This is one of the best things to do in Kauai. You really get to see most of the Island. Besides the waterfall for Jurassic Park and Waimea Canyon you fly to the cost of Nā Pali and end up visiting the crater og Mount Waiʻaleʻale where you get to feel tiny as a fly surrounded by several 3000 feet waterfall. Our pilot Shae knew a lot of the Island. Really a great thing to do.

Due to heavy storms, we had two trips cancelled. The Blue Hawaiian staff was great about getting us rescheduled each time and once we finally were able to go, it was worth the wait. Barrett was the pilot for our group of 6 and had a good balance of information, humor, and not feeling like he had to talk every second of the flight. We saw so many parts of Kauai that we could not have otherwise, and because of the rain the waterfalls seemed to flow out of every single crack of the mountains. Everyone had good views and Barrett did a good job of pausing and turning the helicopter around at key sites to make sure everyone got a range of views. I emailed several companies prior to booking, and Blue Hawaiian impressed me with their thoroughness, reviews, and overall value. I was not disappointed in our choice.

Although we have been to Kaua’i several times, we never took a helicopter tour of the island. It was recommended by the Marriott conscierge to take a Blue Hawaiian helicopter. it was absolutely wonderful! Arrangements were made by the conscierge to arrive at the designed time. There was a safety video presentation that took just a few minutes. We were told that our pilot was Scott who did such a good job! We were called one by one and buckled into our seats. We had noise cancelling headphones that allowed us to hear Scott describe the waterfalls, canyons, mountains and towns. He encouraged questions of his 6 passengers, although we all so amazed at what we were seeing, that everyone just listened to Scott talk about the history of Kaua’i ... Scott was very calming and we throughly enjoyed our first helicopter ride. We would definitely recommend this activity, seeing the Napoli coast by boat last year was nice, but seeing it by air was amazing ! We even went into the extinct crater ! We think the Blue Hawaiian company did a great job. They offered a video for purchase, which we did. It has been a wonderful keepsake that we have already watched several times! We felt completely safe .. give it a try !

Great way to see all parts of island. Barrett was our pilot. Very smooth and quiet ride. Pilot is a native and very informative. Passengers were able to ask questions. All were answered factually. We did a 1 hr. afternoon ride. Some haze but not bad. Napali coast was stunning.

Due to the Winter (February) rough waters, we were reluctant to take the roughly 4-5 hour catamaran tour of the Nepali Coast. And due to the weather with fog at Waimea Canyon, we were likewise reluctant to take the drive to view from top of the canyon if foggy. We decided instead to see the highlights of Kauai by helicopter. We were not disappointed. Once arriving at the nearby airport location for the helicopter tours, we checked in and waited about 20 minutes for a security briefing. The staff were attentive and security minded, which added to the confidence that we would have a safe experience. Once onboard the helicopter, our pilot also provided us with confidence. He gave a wonderful tour both in terms of where we went, but also in terms of the history and explanations he provided. The views - even with some clouds that day - of Kauai by air is magnificent. You will see the valleys where Jurassic Park was filmed, glorious beaches, foliage, mountains, valleys, canyons and the famous Nepali Coast. The 50 minutes flew by. Once your journey is complete, you can purchase a video of the tour including clear views of the 6 passengers form within the helicopter. Which by the way was very comfortable even for the two passengers who get the middle two seats.

What an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly organized and they have the orientation and boarding process down to a science. The ride itself was smooth and provided amazing views of the island. The pilot was experienced and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Tip: They recommend wearing dark colors so that the reflection of bright clothing doesn't interfere with your pictures. I did wear black shorts and a black short sleeve shirt, but the reflection of my arms and legs still showed up in some of the pictures. I would suggest wearing long sleeves and pants to get the best pictures possible.

Our experience on this charter was fantastic! We will definately use this company again. Our pilot was very informative and the flight was very smooth. She had very good descriptive tie-ins to the film history of the locations we viewed, too. The island is so beautiful it is hard to go wrong, but our pilot made sure to give us time to take great shots. Don't waste time taking videos, however,  just buy the video that HoloHolo sells. It is much better than anything you can do yourself. That said, our photos were Great! Just don't forget to actually look out the windows and absorb the moment instead of always looking through a camera lens. Enjoy the moment and don't forget to take advantage of the land crew taking a photo of you in front of the helicopter at the end.

Great way to see Hawai’i, speachless after seeing the huge waterfalls, ask for Greg Go, the ride was smooth and fun, if you are going before 7am wear a very light jacket and sunglasses for later in the sky, no hays or bags needed, enjoy the skies!

First helicopter tour and loved it. Toured the south, west and south shores of Kauai. Saw the Napali Coast, the canyon and a few whales. Pilot was superb and informative. Always felt safe.

Our pilot was a native Hawaiian, so that was a big plus. He knew everything about the island and cared for it very much. We found out a lot of interesting details about Kauai and saw it up close too. Seeing Kauai from a helicopter is truly an unforgettable experience, especially the majestic Na Pali coast and all the wonderful waterfalls. Even though we had a cloudy and rainy day ... it was still one of the best experiences we had on this whole trip.

We booked the circle island tour and were very pleased with the entire service, from the friendly staff when we arrived to the awesome pilot named Greg who made the trip a memory we will never forget. I would highly recommend Blue Hawaiian helicopters to anyone who wants to really see the island of Kauai.

This tour was an absolute blast. Marty was our pilot and we couldn’t of asked for a better person, his knowledge of the island and interesting facts made the ride fun and interactive. He also created an amazing playlist for the entire ride including a fun section of Jurassic Park theme song as we passed the famous waterfall couldn’t recommend this company enough and definitely do a helicopter tour while on this island.

Stunning, peaceful, incredible - a few words to describe the helicopter tour we took of the island of Kauai. I hadn't flown in a helicopter before this tour, so I was a little bit nervous to fly in a small aircraft being so close to the land. But my nerves calmed as soon as we took off, as the pilot assured us that safety is his top priority, and he will not fly if it's unsafe. It was also reassuring to know that he has flown many, many times. The pilot was relaxed and informative during the flight. He was born on Kauai, so knows the island well, and told us about the sights as we flew over them. The amazing views began right as we took off and didn't end until we landed. It was so incredible to be so close to the land and to see the entire island so intimately. During the hour long flight, we flew over mountains, had views of the ocean, went into Waimea Canyon, and then rounded the bend to a stunning view of the Napali Coast stretching before us. We saw a double rainbow and whales swimming below us as we circled to get optimal views. Our pilot made sure to point out the whales he spotted and many other notable spots on Kauai. I like to take pictures, and brought my camera on board. I was not seated next to a window, but that was not a problem at all for getting great pictures. There were seven people on the flight total, including the pilot, three in the front and four in the back. I was in the middle of the back seat, but the big windows in the front and on the sides allowed for optimal views and picture taking opportunities for all passengers. The pilot made sure to turn the helicopter to make sure everyone had a good chance to see all angles of the scenery and to take pictures. My first helicopter experience at Blue Hawaiian Helicopters was amazing, and I highly recommend it if you visit Kauai. The views are unbeatable, the pilot was professional and personable, and the whole experience of being so close to the amazing landscape was incomparable.

This was a blast! Our pilot Tony was professional, funny, and engaging. Seeing the island from above is breathtaking.

We enjoyed this great ariel view of the island. All of the crew were nice. This is a good way to get an overview of the island. Beautiful scenery.
