Brilliant trip. Wesley, our pilot, was full of insightful information.
Brody was great! Knowledgeable and because he was part native Hawaiian, it was obvious that he loved the land he was showing us.
Tamara was awesome, the scenery was breathtaking! Thank you for the great experience. Everyone was friendly and welcoming! I recommend this experience to everyone!
This was my first time in a helicopter. The crew took great care of us and prepared us for the flight. The safety video was perfect for letting us know what to expect. Our pilot, Marty, was excellent. He had a lot of great information to share with us. This was a trip of a lifetime that I will remember forever.
This is one of those you must do things in Hawaii and Blue-Hawaiian was perfect. Clear, easy to understand and FABOULOUS TOUR!!!!!
Kristy was awesome!!
Fabulous view of all of Kauai. This is a must do, trip of a lifetime!
Lava and waterfall tour. Fantastic! Great adventure!
The volcano tour on Blue Hawaiian helicopters is a once in lifetime type of experience. You fly directly over the caldera of Pu’u O’o, the active volcano and follow the lava flows course all the way to its ocean entry. The views are spectacular the entire trip. You end with a journey over the waterfalls and rivers near Hilo before circling Hilo Bay and returning to the airport. Well worth the money, you won’t be disappointed.
Tony was a fantastic pilot and tour guide! We were fortunate enough to see the whole island under a mostly sunny sky. Highlights were definitely Na Pali Coast and extinct crater. Highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to Kauai or one of the other islands!!
I had never flown in a ‘copter before, so there was some trepidation on my part. My wife didn’t come with me. There were 6 of us, including the pilot...can’t remember his name right now, it’s been almost 5 months ago. He was very informative, and receptive to questions. Took some great pictures, although I was in the back at a window. The gentleman in front of me wore shorts, and the reflection of his bare legs in the window is seen clearly in many of my pics. They encourage you to wear dark clothes for this reason, but don’t enforce it. I was in a dark suit — yeah, I know, wearing dress clothes and not casual sounds weird, going on a helicopter excursion — didn’t have time to change — it would’ve been better for everyone’s pictures if I’d been seated in front, but they have to designate seating based on weight, and I’m a hefty guy. Oh well, it was a nice experience overall. The scenery was breathtaking, areas that would otherwise be almost inaccessible, seeing so much in a short period of time, less than an hour. The employees were friendly. I’d definitely do it again.
Our experience started with a very courteous host, Mark. He was very welcoming and interesting to talk to. Our pilot was Hugo and he was awesome as well! Blue Hawaiian just started a new flight plan where we actually landed on Molokai! Once we got out of the helicopter, we were offered yummy Champaign and quava bars and had the opportunity to explore for a few minutes. The scenery was breathtaking and of course, watching the whales from above was indescribable!
Our pilot was Fantastic -- Ethan -- who was enthusiastic after how many flights? The scenery was Fantastic and we will remember it a very long time. Seeing the lava both in the crater and in the lava tubes and also in the flows -- Fantastic. We learned many interesting facts about Hawaiian life. I can't recommend this too highly, don't miss it.
There are truly no words to describe what an incredible experience this was. After days of bad weather, we were blessed with perfect, clear skies and a very smooth ride. It was my first time in a helicopter and I was a little nervous, but Brian did an amazing job of putting everyone at ease. Thank you for making our honeymoon even more special than it already is!
Our pilot Brian was great. The weather had been very bad for several days. We expected fog and bumps to the point of fearing motion sickness. Nada! Fantastic smooth ride. Everywhere we looked, waterfalls. I had a rear middle seat and still had a great view. Brian surpassed himself to make sure that everyone got to see all there was to see. He knew his stuff! Hats off and thank you for a fantastic ride!
