We did the West Maui and Molokai tour and it was incredible. From the beginning this company impressed with their professionalism. We were received by a friendly staff who asked us to wait just a few minutes to see the security video. We were then taken to the very comfortable ECO-star helicopter. The pilot was very good and knew so many things about the area and nature in general that made the trip even more enjoyable. Both West Maui and especially Molokai impressed with their beauty. The helicopter goes really close to the Molokai cliffs and that makes you feel really connected to it. If you enjoy helicopter tours this is a MUST do in Maui.
110% to be trusted. We felt safe and sound during the whole trip. Our pilot, Brandon, answered our questiona also dueing the flight. He showed us amazing spots around the island and also gave some tips about movie filming spots etc. The windows were from floor to ceiling so the view was 180 degrees and more. Totally worth every penny!
We booked the ride with the optional landing and it was well worth the extra cost. We saw whales breaching off the coast, red hot magma from a volcano, landed at a waterfall, flew over rain forests and barren land, all narrated by a great pilot with a killer playlist! Truly one of those bucket list days. Thanks, Ian!
Amazing tour. Great staff. You'll get worth your money. We saw the active volcano, great pictures. Whale watching and many many more once in a life time wonders…
We recently decided we'd already seen enough of Oahu from the road, so chose Blue Hawaiian to give us a heli-tour over the island. This must be one of the best decisions ever! Our pilot was Julie & she was extremely knowledgeable about the areas we flew over. From who lived locally to which films had been shot where. Her piloting skills were second to none. As well as keeping us fully informed for an hour, she manouvered in & out of the busy Honolulu air-space with amazing expertise. The flight itself was awesome. From the ground, it is difficult to appreciate the beauty of this island, but once in the air, everything is laid before you in green forests & blue oceans. This deffinately gives a different perspective to the island. We covered not just the Honolulu/Wakiki area, but also all along north & east shores, over Diamond head state park & Pearl Harbour. This tour should be compulsary for anyone staying on Oahu! We've done many heli-tours in the US & this was the best experiance so far. Well done to Blue Hawaiian!
We took this trip whilst on our vacation everything was handled very professionally and prompt which was great so many tours you are kept waiting. Well worth the experience we took some amazing photos from the helicopter and saw amazing scenery. Only downside for me was I air sick but this is not uncommon for me with any motion travel but my husband absolutely loved it.
We took the helicopter trip of Oahu in August 2014. I really enjoyed it we got the see waterfalls up close and the fly over of Pearl Harbor was the best view you could probablly get. My husband was not as pleased as at 6'5" he had to tilt his head the entire trip because he did not fit in the seat he was assigned. This was still worth the $ as it saved us alot of time sight seeing to spend more time at the beach! Pilot fantastic would do this again!
We did this flight. Pilot was Brodie. Absolutely recommend it. Brodie was excellent. The whole setup professionally run. 10 out of 10.
We signed up for the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour Oahu and were so impressed, we took the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour on The Big Island. We had already used BHH on Kauai last year. The pilots share history, culture and knowledge. Professional, safe, fun. We highly recommend this company.
We did the Oahu tour and really loved it. the whole thing was very professional and well run. Pilot was very informative. Unless you get a window seat and can take good pictures then I would just sit back and relax and just buy the dvd of your flight. Window seats are based on the weight distribution so you can ask for them but no guarantees. Worth the money
The Big Island Spectacular tour was listed as an 'optional' excursion for our Hawaiian holiday but was the first thing we booked, and we were not disappointed. This 2 jour flight is well named - spectacular! Our pilot, Toshi was very experienced and gave us a wonderful experience. It's so hard to pick out highlights as the whole trip was awesome from takeoff to landing ?. Toshi flew us over the saddle between Mauna Loa & Mauna Kea, to the two active volcanic vents of Kilauea with their bubbling lava glowing orange and down the lava flow, to see the front edge slowly incinerating the forest, then out to the coast spotting whales & up spectacular valleys to view magnificent waterfalls plunging thousands of feet down the cliffs. You get it all on this trip. It may seem pricey, but is very good value. I would recommend this flight to anyone visiting the Big Island.
The tour is not cheap and neither my wife nor I had been in a helicopter before, so we were somewhat reluctant. Our reluctance changed to pure excitement once we learned of our pilot's (Brad) credentials and we went airborne. The ride was smooth, yet exhilarating. We learned so much about the island, the people and their culture. One other thing that put us at ease was the relative condition of the Blue Hawaiian helicopters. They appeared to be newer and more modern than the other operators. It was an all around fantastic experience and well worth the time and money.
Blue Hawaiian had great reviews so my husband and I booked with them. We were not disappointed. Barrett our pilot is a native and did a fantastic job. We purchased the video not only for the narrative.
Very fun and interesting helicopter flight over and around Oahu. 45 minute flight from the airport over absolutely beautiful and very rugged mountains to the northern "wet" end of the island. Was able to fly over the sites where several movies were filmed (Karate Kid II to the latest Godzilla). Was able to fly over Pearl Harbor to see the USS Arizona and USS Missouri from the air. Very professional and knowledgeable young lady pilot who kept an interesting and running commentary of what we were seeing. The company made sure that all passengers knew about the safety equipment of the helicopter and what we would need to do in the rare event that there was an emergency. Overall, a very worthwhile and fun trip. Would recommend this to everyone to visits Oahu.
Flew with Miguel 2/4/2015. He was great. Talked will all of the passengers. Lots of great info about the island, and answered all questions. We were in seats 2 and 3, in the front. They are assigned prior to trip. It was perfect. It did rain lightly during part of the trip. It was interesting to see the changing climate. Length of 50 minutes was just right. A video is available for purchase of your personal trip afterward. It was about $40. Wish it was included in the price, but was worth it. Conversation and music that was played was on it. If you tried to do it yourself, it would be poorer quality and noisy without commentary. (I did that in the grand canyon years ago before a company made one was available). It is nice not to worry about taking too many pictures and enjoy the ride. Planned trip through Pleasant Holidays and the good reviews on trip advisor. Good compliment to Kauai photo tour where we saw other parts of the island by driving.
