A bit of a splurge, but definitely recommended! Pilot Joff was an amazing guide. I can't speak to how this compares to other helicopter places in Kauai, but a few things about Blue Hawaiian I really enjoyed: - Huge windows on the helicopter: we sat in the front so got even better views, but the windows in the back as well. The plane seats up to 6, and they make sure that at least one person in your party (most were couples) gets a window seat - Very professional: somebody called us the day before to remind us of details, including wearing dark clothing to minimize the glare for photos - Interactive pilot guide: our pilot, Joffrey, is an island local and was great about telling us what we were looking at, giving us recommendations, and pointing out spots where we had gone. - Video for purchase: you can buy a video of your ride for only $25, which is much more reasonable than usual places that have a video/photo that you couldn't get yourself (skydiving, swimming with dolphins, etc) We booked the 9:30 tour because we heard that morning times were best, and it was definitely amazing! The morning clouds had just cleared, the sun was perfect, and we had plenty of time to do some hiking and surfing afterwards.

Absolutely spectacular and Brody was very informative. Well worth a look. Island was really great as weather was fine on our day.

Seeing Kauai by helicopter is a must! Blue Hawaiian was a great experience. The helicopters are new and comfortable and out pilot/tour guide Brody was a great pilot, keeping us smooth and steady against awesome cliff walls. He was also a local with excellent insight and historical knowledge. These aircraft looked much sturdier than those next door at the airport. It was a great experience and I recommend this company if you are planning to see the island this way.

We treated our parents to a Christmas present of a helicopter ride our first day on the island. All the staff we met and encountered were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and safe. Our tour guide Miguel made the ride smooth and informative. The views are stunning and a memorable way to see the the island. Easily one of the highlights of our trip! The helicopters are spacious and comfortable, well maintained and made for a stable ride. Our family would highly recommend using Blue Hawaiian for your helicopter experience!

Phenomenal views of the erupting volcanoes, coasts, and breathtaking flight up through the valleys of the big islands. Weather permitting, this will be the highlight of your trip.

This is the one item that you need to put on your itinerary. It is a little expensive but soooo worth it. If at all possible get the front seats ,the volcanoes ,lava, canyons, the forests of Hilo . Once in a life time .

This was my gift to myself for my 50th birthday. It was the greatest thing I ever did. I’ve been home almost a month and I’m still talking about the experience. Adam was our pilot and he was informative and did an excellent job. The views from the helicopter can not be matched. I felt the view was better than from Diamond Head. I couldn't get over how smooth the ride was. I was lucky enough to get a window seat. Do NOT miss out on this experience. A shout out to Toms River working the counter.

Went on Eco helicopter with our pilot Adam. Was recommended by Shawn at Pleasure a Tours. Was worth every cent. So glad I decided to do this tour with my son.

This was my first time on a helicopter. It was a great experience that I recommend to anyone. It was a smooth ride. The pilot was a great tour guide. At the end, we were able to purchase the video of our flight.

Brody did a wonderful job of showing us all around and telling us the history of the island. The only thing is you don't pick your seats, the computer does for weight. (which is understandable but good to know.) Everything is run like a clock, which is expected when flying in the air. We went as a family of 4 and had a wonderful time and felt safe the entire tour. It's worth the price. Bucket list must do.

My wife and I and a friend took the tour on our first full day on the island and it was well worth the expense. The ground crew was very organized and was helpful and thorough with a safety briefing and assistance boarding the aircraft. Pilot Miguel was an excellent tour guide. The aircraft held six passengers and each has a headset to listen to the pilot, and several microphones to ask questions. The flight took us around the south and west shores, and inland through canyons,over mountains and rainbows,and past waterfalls you just could not see by land. Aside from a friendly back and forth with all the passengers, Miguel was aware of photo conditions and made sure to turn the helicopter so passengers on both sides could get the shot they wanted. The trip lasts a bit under an hour - with check-in and briefing plus post-flight photos, you'll be there about two hours total. If you are on Kauai, make time for this tour.

Thanks to Blue Hawaiian and our pilot Ian for the lift around the Big Island. The views on the Kohala Coast tour were stunning and our pilot was very engaging, showing us sights we would have otherwise never known about. We had only four days on the island and the tour was a great way to experience the northern area. Mahalo from Kyle and Karen in St Louis.

This is the third helo flight I have reviewed, all with Blue Hawaiian (no I do not work for them and yes it did cost a bit for the ride). But holy heck was it worth it. Ethan was our pilot. We watched him land the previous passengers and he was so smooth and controlled we knew we would be in good hands. What we hadn't reckoned on was that he would have a biology background. This meant he could educate us in flora, fauna, and every other aspect of the natural environment. For those of us with a science background this was the icing on the cake. His descriptions and info on past eruptions, state of play with the cinder cone, active lava flows and other aspects of volcanology were spot on. In terms of cost this is an average cost for a quality experience and I know that herein NZ the costs of helo rides are much higher. Would I do this specific ride again? Yes I would and I am already saving for my next trip out there for other flyovers they do.
