Just DO IT!!
Oahu - Honolulu

nervous to book at first as I booked before the trip...but SO glad I did!!!! This was simply amazing! Loren, our pilot, was very friendly and made our experience something I will never forget! My girls (5 years and 7 months old) loved every second......we can't wait to come back and go on another Blue Hawaiian helicopter! Our recording was icing on the cake!

Highlight of our Trip
Oahu - Honolulu

We recently spent a week on Waikiki and booked the 45 minute tour of Oahu on impulse and are glad we did. Obviously, there were spectacular views of the island. Highlights were flying over Pearl Harbor, going up a tight canyon to see the largest waterfall on the island, and hovering above a pod of 6-8 humpback whales. The trip is pricey but the whales made it worth every penny. Since whales cannot be guaranteed, use your own judgment about the value. If you have never done a helicopter tour before, Blue Hawaiian's crew and helicopters made it easy.

The Coolest Way to See The Entire Island
Kauai - Lihue

My son and I took a 10 am tour of Kauai and it was a wonderful way to view the Island. The pilot was very competent and I felt safe 100% of the time. The Eco Star is a comfortable ride. When you arrive, you get weighed and seating is arranged by computer. The computer separated my son and I, but the staff noticed that as we were about to board and reconfigured the seating to let us sit together. I'm very greatful for that. The experience is expensive but worth it.

I'd give it 10 Stars!!!
Kauai - Lihue

This was the highlight of my trip to Kauai in August. Everyone there was very friendly. Our pilot Mark was just excellent in his knowledge of the island and I have to tell you the beauty you will see on this island is nothing short of heavenly. I actually cried at the beautiful scenery I was witnessing. You will see canyons, valleys, gorgeous shorelines of the island and the astounding Napali Park. You will not be disappointed. HIghly recommend this as a #1 must do on the island of Kauai!

The highlight of out stay.
Kauai - Lihue

We hadn't planned to take a helicopter trip and didn't book it until a few days before we went. We went on the Eco tour and it was completely worth it. I read a few reviews before we booked and had a few concerns about whether we would get a good view or not - no need to worry. The seats are allocated according to weight which worried me. I was sat in what you would call 'the worst seat' (In the back row of 4 in the middle) but the view was still amazing and the pilot (Shay) made sure he did a few turns to get everyone a great view. The 50 minute tour was the right amount of time to see everything we wanted to see. The views of Waimea Canyon and Napali Coast are just amazing and will stick with me forever. Thank you!!

Great tour
Kauai - Lihue

We took a helicopter tour of Kauai with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter. It was a terrific way to see the island. Our pilot/guide Brad was great. He was very knowledgeable and struck the perfect balance between providing information and context and letting us just enjoy the natural beauty of Kauai. We did this near the beginning of our trip, and it was helpful to get a sense of the island and places we wanted to visit while we were there. Definitely would recommend Blue Hawaiian and Brad for those looking to do a helicopter tour.

An Unforgettable Grade-A Bucket List Adventure
Big Island - Waikoloa

After getting shut down for a heli-tour out of Hilo due to weather, we booked two days later with BH in Waikoloa. The "Island Spectacular" is not cheap, but holy moses was it great. Our pilot Eric was extremely professional and enthusiastic, with an impressive knowledge base on island culture, history, language, geology, economy, demographics, etc. He was also very good at flying the Eco-Star helicopter, which is important. The ride was smooth, comfortable, and confidence-inspiring, and the noise-cancelling headphones were top-notch. Our excursion included a fun soundtrack with a mix of Hawaiian and cinematic music, adding nicely to the scenery – which is hard to even capture in words. Imagine being immersed in your own 3-D National Geographic special, with sweeping lush green valleys, 1,000' waterfalls, towering cliffs dropping to infinitely blue water, and yes – a huge smoldering hellish crater with bright orange liquid rock visible inside. Molten freakin' lava! The expense of something like this can be difficult to rationalize, at least for me. It's a spicy meatball. But if you're up for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the island like you never could any other way – in a clean, modern, safe, well-maintained aircraft with a top-shelf pilot to match – Blue Hawaiian is the real deal.

Spectacular indeed
Big Island - Waikoloa

I join my voice to the positive reviews of this company. Professional company that deliver a tour as depicted in their advertising. Amazing scenery and a view of the lava landscape, active volcano and magnificent coastline and waterfalls that leave a lasting impression. We had Carl for our pilot, he was friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. We were a rather quiet group and he gave us the right amount of commentary but also allowed us quiet time to enjoy the experience. We went on this trip for my son's 21st, Huge thanks to Blue Hawaiian for making it everything we hoped for. We were offered pick up but chose to drive, it was a very dark drive out on an unknown highway pre dawn and would recommend considering availing yourself to the complimentary pickup/drop off service. This was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii and I would thoroughly recommend. We did the 2 hour Big Island Spectacular in the eco-star, worth every cent, gave us some priceless memories.

Awesome island tour
Oahu - Honolulu

Our guide - Adam, a younger but clearly experienced and dexterous pilot - was awesome. On a beautiful day we did a counter-clockwise tour of the island - from Waikiki Beach to the president's retreat, from the Jurassic Park valleys to the north shore surf beaches to Pearl Harbor - that was the most memorable conclusion to a three island tour of Hawaii.

Incredible
Oahu - Honolulu

This was such a great decision! Adam is a very skilled pilot. Our tour was so windy and he handled the helicopter like a champ! First wind gust and he barely bobbled. The tour included anything we wanted to try to see. We saw manta rays, sea turtles and even a whale from the air. Flying over the main attractions especially Pearl Harbor was amazing. The waterfall was just breath taking. The music playing in the headset was so appropriate for whatever we we're looking at. Just do this tour!

Spectacular Tour of Kauai
Kauai - Lihue

What a great experience. Our pilot was exceptional, I felt very confident in his abilities, he flew that helicopter like he was born doing it and did his best to inform and engage everyone in our group. This was a highlight of our trip!

Geoffrey was awesome! And the views can't be beat.
Kauai - Lihue

Highly recommend the Blue Hawaiian Mokihana Helicoptor tour. ours was just the air part (we didn't do the Heaven and Earth). It was 45 minutes of amazing views. Our pilot flew for the Army in Afghanistan and has been with Blue Hawaiian for 3 years. He grew up on Kauai and even pointed out where his high school was and showed where a previous hurricane had hit the island. He flew into the valleys of the peaks and gave amazing narration. I can't explain how breathtaking the views are. We did this excursion on Friday, and that Friday evening we were sailing back to Honolulu. We flew above the Na Pali coast on Friday in the helicopter and then cruised by the Na Pali coast during sunset as we headed back to Honolulu. It was great to have such wonderful views from the air and from the ocean. the Helipad was about 3 miles away, and then you do a safety video before you board. Also, they recheck your weight to make sure they place everyone evenly in the helicopters. Also note that it holds 7 people, 3 in front and 4 in the back. I got a window seat and my husband was next to me. We both got good pictures, but I certainly got better ones. Wear darker clothing to as not to get a glare on the windows! You can see my legs (I wore shorts) in many of the photos which I deleted, as I got so many great ones.

Unreal!
Kauai - Lihue

If you can only do one activity on Kauai, it should be a helicopter tour, and I highly recommend Blue Hawaiian! I will never forget our tour. It was beyond amazing. Blue Hawaiian is located right at the airport, so you don't need to take a shuttle there like other helicopter companies we saw during our drives around Kauai, which is very convenient. You're seated based on your weight but they seat couples together. When you check in, you stand on an X on the floor, which is apparently where the scale is. No one sees the actual number other than the person checking you in. When making your reservation, request either a front seat or at least a seat on the right ride for the best views. They can't guarantee a spot but we asked to be in either of those spots and we were in the back on the right side, so they seem to take your request into consideration. My husband was in the middle right seat (I was by the window) and he said the view was still amazing. We had an 11:30 a.m. flight and though it had rained about an hour before, it cleared up for our flight. The number of waterfalls we saw were mind-blowing, and flying right into the crater of Mount Waialeale was amazing. It rained when we flew in there (not surprising since it's one of the wrest eat places on earth!) but it didn't obscure the views. They also record each flight, including shots from inside the copter and a recording of any questions passengers ask, and then you can buy a copy of it. However, our video didn't record properly, so we couldn't get a video of our flight, which was a huge bummer. I would have already rewatched it so many times! But it was not the end of the world because I took a ton of photos. They ask you to wear dark colors to prevent glare and they hand out black T-shirts to anyone who doesn't wear dark colors. I had glare in some photos still, but the majority of my shots were amazing. Also, at the end of your flight, they will take your photo in front of the helicopter with your camera, which is a great keepsake! This tour was the highlight of our trip and we did a lot of other amazing things on Kauai, so that says a lot!
