Brodie was very knowledgeable about the history,the vegetation, and the geologic features of the island. It was a fantastic flight and I will tell our friends if on Kaua'i fly Blue Hawaii!

I am beyond happy that we took the plunge to do this.   We booked through our hotel and lemme say... it ain't cheap!!! But if you save up to do anything here... it's this! Beyond worth every penny!! We booked the volcano and waterfall tour.   From the beautiful drive,  arriving at Hilo airport,  parking and check-in... couldn't have been less stress free.  The staff is super friendly!! They do weigh you,  so no point fudging.  If you've eaten too many cookies lately,  be honest! They will find out,  ha! There is an extra charge for over a certain weight.   No bags allowed,  they will lock them up for free. Our pilot was pat,  and he was awesome!! Very fun,  made sure to tell us what we were seeing,  where and what to look for.  Seemed to thoroughly enjoy this! Now,  to the flight.  My goodness...i just can't put into words what it's like to be flying over a volcano,  seeing lava flow,  the pure majesty of it is overwhelming. Pat made sure to take his time,  communicate with us what we wanted to see and make it memorable! The waterfalls are spectacular as well.  You are not going to see any of these things unless you're in the air.   We will definitely do this again!! A top notch company that assures moments you'll never forget!! They offer several different copters and sites.  Ours offered a USB flash drive for us to keep of the whole flight,  $40, totally worth it!! We can show all our family and friends what we saw.  The gift shop has cool souvenirs and priced great! Be sure to bring cash to tip your pilot! Can't wait to go back!

Worth every cent. Smooth ride, informative pilot(Brent) and fantastic views of Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent on the East Rift Zone. Saw bubbling lava from 300 feet up!! Saw lava entering the sea. Good views - we had the A star helicopter which seats 4 in the back and 2 in the front. Note that the vent you see is not the one visible from the Jagger museum in the national park - that is the summit vent which helicopters can only view from 4000 feet. Professional ground crew and check in process. No hard sell to buy dvd of flight etc. Easy to find at Hilo airport, plenty of parking at $3 hour. We drove from Kona side about 90 minutes

Surprised my husband with this activity; we only visited the Big Island for this and it did not disappoint. My communication with all parties were friendly and prompt. Upon arrival at checkin, we were greeted by Rowena and she was personable and engaging with all the guests. Our pilot Scott was awesome. He was knowledgeable of the area and its history and had a great sense of humor as well as a clear passion for his profession. It was an amazing experience!

Our first visit to Maui so we splurged on a helicopter tour. We went with Blue Hawaiian because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We took the West Maui-Molokai tour on the Eco-Star. We felt very safe and confident with our pilot, Rick. We saw waterfalls, our resort area, coral reefs, etc.The views were spectacular. The ride was much smoother than I anticipated. Whole family loved it!

While in Maui, I did this tour with a friend. You are driven in a nice van with a few other people. If you really want to SEE the Road to Hana, you NEED to do a tour. You will stop at several main beautiful areas & be explained the history of the this remote side of Maui. But wait- there's more! After having a served lunch, on a beach, you are taken to the Hana airport, where you will be flown back to your starting point, in a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter! What a blast of a time! Well worth the time & $$ to see this remote area of Maui. If you drive the Road To Hana, the driver sees nothing, because the extremely winding road.

We intended to book the West Maui tour in the Eco helicopter and were offered a complimentary upgrade to the West Maui + Molokai tour which I HIGHLY recommend. Our pilot was Jack and was incredibly knowledgeable about the sights we were seeing as well as the many questions I asked him about Hawaii and flying. My first helicopter trip and I will definitely be taking others! Be sure to request to sit in the front so that you get the best views. They say they can't guarantee it, but will usually honor it. We told them it was our honeymoon and they happily obliged! Some people have complained that you get ushered in and out quickly, but it didn't bother us at all. We boarded quickly, took off and had an incredible tour and then exited quickly. Honestly, I would rather get on and off quickly and not be sitting there just waiting to take off.
