You're in Maui. It may be the only chance you get. Take a helicopter tour! My wife and I recently took the Molokai and west Maui tour on our honeymoon. It was an amazing experience!! The pictures we came back with were breathtaking. We did pay slightly more for the "Eco" copter so we had better seats and went home with a souvenir Blu-ray Disc. It felt like we escaped real life and entered a movie set. The fun thing was they played theatrical scores during the flight (Jurassic Park, Hawaii Five-0, etc.).
A must if in Honolulu. The 45 minute flight covers all of Oahu and you get to see a lot. Sit near a window if possible otherwise your stuck in the middle of the helicopter making it difficult to see. Pick up and return from the hotel was a plus and was included it the cost. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you don't do anything else spend your money on this ride. Also get the DVDs which covers your flight. Great to look at a later date.
This is one of the more expensive things you can do.. But, worth every penny.. I don't especially like the idea of hiking a jungle in the heat, but flying over it was amazing.. I took the flight to molokai, and it was stunning, the cliffs, the waterfalls are all something that no hiking is going give you the same views as you will from the chopper. The people were great, the staff was very professional, and focused on making sure you have a good time, and enjoy the experience.
We took the West Mts and Molokai trip and it was breathtaking! My son said this was the highlight of our trip to Maui and its definitely on the top of my list too! Blue Hawaiian was great and Ryan was a fun and knowledge pilot! Great time!
We did the Maui Lite tour and it was fantastic! Super safe and very informative! The views are breathtaking. Best money spent, a must do!
Unbelievable!! The views were spectacular, especially the Waterfall and the place where Jurassic Park was filmed. The Pilot was so professional and a pleasure to fly with her.
The entire experience was FANTASTIC, between the views and the music while flying your forget your in an aircraft. By chance we flew through 3 rainbows that day!!!
I was hesitate at first because I found it to be a little pricey but I can honestly say it was completely worth it. The views were so breathtaking that I began to cry. The ride was smooth and the pilot was very knowledgeable.
We took the west Maui Molokai flight with Rick and it was nothing short of spectacular. I cannot overstate how breathtaking the views are, especially of Molikai and its coastline and waterfalls. Pictures cannot capture how amazing this tour is. Rick and the entire team were friendly and professional and the echo star is worth the extra money due to the larger windows alone. Our teens and we did ALOT while in Maui and this was one of our absolute favorites. Tip to all who read - please please for your own sake and that of your fellow passengers, wear dark colors with no logos and no stripes. We saw clowns in aloha shirts and flowery dresses and their picture had to be ruined. The heliport is not hard to find. If you have an iPhone map just search Blue Hawaiian and you'll be fine. Just don't take the very last left but follow the heliport sign.
Our tour covered the North side of Maui and Molokai. This island (Molokai) is where the Jurrassic World movie was filmed and our helicopter was the one that filmed the movie. It was also in the movie. It was very cool seeing the island and the helicopter in the movie after we got to tour the island in that very helicopter!. The staff at Blue Hawaiian were very knowledgeable and our pilot was fantastic! There were three people in our group and all three of us got to sit in the front of the helicopter, so we had excellent views of the islands!
This tour of Kauai was the most remarkable and breath taking of any I've seen around the world Words can't describe the awe and wonder of seeing the most remote ares of this beautiful island paradise.
Highly recommended. We (family of four, kids 12 and 10) did the West Maui/Molokai run which was recommended for great scenery, plus that fact that most folks will never see Molokai otherwise. My wife was a nervous about the helicopter but enjoyed it as well. Very smooth flight and spectacular sights. Not cheap but worth every penny!
We recently enjoyed the Maui Spectacular tour. Barrett was our pilot and he was very informative and knowledgable about the area. Maui is very beautiful from the air. Lots on mountains, valleys and waterfalls, not to mention the amazingly blue ocean. I would highly recommend this company if you are interested in a helicopter tour!
We did this in the first day of our visit to Honolulu. The trip around the island itself was fantastic -- with beautiful views - but also helpful in deciding where to go the next few days by car.
After reviewing several helicopter tours for the Big Island, I decide on Blue Hawaiian for our trip. My wife, son and I were very excited to see the volcano, should I say potential hot lava flow. We arrived at the prescribed time, which was important because they are very punctual. After a brief description of the seat belts, doors and headsets we all loaded up (a total of 6 passengers and the pilot. Our pilot was very knowledgable about the landscape of Hawaii and skilled at flying the copter. We started off by visiting lava flows and there is a lot of lava flows. So much so that it was becoming overkill spending so much time on that scenery. But where you get your money's worth is flying over lush rainforest, along the coastline and seeing the long waterfalls. Absolutely gorgeous. The only way to really see this site was by air. Our flight was on the Eco-Copter. Very quite with individual seats and room not to feel cramped in a bowl. We remained cool and comfortable the entire tour.
