We did the 50 minute tour and loved it. The company is well organized and prompt/efficient is getting everyone weighed in, watching the safety video then into the helicopters. Julie was our pilot and she was fabulous. Knowledgeable and personable. The music they played while flying was soothing and perfect for the gorgeous views. Jagged steep cliffs, cloud shrouded mountain tops, valleys with cascading waterfalls, stunning coastlines of sapphire blue to Caribbean turquoise. You will come away with new found respect and awe of Maui and Molokai. The staff assisted everyone off the helicopter and took everyones photo with their own camera or iPhone in friend of the helicopter. I thought that was a great touch. Enjoy the ride and savor the beauty of Maui with this incredible experience.
This is a must do when in Maui. Seeing Maui from the air allows you a different perspective of the islands. The waterfall views are amazing I have never seen so many waterfalls in one place. Our pilot Julie was knowledgeable, friendly and gave each side the view! Beautiful they have Bose headsets and you listen to her music throughout the tournament
Fantastic tour.. Mike S. was a great pilot. Very personable and knowledgeable. A great view of the island.
Our tour was breathtaking! We flew over the top of Haleakala, into a valley with beautiful waterfalls and aroud the mountainous areas of the island. The pilot asked where we were staying and then flew us over our hotel. We did the whole island tour and it was well worth the cost.
Mike was our pilot, really friendly, really experienced and happy to be doing what he does. The views were spectacular!!!! Fly to Hana and drive back!!!
Weight limit 260 lbs. They will check your weight! Our pilot and crew were pleasant, helpful. Our pilot was very informative and answered all questions of those on our ride. Best way to get the full view of the hidden valleys, lagoons & waterfalls.
We did the whole Maui tour, Captain Jack was our very knowledgeable pilot. Pictures do not do it justice. We took the eco star helicopter this time, did the A star on the Big Island, would recommend the upgrade. Do this, you only live once...
We enjoyed a great flight with Mike S. as our pilot from Maui to Molokai and back on a tour from our cruise ship about three weeks ago. We thoroughly recommend this company as very professional. Mike was very informative with his commentary and gave us a smooth 50minute flight.
My wife, son and I took the West Maui Mountains and Molokai helo tour. It was really beautiful. A must do adventure on Maui. Our pilot was excellent and gave an informative tour. It was a smooth ride and well worth the money.
My cousin and I went on the "Maui Spectacular" with pilot Noah. The flight is 90 min. with a landing and champagne toast! We had to change the route due to weather on Haleakala, but got to see Molokai and all of the West Maui Mountains (in valleys and waterfalls you'd never be able to see otherwise), Kiehi, Wailea, West Maui Coast. I'd recommend the Eco Star because of the comfort of the seats and window viewing. Professional team with safety first values.
We were part of a large group on an incentive trip and this was one of the activities. The Blue Hawaiian company got all of us through so efficiently and with Aloha. The Pilot, Tim was Great and very informative on Hawaiian history and facts on what we were looking at. The views were Unforgettable. We saw a shark swimming near wind surfers and Beautiful Sea cliffs over 3000' tall. I can't say enough about this top notch Tour company. Mahalo Nui Loa Blue Hawaiian
We booked the longest tour, The Maui Spectacular on the Eco-Star. The helicopter was larger than we expected and the ride was great. We were actually in the air for over the 90 minutes we expected and saw almost the entire island. We had a stop on the side on a mountain where the pilot served pineapple wine and told us about the area. While not inexpensive the flight is well worth it in my opinion. It was one of the most memorable times on our trip to Hawaii. Expect to pay to park when you get to the helipark.
I thought this company did a great job. From booking to pre-event communications, to ground crew getting us on the chopper to the pilot. Everything was top notch. The helicopter was very comfortable and it was fun getting to communicate with each other. Our pilot was very nice and very knowledgeable. And the tour we chose was really neat. The two highlights were the massive cliffs and waterfalls of Molokai and the bird's eye view of the coral reef. It was areally cool ride that I would do again in a heartbeat - IF someone else was paying. Honestly, I think the price is excessive. Was almost $300 per person. So it's a one time deal for me. Cut that in half, and I'd probably do it again every time I was fortunate enough to get to Maui. All in all, though, excellent. A must do excursion if you're in Maui and have the funds.
This was our family's first trip to Hawaii - and, like many folks, we spent a lot of time on this site doing research on activities, hotels, etc, and reading (what seems like) hundreds of reviews. And perhaps others here noticed the same thing, but the reviews for Blue Hawaiian were unique - they were not only overwhelmingly positive, but many folks expressed that this was the highlight of their trip. We had never been on a helicopter tour, so I was unsure if this would be true for our family...actually, I was worried that one or more of my family would not enjoy flying in a helicopter. Thankfully, everyone was very excited for this surprise excursion, and like many of the other reviewers, I can attest that his was truly a memorable experience for all of us. We drove from Kaanapali to the airport on the morning of our tour, getting their 45 minutes before the start. The process for checking in was very smooth and structured, and included watching a short safety video. We were then taken out to our helicopter to meet our pilot, John (who was just so very good at what he does). We were then given our headphones that not only allow for conversation during the flight, but allowed us to hear John's great soundtrack for the tour. We took the 'Maui Spectacular' tour, and opted for the Eco-Star helicopter (very comfortable and great views). The tour took us over West Maui, and then we landed on an elevated, grassy area under Haleakala. We were surprised with champagne (and sparkling juice for the kids), and spent about 15 minutes there enjoying the views of Wailea and Molokini. We then went up the side of Haleakala while 'Over the Rainbow' played in our headphones. As we crested the clouds, John pointed out the summit of Haleakala and no joke - my eyes were tearing up. It was just a surreal moment for me. We then flew around the east side of the island, over Hana, and back to the airport. A video of our entire trip - with John's great soundtrack - was available on a USB drive...which was one of many things we bought at the end of the tour :) I can't recommend Blue Hawaiian strongly enough. My thanks to John and everyone there for incredible memories.
Every time we go to Hawaii, we take a helicopter tour w blue Hawaiian. The helicopters are spacious, their pilots are knowledgeable, and the experience is awesome. Very professional company that runs a top-notch operation.
