing Blue Hawaiian was an easy choice! It was highly recommended and came at a great rate! For two people we paid ..$430 USD a little expensive but not more than the other companies. When you book they ask you for your weight (to determine where you sit in the plane). The plane is 4 in the back and 2 in the front with the pilot. Everyone has a good view so even if you sit in the back like we did seats and views were still good. We booked through our hotel and there was a deal that when we did we got a few dollars off, a free cd with a video from all islands and a free t-shirt. When you get there you watch a safety video and go over some safety things than you are off! Its like an hour in the air. Normally i get 'seasick' but i didn't feel nauseous at all! I think it was because i was so consumed with all the beautiful views!! Also when you go wear a dark shirt, because light shirts will have a reflection on the window in pictures!!! While you are flying you get the history of Kauai as well as the names of everything! You'll love it! Would 100% recommend Blue Hawaiian tours on kauai!! AMAZING!

My girlfriend and I went up with these guys on a 55 min island flight. In short... IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING! The views you get from the chopper are amazing and no picture can do it justice. Our pilot Shay was very knowledgable and relaxed. I was hoping for a bit more of a thrilling trip. It was a little too smooth for my liking! Haha... I would have liked a few dips into the mountain. It was very professional though. And I loved every minute!

Highly recommend this company and trip! Our 40th anniversary and this flight was awesome and well worth the cost. We would do it again in a heartbeat! My only complaint was the video we bought didn't work well and we had to take it to an IT person who fixed it for us. After being fixed, the video was a great reminder of our flight.

Going into this my wife and I were a bit worried about flying around in a helicopter, but we were looking for a great adventure, so we went for it :) Turns out the ride was smooth and our pilot, Shay, was calming and professional. You've gotta see the island from above - it's the only way to see the vast undeveloped Kauai interior, and at times it's the only way to see the Na Pali coast (high seas prevented us from booking a boat tour). We chose Blue Hawaiian based on a recommendation from another couple we met. I'm not sure what the differences are between the heli companies but it seemed we flew in a nice aircraft, had a skilled and relaxed pilot, and the company was very organized.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride with Barrett (sp?)! He was very informative as being a native of Kauai. It was my second helicopter ride (also went on Maui 8 years ago) and my husband's first -- he was so impressed -- his favorite part of the trip!

We had a calm flight and our pilot was attentive and took care about all of us during the flight. We did this at the end of our stay and it was amazing to recognize the places we had hiked or visited before. It was the highlight of our stay on Kauai and in our opinion no one should miss this experience.

This was such an amazing experience. I was so impressed with how professional the setup is. from first looking at their website, to the briefing and of course the amazing aircraft and pilots. I've been working on helicopters for many years, and I can tell you this is a professional outfit. We did the waterfall landing. OMG, just breathtaking. This is the most beautiful part of Big Island and only accessible by helicopter. I highly recommend the it.

This was our second ride on this helicopter (we went on it also in Maui) and it did not disappoint. Our pilot nicknamed GoGo was informative and gave us a smooth ride over the coast cliffs, waterfalls and ocean views. Highly recommend this company to anyone. We were asked to view a safety video first, weighed in for weight distribution and instructed and informed prior to takeoff. Located right off main road highway 19.

My flight with Blue Hawaiian was the highlight of my trip to Kauai. I would have left Kauai with a completely difference perception of the island without having had this experience. My pilot, Geoffrey was amazing. He was extremely professional and made everyone feel at ease. He was wonderful at fielding our many questions. The Eco-star helicopters are very nice as well...great aircraft. The tour is just breathtaking and worth every penny. Would not hesitate to use Blue Hawaiian again!

Our Big Island Spectacular flight in an Eco Star was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Our original flight was cancelled due to the weather but we were promptly rescheduled. It was well worth the wait and Marco our pilot was very professional and informative. We were also picked up from our resort in Kona which was greatly appreciated. Don't look at the price when booking this tour, just do it. You will certainly not regret it.

Blue Hawai'i helicopters were professional and fun and their state of the art eco tour helicopters are fantastic. Views were unbelievable, the volcanoes, waterfalls, scenery and the whole experience is definitely worth the cost. Save your money and book this helicopter tour as its a 'must do' in Hawai'i.
