I had an absolutely incredible experience with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine aloha spirit. A huge shoutout to Captain Mike—he made the entire flight unforgettable. His knowledge, calm presence, and engaging commentary added so much to the experience. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it shows in every moment of the tour. The views were beyond breathtaking, and the whole operation runs smoothly thanks to a fantastic team. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel comfortable and excited right from the beginning. Everything was simply perfect—highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hawaii. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

I honestly feel that the best value is likely the cheapest excursion based upon what we experienced, watching the speed of the aircraft and the flight plan. I think that the best way to experience Hawaii is a combination of both flight and ground transportation to visit the things that interest you. Matt was very knowledgeable and courteous. Very enjoyable experience but I feel that it is a bit overpriced.

We had a wonderful experience with Blue Hawaiian helicopters 🚁 tour. The ground crew was helpful (Rowena and Miriam), provided all the necessary information and suggested various good options and places to visit. Our pilot David aka Chewy was very informative, funny, and great at his job. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about the history of the Big island.

Absolutely one of the best things to do on the Big Island. If you’re looking for a helicopter tour in Kona or Hilo, this is it. I brought five people with me, and from takeoff to landing, the experience was incredible. Flying over the volcanoes, lava fields, and active steam vents was unreal—you truly can’t appreciate the scale of the island until you see it from the air. Then we moved into the lush jungle and waterfalls, which felt like a completely different world. The helicopter was smooth, comfortable, and had amazing visibility. Every seat felt like a front-row view. Our pilot was outstanding—fun, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. He gave great commentary on the island’s history and landscape, and the ride felt safe and controlled the entire time. What really stood out was how he personalized the end of the tour. He asked what we wanted to see on the way back, and when we told him we wanted the longer route to explore more of the island, he put together a great path with additional scenic highlights we wouldn’t have even thought to ask for. That extra effort made the experience feel custom and unforgettable. If you’re planning a Hawaii vacation, this is a must-do activity. Highly recommend this helicopter tour to anyone visiting the Big Island—you’ll be talking about it long after you leave.
