Views were spectacular. Our pilot Scott was very informative and it really made our trip to Kauai amazing
We waited until a day before our only open day to call for a flight. They were able to put one together. My wife and I flew the Molokai trip with pilot Dave and it was fantastic. The views are amazing. He found us a whale even very late in the season, and his commentary was very interesting. We really enjoy the video. I lost my camera and I wasn't sure where I'd lost it. Kathy of Blue Hawaiian figured out from the camera who we were and tracked us down. She called to verify it was our's and sent it to us. I am highly appreciative. This is a class organization from our first call through the flight and returning the camera. Absolutely the highlight of our trip. Special thanks to Dave & Kathy!!
We are presently visiting Maui. We booked a trip to Molokai and the western side of Maui. Our pilot was Emery (retired Oakland Police Department helicopter pilot). Our trip was fantastic and Emery is a great pilot. He made for a fun and memorable trip. I would highly recommend this trip ... and I would highly recommend this as a way to see the islands. I am not sure what our speed was, but it was if we were just standing still. The last time I had been on a helicopter was in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam war ... so this was more scenic and more enjoyable ... and the flight was much less turbulent
From booking to landing, our experience was nothing short of spectacular. We chose the Eco-Star West Maui/Molokai helicopter tour. I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian for their professionalism, safety and overall experience.
My husband, myself and another couple booked this flight and were not really sure what to expect. We were all nervous but the employees made us feel very comfortable. Our pilot was amazing and very knowledgable! I was concerned when we were seated because I was sat in the back right corner and I didn't think I would be able to see very well. But it was not like that at all. On the way out I saw mostly ocean and saw glimpses of the mountains but on the way back I was able to see everything. The pilot got very close to the cliffs and the waterfall and he made sure we all got amazing views!
We took the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour while we were in Maui. A fantastic view of the volcano crater, and the entire coastline. Our pilot described everything we flew over. She was very informative. This tour really gave us a reference to our further exploration of the island. Maui has it all! From rainforest on the wet side to the dry side of the island which resembles the surface of the moon. Relaxing and beautiful..
Great experience to see the world from a different view. The sights from up in the sky really make you appreciate what a world we live in.
If you have never seen Hawaii from a helicopter, budget in this tour on your next trip. What a wonderful way to see Maui! This was my first helicopter experience, and it was as smooth and enjoyable as I could have hoped for. The pilot was wonderful and friendly, and gave us the inside scoop about island history and sites. We drove the Road to Hana the day before (and loved that) but to cover the same ground in about four minutes was intoxicating. By the way, my wife is prone to a little motion sickness and had zero trouble with this helicopter ride. Highly recommended!
Spectacular views combined with a knowledgeable tour guide and Inspiring music - loved it! In particularly loved the waterfalls.
I definitely recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for a sky tour around Maui. We brought our 16 month old son & they were so wonderful with him too. He did great by the way in the helicopter. The front desk lady was so friendly, well prepared for us, gave us instructions for preparing for our flight (i.e. no carry on bags, what to bring or put away, etc.). And I absolutely cannot say enough for how knowledgeable our pilot was of the areas we flew over, as well as Maui and Hawaii as a whole (their resources, eco system, food production, fishing and fish ponds, marine life, the history). He was truly a walking encyclopedia and was amazing to listen to. While not speaking, they played cool, layed back music. It was nice!
Went on the Maui-Molokai tour, absolutely gorgeous. Pilot was very professional and entertaining, knew lots of interesting tidbits about the islands. All of the other representatives were very accommodating and and thorough with all safety checks. We loved the whole experience, would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Maui.
This was a real highlight of our glorious week on the Big Island. I booked a tour for 9 family members online prior to our arrival and we departed from their Waikoloa location for the Kohala Coast Adventure. Super friendly staff. We took off in an eight passenger Eco-Star, with pilot and three front passenger seats along with four rear passenger seats. A weight formula tells the staff where to seat each passenger. I won the seat lottery with an up front, on the door seat. Flight was smooth and solid. The pilot was the perfect tour guide and incredibly informative. The Kohala Coast was breathtaking, with spectacular hovers near the towering waterfalls up the rainforest valleys. Great staff, great company, great adventure. Thanks!
My husband and I did the tour with NCL in Kauai. I was the best way to see the Na Pali Coast. Our tour guide Jason, was very informative and being a native to the island gave us a little more insight. The flight is smooth and is able to get you into some tight corners. The island itself has a beautiful history. I am so glad thr Robinson family has kept a majority of the island reserved.
My husband and my first time to fly in a helicopter! WE LOVED IT! It was magical! Flew on top of a rainbow! That also meant it was raining so the pilot said it wasn't "safe" to fly all the way to Hana to see the entire island. Disappointing. It was very expensive! $900 for 2 people to fly in the helicopter! We did it for our anniversary. So I guess it was a once in a lifetime experience!
Words cannot explain the trip you will take through mountainous regions visualizing 2000 ft waterfalls as well as flying over the caldera of Kilauea- the active volcano. For life experiences, this parallels the Great Wall of China!
