This was an awesome way to spend my birthday. Jeremy, our pilot, was very informative and was able to point out all we needed to know about Kilauea and its eruptions. He explained about the types of lava we flew over and found the latest flows for us. The vent was active the day we were there and he got as close as we could get. Jeremy took the time to involve everyone in the tour. The ground staff couldn't be more friendly and attentive. Safety was stressed at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone. Thanks.

The Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour was a highlight of our Kauai vacation! I'm so glad I was brave enough to sign up. I get motion sickness/vertigo easily and was so worried but it was not a problem at all! Our pilot was very friendly and has been flying for over 20 years. The ride itself was very smooth and gentle. Very professional, organized and efficiently run business. Simply amazing views! Not to be missed!

We were totally impressed with this company, the helicopters, our pilot ~Geoff~, and the staff! We had never done a helicopter tour before so we were a little nervous about it, but figured this was the only way to see the island and everything it has to offer! We were so glad we did! The scenery is unbelievable from this vantage point! We would definitely do it again! A few things: Make a reservation! They are busy! These helicopters seat 6 guests plus the pilot. They are very comfortable to sit in. You get a headset and can communicate with the pilot and other people in your group. They recommend you wear dark clothing so it doesn't interfere with the glare from the windows, but if you don't wear something dark (or didn't bring anything along) they offer you a dark t-shirt of theirs to wear for the trip at no cost. You return the t-shirt at the end, but we were impressed that they allowed you to do that without having to purchase the t-shirt! They also offer you a video of your trip. It isn't the video for $20 though that is advertised on a poster while you watch the safety briefing video! Your video is $40, but it is of your actual trip. They have a few cameras on board the helicopter including one on the inside so you can see your group! It also captures anything that is said on your trip as well. We did purchase this and are glad we did! It allows you to see the island more than once and while you aren't also trying to take pictures of what you are seeing while on the trip. Put this on your list of things to do!

What an unforgettable experience! Blue team has a tight and confusion free process, till the detail of taking a picture with the helicopter. Our pilot Miguel was no different. And the views. The views. This is the way to see the Na Pali coast. And this island. One minor tip for the Blue team and for future fortunate riders. Wear dark clothes so they don't reflect on the glass in photo and video shots. Blue team is smart enough to loan you complementary black T shirts but they don't often cover fully and it ruins the picture. Also for the Blue team, you might want to put this info on your website. Thank you Miguel for a wonderful experience.

Highly recommend flying with Brodie at Blue Hawaiian. He grew up on Kauai, a very good pilot, and knowledgable about the flora and fauna. Brodie is a great ambassador for the Hawaiian culture and shares it in a way that is informative and engaging. Inspiring overview of the island and the natural beauty. This is a not inexpensive but worth every penny. The ground crew from the front desk to the loaders were great. A privilege that if you can make it fit your budget is a must. To paraphrase another traveler "not taking the helicopter tour on Kauai is like going to the Sistine Chapel and not looking up." A great analogy.

Wife and I just returned from Hawaii trip and the BH helicopter tour we took in Kauai was the icing on the cake. Shay was awesome as our pilot. We both sat in the front next to him. Took amazing photos. I was admittedly nervous about a) the idea of a helicopter and b) motion sickness. Shay made it super smooth. No worries at all. Simply amazing experience.

Absolute must do on Kaua'i! You see parts of the island that you can get to y foot or car. One of the best ways to see the Na Pali Coast. You also see Jurassic Falls which is amazing from above. Expert pilots, well maintained helicopters. This is the second time we have flown with them.

Fantastic experience. The views were spectacular. View of volcanos was spectacular. Just watching lava flowing into the ocean was awesome. A must do tour. Just had one hiccup....the video recording of our tour got messed up and that ruined the experience a bit. Wish that had not happened. The pilot Greg was really good. He knew what he was talking.

Our family's first helicopter ride: It was expensive but worth it. Safe, easy and incredible views of lava running into the ocean and some beautiful waterfalls. We witnessed the changing on the Earth's surface. Ethan, our pilot, was knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. Can't wait to go back and watch the video of our flight. Would have been cool to fly a little lower but, safety first.

We booked the tour for the whole family to celebrate my wife's birthday. It all started normally with the on time pick up but when we arrived the security was intense and their was not exception for a 3 year old - personal scan and body search so you can imagine how well that went down . The company handled it fairly well and the flight whist is no comparison to the Big Island and the Volcano did give us a great understanding of all facets of the Island. The flight is excellent value for money but leave your small kids at home .

Eli was a great pilot. Trip was incredible. Waterfalls and scenery are insane. If you are reading this, book it. Book the morning if you can, usually better weather.

So many parts of this wonderful island can only be seen from the air! Trevor, our pilot was great at controls but also great to explain the history, and other interesting information. Was so good almost signed up for another flight!

I did a lot of research before choosing a helicopter tour of the Big Island. Was initially hesitant to book with Blue Hawaiian because their website seemed too touristy - I like to support the smaller local guy - but, I'm so glad I did. Staff was professional, equipment was clean, well-maintained and very comfortable (we took the A Star which was more than adequate. Saw the EcoStar and it didn't seem worth the extra money). Saw other tour companies helicopters on the runway and they looked small, uncomfortable and outdated. Pilot was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Our tour was to be 45 minutes but he gave us close to 1 hour.
