We took an island tour with our Blue Hawaiian Helicopter pilot Toshi this afternoon and we had a great time! It’s a relatively expensive couple of hours, but well worth it for how much ground can be covered in the air versus driving about the Big Island. Toshi was a very safe, knowledgeable and entertaining pilot who have his five passengers the benefit of his 20+ years as a pilot for Blue Hawaiian. The Airbus helicopter we used was clean and, obviously, very well maintained. The cabin was kept cool and comfortable despite the outside heat. We saw the Big Island from one end to the other and more volcanoes that I’ve ever seen in one small area. At the end of the ride we even saw whales at play just offshore. Fun from start to finish and highly recommended!

Where do I start. The experience as totally awesome. Jenny in the office is absolutely exceptional. I do not want to try and slaughter my pilot's name (Kojo??)--he was so great about showing us great points of interests and making sure we were able to get great photos.

The easiest and smoothest way to see what Kauai has to offer. Just sit back, relax & enjoy the view.

Well worth it! Best way to see parts of island that are virtually unaccessible.

Our pilot Gregg was amazing. His knowledge and humor is perfect and appreciated. Tear producing emotions. Spectacular!

Only way to see Kaui! Pay extra for the front seats!

Aloha BHH- Hilo tour group! We had such a great time getting to know Johnessa, Myriam, & Wesley. While we didn't get to fly due to low clouds and rain (yes it does rain in Hawaii), all the folks at B. H. were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful with the tour & aircraft info, and then with places to go and expierence after our pilot, Ethan, made the "call" to not fly. If the tour experience itself is anything like the experience we just had, I highly recommend this outfit located at the Hilo Airport!

I'm happy with my decision to fly with Blue Hawaiian. I felt safe and the choppers certainly look modern. My pilot was Eric. Former military pilot. Cool guy, very knowledgeable in the topography and Maui's cultural history. This amplified the entire experience. I flew (and recommend) the Maui Spectacular with the landing on the slopes of Haleakalā. The view at the landing spot overlooks Molokini. It left me speechless and I marveled at how quiet and serene it was. Pros & cons (leading to only 4/5 stars): PROS: --Coffee and water bottles before departure. --Very friendly staff. --Could easily see and identity whales. --Repeat flier discount. CONS: --One of the rules outlined on the ticket was "dark colored clothing." I wish they enforced this as the front right passenger wore a bright red dress which reflected brilliantly in both the front and side windows. --Front seats are certainly best followed by rear left as the chopper primarily circles the island counterclockwise. I was assigned rear right meaning I spent most of the flight looking across the cabin and out the opposite side window. My neck was sore by the end from craning so much. The pilot did make sure to spin around at the best waterfalls as well as the Haleakalā summit so I could have an unobstructed view but it was tricky catching most of the smaller falls. --Pay to park. I mean, c'mon. Really? There's a dirt field right next to it that appears to be the employee lot. No pay parking there. --$62.50 for the video of your flight. Yeah, hard pass.

Epic experience! The best way to explore Maui fast. Highly recommend. This is the type of the experience you’ll remember on your deathbed. People who leave a 4-star review amaze me... what can you possibly not like on a helicopter tour?!
