This is an amazing experience and so worth the money. We added a landing at a waterfall which was incredible! Chase was our pilot and he was fantastic. He had great commentary and was very knowledgeable about the island. I'm not sure if it's possible, but ask for Chase if you can! Don't miss this experience!

My Mum booked for us to go with Blue Hawaiian after reading the reviews. And I'm so pleased we did. The helicopters have "seats with views". Unlike other helicopters, these ones only have two rows and everyone has the "box seat". I was lucky to sit in the middle of the front row and my mum was at the right window in the front row. Safety is paramount and we had a great briefing before we flew. From the minute we boarded our helicopter our female pilot (Chris) made us feel at ease. Her welcoming smile, sense of humour and outstanding skills made us have a simply amazing trip. It is wonderful to know the pilots are so skillful (ex US Airforce) and when combined with genuine enjoyment in what they are doing, it made sure our flight was simply brilliant. One other thing to mention - we went with an American family (they sat in the backseat). Jeannie was in a wheelchair and Blue Hawaiian really looked after her - and had a "lift" to put her in the helicopter - brilliant ! Thanks to the staff in the office and to our pilot, Chris. P.S. Although not really mentioned on their website or in the online booking Blue Hawaiian do transfers from Waikiki - wish we had known this as we rented a Hertz car.

Our pilot was Jeremy, he did a great job of making sure everyone got to see the points o interest by circling around a couple of times. Well worth the time and money. I take the last flight so the lava is more visible.

We booked the trip before leaving England. When we phoned to confirm the people were very helpful and when we asked for directions to the airport they offered to pick us up from our hotel. We were given a safety video and also everything was explained to us. Your seats are given to you by your weight but our pilot made sure everyone got to see everything by going over the volcano and the waterfalls a few times. Our pilot was very friendly and also gave a lot of information. The trip was brilliant, one of the best things I have ever done. All the staff were helpful. I would recommend this tour and would love to do it again. You can also buy a memory stick with your actual trip.

Loved seeing the Big Island from the air! I would definitely do it again. Very cool to see the lava path to the sea and the awesome water falls. Great tour!

We had beautiful weather and the scenery was spectacular. The team at Blue Hawaiian was top notch. My husband had flown in a helicopter before but I had not so I was a little unsure. But the way it was all done and the safety taken for each of the passengers to insure a happy experience was extraordinary. Our pilot was fun and well informed and was so chill it helped me relax and enjoy the ride!

we booked this tour thru the shaka gold program. was well worth it. our pilot was geoff. very informative. we felt very safe. we really enjoyed it. would highly recommend it. the only issue we had, was the thumb drive to play our trip video. i could never get it to play on my computer. even after downloading the VLC program i needed. after a couple emails back and forth to resolve this issue, they made us a blu-ray version and sent it to us. it was our flight, because there was a couple times it rained a bit, and it showed up on our video. so they are NOT splicing in footage of us with a generic flight video.

Had an incredible time on our helicopter ride! Geoff was out pilot and was extremely knowledgeable about the island and also kept the ride enjoyable. He had a focus On safety which made my husband feel comfortable as he has a fear of heights. We did an afternoon tour which was recommended due to the better picture taking, however, I would suggest to not focus on photos but focus on your ride around beautiful Kauai!!! Enjoy!

From the moment we arrived in the parking lot we could tell that this was a top notch establishment. Their building is very professional, the employees were very friendly and helpful. Our pilot Greg was great! It was fun to hear information about Kauai and the various movies that were shot on the island. And the views are hard to describe with words! The helicopter itself was the nicest on the island and it offered great visibility and was very comfortable! This is a must if going to Kauai as so much of the island is inaccessible by car or foot!

Had a blast taking the helicopter over the active volcano and lava fields. We were able to see plenty of red lava and our pilot, Adolf, made sure that everyone was able to get a good view. I had never seen a volcano or been in a helicopter before so the experience was pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are staying on the Big Island. Oh I forgot! One of the best parts of the tour was the Jurassic Park music as you were flying :)!!!

The helicopter ride was an amazing experience! Brodi, our pilot was very knowledgable about the island of Kauai. Although there were 7 people on the helicopter ride, it felt so intimate. This is a highlight of our Kauai trip. The staff here has the Aloha spirit = )

This was a great experience. My family and I really loved it. The company are very professional, however we found some of the staff a bit abrupt and not overly friendly. The flight itself was fantastic. The pilot was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall I would highly recommend doing this helicopter flight.

I took the 2 hour ride over the lava flows and coast and would recommend to anyone who is thinking about doing this. the ground crew and our excellent and knowledgeable pilot, 'Chase' made the experience unforgettable. It is expensive (around US$550) but worth every cent! An awesome way to see this living and changeable island.

I did a Big Island Spectacular Eco - Tour (I think one of the longest tours available). The day our tour was originally scheduled for my friend and I were picked up from our hotel on time, and the driver was very friendly. Unfortunately about 10 minutes down the road he received a call to say the weather was bad in Hilo, so they wouldn't be able to fly. We were rescheduled for the following day, and picked up by the same driver. We arrived and went through all of the safety instructions before boarding, then were assigned to our helicopters. The flight itself was incredible! The pilot was skilled, friendly and knowledgeable and we got to see so much! We went over the lava fields, the open craters and flowing lava, as well as over the ocean where the lava meets the sea. We stopped briefly at Hilo to refuel, and continued along the stunning coastline, seeing the waterfalls and more tropical areas of the island. Ducking into a valley with several spectacular waterfalls was my favourite part! Upon arrival back at the helipad I was able to order a USB video of MY flight! As we only had the shuttle to take us back to the hotel, and it takes 20mins to produce the USB, they can post it home to me for free! Even to an international address! I would HIGHLY recommend any tours with Blue Hawaiian!

The early morning trip into the air was paradise. It was out of this world - as if we were flying over the moon and then over to watching hot lava coming from a volcano was extraordinary. We flew through a circle rainbow out into the coast and then off into the most spectacular views of waterfalls. Chase was amazing. A fantastic pilot and felt safe and calm and entertained the entire time.
