Low cloud hampered our true goal, to see lava from the crater of Pele, otherwise the ride was ok. If we saw lava, it would have been a 5.

I am sooooooooooo excited to do this trip last minute and it's one of the most unforgettable experience in my life so far!!! Amazing pilot and good job, Wesley! He's been explaining everything during this whole trip and I would definitely recommend my friends who plan to visit Hilo to do it again!

Our pilot was great! Good info about the island. If you get slightly motion sick you should take something one hour before the flight. Also, they suggested we bring a light sweater but it was totally unnecessary. We had the ac on because the sun beats through the glass and when we landed for a glass of champagne we didn't need it either. We flew at 3 pm in the end of Oct.

Awesome helicopter ride and the pilot, Lauren, was great. Truly a spectacular ride with absolutely gorgeous scenery. Did it with trepidation but truly worth the adventure. Loved it!
