Absolutely the best helicopter tour I’ve ever been on! Daren was our pilot, and he was incredible! I would highly recommend the waterfall landing. It was surreal! I will definitely be doing this again!

Fantastic tour insights and sights you would otherwise miss.Highlights included Napali Coast and Crater, Waimea Canyon was pretty epic also. Tidbits were fun-a lot of trail tips, and paddleboarding spots also. Highly recommend it. Do this whenever you still have some days left on your trip-that way you can check out some of the tips.

First time on a helicopter. Great view of the volcano and shoreline, waterfalls and lava flow. Pilot was great. Felt very safe. Would highly recommend. Thanks Blue Hawaiian!

It's nice facility. The pilots are knowledgeable and skilled, and they have a strong emphasis on safety. The Eco-Stars are immaculate and appear to be very well-maintained. Very comfortable and the visibility is good (unless you're sitting in the two middle-rear seats...we weren't and had a great view). Other side of the coin...over the last three years, I've scheduled 5 trips with Blue Hawaiian...all of them being the Big Island Spectacular. All but one of them was canceled due to weather. With the most recent one, a week ago, they offered the Kohala Coast tour as a stripped-down alternative after canceling the BIS. It was a spectacular ride, and cheaper, but not what we were expecting or hoping for. Obviously Blue Hawaiian can't control the weather, and I would never second-guess a pilot's estimate of dangerous flight conditions...I'm just sayin' that if you book a flight and plan the time, be prepared for the very real possibility, even likelihood, that your flight will be canceled (though through no fault of Blue Hawaiian). They might be able to offer an alternative flight, or a flight on a different day. Or maybe not. One additional observation...the EcoStar has 4 cameras on board that record the entire flight, with the pilot switching between the cameras. The video from the Kohala Coast tour we took cost about $45. One of the cameras, the one straight ahead from the nose, was non-functional. Way oversaturated, basically unusable as a memento since the best views were unwatchable. I emailed them about it, but no response. Disappointing, but...live and learn.

This is my second ‘Island Spectacular’ trip with Blue Hawaiian Helecopters over a span of 4 years. To really see the Island of Hawaii - the spectacular remote waterfalls and volcanic activity that can only be accessed by air, choose Blue Hawaiian. They have experienced pilots who share their knowledge about the Island & details of the scenery traversed. This trip was with Karl who flew us over last year’s volcanic activity before heading for the waterfalls. Such grandeur, such amazing verticality and water volume from each waterfall. Such a show of force by Mother Nature! See it from the air - you will be amazed.
