A must do on the Big Isand
Big Island - Waikoloa

My 10 year-old son and I splurged with the Big Island Spectacular. Our pilot was Eli. What an incredible journey! The flight was smooth, comfortable, and quiet the whole way. Eli was a great tour guide, pointing out all the interesting facts about what we were seeing along the way. This excursion takes you from Waikoloa, south and east between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, then over Mauna Loa en route to Kilauea. We had a good view of the orange lava in the caldera, and were lucky to see some lava flow over the ground nearby. Next we flew into Hilo for a brief fuel stop before heading north, up the eastern coast. The view of the shear cliffs on the Kohala coast was spectacular, breathtaking. The highlight is definitely the flight into the valley to see, up close (!), many 1,500+ ft waterfalls. From there we headed west, then southwest over the gorgeous ranch land of the northern part of the island. There you have a great view of the western coast and Kona region. No doubt this is an expensive excursion, but completely worth it. I have never flown in another helicopter, but couldn't have been happier with the Eco Star aircraft. The Blue Hawaiian operation was very pleasant, very professional.

Utterly wonderful experience......
Kauai - Lihue

Absolutely a must if you come to Kaua'i - the scenery and experience is one of the very best in my whole travels. We were blessed with almost perfect weather and the final entry into the crater of Mount Waialeale was stunning. Seat allocation is calculated but even if you get one of the two 'internal' seats it would still be so worthwhile.

Absolutely Amazing
Kauai - Lihue

Others told us this was the highlight of their Pride Of America cruise - and a few said it was a MUST DO. Have to agree. One of the best tours I have ever done. From the start this was a very professional setup - knowledgeable staff, very safe and a great view from every seat. I could go on forever about the spectacular views - saw a couple of whales too. I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews about poor seating at the back or feeling rough riding - nothing like that - I was at the back in the middle and I had a great view. Our pilot gave both side of the aircraft good views by switching sides. My tip is to go as early as possible before the clouds roll in. All over a 10/10 tour!!

NO HELICOPTER RIDE-ITS THE THRILL OF A LIFETIME
Kauai - Lihue

I am 73 and always dreamed to fly in a helicopter so we booked an "All Island Helicopter Tour" of Kauai, Hawaii and it worked out to be the most thrilling and memorable flight experience of my lifetime. Metaphorically, Captain Scott for me is an angel who carried us thru the skies to real life scenes of God's creations which one gets to see only where Capt Scott knows! I did not believe that we would dive into craters or hang out in mid air in front of a 2400 ft waterfall with the crater walls rising all around us. Not only that the scene was complete with appropriate music through Bose headphones and Scott's lucid commentaries for nearly an hour. Today back at home we viewed the live 1080P recorded video we purchased after the flight and relived the whole experience all over again. Our visit to Kauai would be wasted if not for this 'must fly' tour.

Best part of our trip!!!
Big Island - Waikoloa

We had the best time on our helicopter tour!! We chose the Big Island Spectacular and it was well worth the money!! Flying over and around the active volcano and lava flow was an incredible thing to see and the waterfalls are breathtaking! Eric was our pilot and he was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the island and the volcano. The staff on the ground were great as well. We were actually scheduled a day before but the weather was not good on one part of the island. They gave us a choice of a refund, or to do just one part of the tour, or reschedule for another day (which we chose). One of the most amazing things we've done!

Big Island by sky!
Big Island - Waikoloa

Breathtaking! If you are planning on doing a helicopter trip when visiting any of the islands do it on the Big Island. Not only do you get the lush landscape of rainforests and the dry surface of the moon feel lava flows, you get to see hundreds of waterfalls, epic valley's, and of course, volcanos and lava.

Worth the expense
Big Island - Waikoloa

This is my third trip by helicopter over the Big Island of Hawaii. It was cloudy on and off, and we had a little rain. The pilot was very good and worked around weather issues. The flight was a circle island, which took us over the breakouts on the east rift zone over the volcano, and he made sure everyone had a good view of the flows and skylights, even though they were minimal. The flight was a little longer than the 2 hours suggested as the pilot flew in a different than usual order due to weather. He gave a good narration and little known information about the island.

WOW! Outstanding
Big Island - Waikoloa

I'm not sure I said more than Wow over and over again during my 2 hour flight. I was amazed and awed over and over again. From the volcano to the keyhole with the waterfalls. Toshi our pilot was fantastic and so knowledgeable. I can't think of a better way to see the island

Awesome adventure!
Big Island - Waikoloa

We are a family of 4 (kids 9 and 7). Took the tour to the volcano and waterfalls. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommended. And do the waterfall landing- it is totally worth it! Our pilot, Ian, was fantastic, engaging with the kids and really made it memorable. And the heli was first class. Definitely the best adventure of the trip!

A must do - early in your visit
Oahu - Honolulu

My 20 year old daughter and I did a 45 min flight on Blue Hawaiian yesterday. Our experience is summarised as follows; PILOT - our pilot was Jeremy who was awesome. Very knowledgable, knew when turn to give everyone a chance to take photo's and provided a smooth ride HELICOPTER - modern, tidy appeared well maintained (not that I'm an expert) and flew well. Modern equipment including headphones and microphones LENGTH OF TRIP - I felt the 45 min trip was about right and gave us a good idea of what the island has to offer (which from Waikiki you wouldn't have a clue about) TIPPING - coming from Australia, I wasn't sure what to do, but read a few other reviews and gave Jeremy $50 (for two of us) which I think he was happy with. LESSONS LEARNED - (1) I read (on the way there at 3.30pm) in another review, to go in the morning when the weather is usually better. (2) Do this at the beginning of your visit to Oahu as the ride gave me about five other activities I'd like to do in Hawaii, which sadly we ran out of time for.

Breathtaking
Oahu - Honolulu

We have never flown in a helicopter and I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect. It was one of the best experiences we have enjoyed and would highly recommend it to anyone. Blue Hawaiian helicopters are very professional and have the latest start of the art helicopters. You can purchase a digital video of your flight at the end of your trip.

Nice views
Oahu - Honolulu

Julie was our pilot. She was really nice and they tell you about the turns and changes in elevation so you know what's happening. She also turned the helicopter around so everyone could see the different important sights. It's a great way to see the island.

No words describe
Kauai - Lihue

Great pilot, very good equipment and a fabulous day. Go explore the island from the skies, it's simply amazing. We have used Blue Hawaiian on Maui and Big Island, always very happy with their quality and service. Why mess with success!

Bucket List But Not In The Rain
Kauai - Lihue

My wife and I had driven the previous day to Waimea Canyon and it was beautiful. So on Saturday January 30, 2016 I called to make reservations for 3 pm. Staff was very helpful. We were the first to make a reservation and they need 4 to fly. They took my cell number and said they would call by noon to let us know if we were going to fly. Within 45 minutes they called back saying we were flying! Auto Club would save us 10%. I said I would go to Costco and buy the gift cards to pay with. I was told "one discount or the other, can not double dip". Our total price was $492 so I bought $500 worth of gift cards for $400 at Costco. With my $8 credit, they don't give cash back, I bought a t-shirt. Well run operation and first class pilots! Waimea Canyon had rain, we didn't see the sights since it was not safe to fly in the canyon. If you have a clear day and you are thinking of doing this, DO IT!! I was going to buy the dvd of our trip, but all the rain on the cameras didn't make it worth the $40, so I will have the memories in my mind. Helicopter holds 6 guests. 2 in the front, along with the pilot and 4 in the rear. The seats in the rear are higher than the front seats. Wife was next to the door so I had to look over her to the side for that view, and then I had 2 people in front of me. Taking photos was difficult since I had a shoulder in almost every shot. Our pilot had extra time since we couldn't do Waimea Canyon so he took us out on the North Shore to look for humpback whales. He found a mom and calf and we stayed with them for a few minutes. Rain, sun shine, this trip is worth it. Costco made it affordable!
