Really enjoyed my flight with Scott H. And Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. I only wish they would communicate more that the passengers wear dark clothing. Guy seated in front of me wore a black shirt and very light grey shorts which caused glare. I was able to get some good photos but would be better if passengers wore all dark clothing as advised.

From the reception staff, ground crew and the pilot all very nice! Before departure you are given a short security briefing, then you are given a number position for boarding, these are not cheap helicopters, they are state of the art, so comfortable, you get headphones and even a mike to speak with the pilot. The sites you see and the pilot narration makes it such an enjoyable experience. The whole tour is videoed and taped so you can purchase a DVD of the experience. All I can say, is I would do it again! Note: Remember to wear dark colors as not to reflect off the glass when you are trying to take pictures from inside the copter. My pics came out great!

I live here so I was waiting for the "perfect" day. With work and other things getting in the way I was running out of time to cash in on my gift. The day I booked was raining and many flights on the east had to be cancelled, but ours was not. I was concerned that the views would be veiled in cloud, but with the knowledge of our pilot I flew through a vision of an Island that I have never seen. Misty, dreamy, green valleys and waterfalls everywhere. Amazing! Ground crew was exceptional and pilot superb. I can't wait to do it again! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We came all the way from London to Hawaii to see Kilauea and, as part of that, took a Blue Hawaiian flight. A smooth trip out over Pahoa (where we were staying) to the coast were the lava is currently entering the ocean, over to the Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent and then on to waterfalls. Our pilot, Adolf, gave a great commentary and answered our questions as well as giving us awesome views at the ocean edge and the vent, as well as over the lava fields. Well worth the time and money to get a different perspective - viewing the volcanic park and area from the ground is great but the flight added another dimension.

I wasn't sure how my wife was going to like this experience, but she absolutely LOVED it. Our pilot was Shay, and he was wonderful. We rode in a climate controlled Eco-Star helicopter. The ride was quiet and peaceful with Shay's personally chosen music quietly playing. Shay provided wonderful information about the sites we were seeing from above. Seeing the un-driveable Na-pali Coast from the air was unbelievably beautiful - my wife had tears in her eyes. There are several eco-systems on Kauai, so seeing them all from the air is spectacular, from canyons that look like you are out west on the mainland to an inactive volcano, lush valleys, rivers, numerous waterfalls and spectacular coastlines. It's worth the price, it's safe, and it is definitely a bucket list item you should consider checking off!

What can I say that hasn't been said already? Blue Hawaiian Helicopters provides top notch service. They are incredibly professional and organized. I particularly loved the curated playlist during the flight -- it was spot on. I'd never been on a helicopter before and they took away all my fears, it was just plain fun. We went on the flight on our first day on Kauai and it was the best way to start the trip. We got a lay of the land and got a really nice understanding of the island that just wouldn't have been possible any other way. It's so worth the splurge.

We went on the kohala coast tour and it was amazing.... The staff was pleasant and professional. The helicopter was beautiful seats were comfortable. I was a little apprehensive at first because my husband gets motion sick but Greg' s expertise as a pilot made us feel like we were just floating in the sky. Greg shared his knowledge of the kohala coast and it was very enjoyable. I simply can't say enough about Greg our pilot. We had a great experience start to finish. Thanks to all of you at Blue Hawaiian we will be back!

Highly recommended , our pilot Kristi was the best pilot we have every encountered on our many helicopter flights. Totally enjoyable well worth the money and will definitely do it again. We were picked up on from our hotel on time and arrived at the terminal on time. All was simply amazing.

Well worth going with Blue Hawaiian helicopters, Pilot/tour guide very knowledgeable and made friends with all onboard. Views and sights were second to none, couldn't have asked for a better helicopter trip and with the pilot answering all questions posed to him made this a very memorable honeymoon for us.

What a beautiful experience we saw snow, lava and incredible waterfalls. Blue Hawaiian has an amazing staff, fabulous aircraft and a commitment to safety. Highly recommend- book for the start of your trip in case you have to reschedule due to weather- easy to reschedule for future dates. Best way to familiarize yourself with the island as well!

We took the afternoon tour with Pilot Lauren - hopefully spelled that right. He was a great pilot that took us around the island and provided lots of information on what we were looking at. The tour takes off and goes in front of the beaches then around Diamond head and over the area from Jurassic Park movies, we saw a waterfall, and some of the most amazing views of the island. We did this tour the first day of our week long stay to get a feel for the island. Perfect!!!

I wish that I could give 100 stars for my rating. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters goes the extra mile to accommodate most mobility impaired customers. They picked me up in their lift van. Another lift at the helicopter was used to lift me to the helicopter seat and their skilled staff positioned me with safety and utmost care. Scott, the pilot, gave us the flight of a lifetime. The views were unbelievable, his knowledge of the area was excellent, and his concern that all passengers had great views was outstanding. The entire team at Blue Hawaiian are to be commended for their care and service.

We recently took the 45 minute lava tour out of Hilo with Blue Hawaiian. Wesley, our pilot was amazing, and his provided soundtrack just made the flight more fun. We did see lava but not the massive amounts seen in some pictures. I am regretting not taking the longer more inclusive island tour as I think they go further afield and see more impressive lava and waterfalls. All in all though, a good choice and a lot of fun. Some tips: computer assigns your seating based on weight distribution. There are great views from every seat. Don't wear white or light colors as it reflects back on the windows. They do provide darker color shirts to slip on to prevent this. If you are mobility challenged you might want to double check about access. We had to walk a ways to the helo pad, but I'm guessing they have a cart to help those that don't walk well. Flight crew and safety briefing were both excellent. The only drawback is you have to park in the pay lot at the airport with no validation. Several other companies there are in the commuter terminal where there is free parking.

We flew to Hilo from Maui for a weekend specifically for the Circle of Fire tour. I had read somewhere not to just fly over for a day trip in case the weather was poor. As it happened, our first day was perfect. Pilot Wes took us for a trip of a lifetime. What an awesome way to see the volcano, lava flow etc. The kids really enjoyed it too! Incidentally day two of our weekend was rainy and overcast. What a relief to have had beautiful weather for our flight!

We booked this tour for photo ops of the volcanic activity and were not disappointed. The pilot made multiple passes over the cauldron from all angles and all around the flows to the sea for multiple photo ops. HIs abilities and expertise were very much appreciated. The views were absolutely awesome and other photos here document very nicely what we saw. The staff was very helpful in that I needed to take my portable oxygen concentrator with me and they checked my paperwork and their lists to make sure my model was allowed. I agree with the 'totally accessible and awesome!!!' review. I am also mobility impaired and every effort was made to help me to, in and out of the helicopter. Fantastic crew!!
