This was my first time doing a helicopter tour and although it was pretty intense (wouldn't recommend eating a large meal beforehand!), it was definitely worthwhile. We did this tour at the end of our multi-day trip in Kauai, and I think it made the tour more meaningful since we had explored the island by car and had a general orientation as to where things were. Seeing them by air gave a different perspective - especially Waimea Canyon & the Na Pali coast which were just amazing! I chose Blue Hawaiian based on several excellent reviews and personal recommendations - they are definitely a first class operation. Make your reservation in advance to save money - we booked using the Shaka Gold card.

We had a wonderful time and the potential view from this first classed helicopter was excellent. I had two disappointments. The first was that the ride was supposed to be 55 minutes or more and was actually 45 minutes. The second was that I was in the backseat behind the pilot and could see very poorly of what was beautiful country. We did not switch seats during the helicopter ride and thus it was disappointing but excellent for those upfront.

We did our tour two years ago. It was amazing. Brody, our pilot was awesome, I didn't feel uneasy at all (and I don't like flying). He told us so many interesting things about he island and the history. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay as it will help orientate you with the beautiful island of Kauai. We are planning a trip for February and have recommended that all of the other couples going with us do this tour! It was well worth the cost.

We booked the Big Island Spectacular with the waterfall landing in an EcoStar helicopter. Our pilot, Marco, made it a memorable and worthwhile adventure. We flew past the telescopes at the Keck Observatory, lava flows at Volcano National Park, the beautiful coastline and made an AMAZING landing at the base of a secluded waterfall that is only accessible by copter. The total trip, including a brief refueling stop in Hilo, was close to three hours. Suggestion: Book online 5 days ahead of time for a discount.

We did the Big Island Spectacular tour and got to see far more of the island's volcanos, lava, coast and waterfalls than we ever could even in several days on the ground. The local knowledge, enthusiasm and passion of our pilot, Chase, really made this tour great and added huge depth to our experience.

We had a fantastic ride around O'ahu. Amazing views and Christy our pilot was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got picked up and dropped at our hotel. Can highly recommend this trip.

This was an amazing Tour, in fact it was Awesome, for 50 minutes, you were treated to nearly the whole island, we flew everywhere< I saw a lot more than I thought I would, the price was right, and the whole pick up, flight and back to my hotel was excellent,

I used to fly helicopter for business travel and did one in Dubai for vacation. When I was searching for helicopter tour in Hawaii, the hotel agent recommended Blue Hawaiian. It is more expensive but flies longer with more desirable route. So I decided to book the tour for me and my mother. Wow, what an awesome experience! Hawaii has such dramatic change of landscape from beach to mountain to waterfall. It was a beautiful journey. The captain was quite patient. It was a full 45 minutes of flight.

We took the helo tour yesterday, with Wesley at the controls (and thanks, Wesley, for a great soundtrack!). It was a fabulous experience--I'm still ga-ga over seeing the molten lava in the volcano. The tour was very well organized and the attendants helpful and efficient. For those who think a helo might be scary--I am a flight wimp, and I loved it! Once you lift off the ground, it's a smooth ride and the island is so beautiful, you'll forget all about being nervous. I promise you! Don't worry about where you'll sit--the computer assigns you based on weight--and you can see from everywhere. Also, they made a man in our group remove his white shirt because it reflects on the windows and interferes with the pilot's vision, so leave the white shirt at home when you go!

Really enjoyed my flight with Scott H. And Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. I only wish they would communicate more that the passengers wear dark clothing. Guy seated in front of me wore a black shirt and very light grey shorts which caused glare. I was able to get some good photos but would be better if passengers wore all dark clothing as advised.

From the reception staff, ground crew and the pilot all very nice! Before departure you are given a short security briefing, then you are given a number position for boarding, these are not cheap helicopters, they are state of the art, so comfortable, you get headphones and even a mike to speak with the pilot. The sites you see and the pilot narration makes it such an enjoyable experience. The whole tour is videoed and taped so you can purchase a DVD of the experience. All I can say, is I would do it again! Note: Remember to wear dark colors as not to reflect off the glass when you are trying to take pictures from inside the copter. My pics came out great!

We came all the way from London to Hawaii to see Kilauea and, as part of that, took a Blue Hawaiian flight. A smooth trip out over Pahoa (where we were staying) to the coast were the lava is currently entering the ocean, over to the Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent and then on to waterfalls. Our pilot, Adolf, gave a great commentary and answered our questions as well as giving us awesome views at the ocean edge and the vent, as well as over the lava fields. Well worth the time and money to get a different perspective - viewing the volcanic park and area from the ground is great but the flight added another dimension.

I live here so I was waiting for the "perfect" day. With work and other things getting in the way I was running out of time to cash in on my gift. The day I booked was raining and many flights on the east had to be cancelled, but ours was not. I was concerned that the views would be veiled in cloud, but with the knowledge of our pilot I flew through a vision of an Island that I have never seen. Misty, dreamy, green valleys and waterfalls everywhere. Amazing! Ground crew was exceptional and pilot superb. I can't wait to do it again! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We went on the kohala coast tour and it was amazing.... The staff was pleasant and professional. The helicopter was beautiful seats were comfortable. I was a little apprehensive at first because my husband gets motion sick but Greg' s expertise as a pilot made us feel like we were just floating in the sky. Greg shared his knowledge of the kohala coast and it was very enjoyable. I simply can't say enough about Greg our pilot. We had a great experience start to finish. Thanks to all of you at Blue Hawaiian we will be back!

Highly recommended , our pilot Kristi was the best pilot we have every encountered on our many helicopter flights. Totally enjoyable well worth the money and will definitely do it again. We were picked up on from our hotel on time and arrived at the terminal on time. All was simply amazing.
