Our fly over Maui with 3 other colleagues and partners was absolutely great, especially with the flying skills and island cultural knowledge of our pilot. We had relaxing Hawaiian music in our headphones when not interacting: very soothing even for those who did not fly helicopter before. A great experience.
My husband Jim and I went on a tour of Oahu this morning with pilot Loren who was awesome! With this being my first time on a helicopter ride, he made it such a great experience and trip that I never felt nervous once! This was definitely the hi light of our trip! Thanks Loren?
My wife and I took the complete island tour of Maui on Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and it was incredible. Extensive parts of the island, and the most beautiful parts, to boot, are not visible by land but an hour in the air reveals mountain valleys, waterfalls, and secluded areas in this unimaginable. The ride was generally smooth (a few bumps are inevitable when flying closely over mountains) and our pilot was highly skilled. My wife was apprehensive beforehand, and thrilled to have done it, afterward. Blue Hawaiian is an essential way to completely see Maui.
We have taken Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours twice and loved both times. This time, we did a full Island tour over Maui and it was fantastic. The pilot was very knowledgeable and engaged all of the passengers in dialogue about the history and environment of Hawaii. He was so helpful and entertaining! Our five-year-old son enjoyed the ride immensely, especially when we flew over the volcano. It is well worth the expense to see Hawaii from this perspective and Blue Hawaiian's service and safety record are top notch. We will only recommend Blue Hawaiian to our friends looking for helicopter tours in Hawaii.
The trip was incredible and the staff was so sweet:) The pilot was very friendly and took us around the island! I highly recommend!
We flew thru the Wilimea Crater and down the Napoli coast. I was left speechless the throughout the adventure. What a sight to see. It is expensive but worth it for this once in a lifetime experience.
We booked the Maui Spectacular tour and were a little disappointed that they had to over us a different route due to the weather. However, the views we got were beautiful, and the landing for a couple of glasses of Champaign on the mountain hill, had spectacular views. Would definitely recommend.
What an awesome experience! The pilot was very knowledgeable and I got a an education while up in the helicopter viewing the magnificence of Maui and Molokai! The waterfalls, the mountains, just everything were gorgeous! I am at a loss for words, it is truly an experience everyone should indulge in once in their life!
This was my family's first helicopter tour and the entire experience was spectacular. The West Maui / Molokai tour is a visual wonderland -- lush valleys, waterfalls, the cliffs of Molokai, coral reefs and all the sights that make Hawaii a traveler's paradise. The staff at Blue Hawaiian could not have been more pleasant and accommodating, and the waiting room/staging area facilities are first rate. Our pilot, Glenda, was an exceptional operator and tour guide -- my 13 and 15 year-old daughters really enjoyed sitting in front next to her. Glenda's demeanor is perfectly suited for this business - calm, friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable about the islands. Finally, the Eco-Star helicopter we flew on is state of the art -- quiet and comfortable with excellent visibility for everyone on board.
Friendly service, very quick getting in on and off the helicopter and the views were amazing. Also location was very easy getting too.
We flew with Capt Gernot, who has 20+ years experience all over the U.S. (Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii). He was safe, informative, and funny. He pointed out a lot of neat things we would've otherwise missed. He answered all her questions when he was free to talk. He was communicating with the radio tower for the first five minutes and the last five minutes of the flight. Other than that, he was communicating with us and really helped improve the experience. One piece of advice: don't go through one of the agents on front street to get a discount in exchange for a timeshare presentation. I talked to the folks at blue Hawaiian about this. They said to contact them directly through the reservations desk. They can negotiate with you on price to get you a comparable rate and spare you the pain of a timeshare presentation.
We were a little nervous about our first helicopter tour but it was amazing! We chose the Maui West/Molokai tour and I highly recommend. Book yourself to get a little better price and ask to sit in the front for best seat in the house and best views! No purses or bags or hats, lockers available. Wear dark clothing. We got such wonderful photos!!
Whilst researching what to do in Kauai for our trip we naturally visited TripAdvisor and did what the reviews told us to do...book your helicopter trip at the beginning of your holiday. We are so glad we took this advice. The trip was steely fantastic and would recommend this to all who visit. Geoff our pilot is a native of Kauai and knew everything about his island.
This is one of those "must do" stops on Maui. We flew with Captain Chris. It was a very smooth ride, he was very professional, funny, and informative. I didn't feel at all unsafe but I was nervous to begin. They are very safety conscious and took time to instruct us all on emergency procedures. The views and sights were extraordinary. We didn't get to fly over the Haleakala crater because of the weather that day but we flew over west Maui & our resort in Lahaina, Molokai, and Lanai. The sights were amazing & things we would never have seen from the ground, but it is pricey. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui.
We recently enjoyed going on the full tour with the bus to Hana, and the helicopter ride back from Hana. On the way to Hana we met our wonderful bus driver, Gary, for our bus ride. We took the Rode to Hana in the bus having a great time along the way. Our tour guide knew a ton about the Rode to Hana and provided us with fun information. We stopped along the way with stops like a waterfall swim, tasty treats like banana bread, and the location from a scene that Jurassic Park was filmed at. We arrived in Hana getting a tour of the small town, and stopping at Wai'anapanapa State Park for lunch. Our tour guide dropped us off at the Hana Heliport as we met our pilot for the ride back. As we boarded our helicopter our pilot thoroughly helped everyone if they needed help and started the helicopter. We were soon in the sky without any trouble. We flew safely with our pilot pointing out things like waterfalls, plants, and more. The island is so green and from the sky you get a stunning bird's eye view of Maui. The pilot played some fun music that we listened to from our headphones that we got on the helicopter. We soon landed happily! We arrived back safely and we loved the trip!
