Most of Kauai is inaccessible by road. The only way to appreciate the majesty of this island is from the air. The helicopters used by Blue Hawaiian Helicopters are excellent. Everybody has an excellent view. The pilot, Chris was excellent and gave an excellent guide to the island. What was lovely as well was that he would address each of us by name, we weren't just passengers. We got down close into the valleys. Again safety was important and all of the regulations were observed. A highly professional company. Yes it is expensive but worth it .

What a professional company this is , My special needs son invested in the Big Island Spectacular for the both of us . When we arrived at the helipad we heard the flights to the volcano area were cancelled due to the high VOG level . We were offered a refund or to be rescheduled. We were also offered to go on the waterfall/cliff short tour. Because of time restraints we didn't reschedule the big one- we chose to go right away on the smaller one with pilot Dale. Unfortunately the forty minute flight was about twentyfive minutes long and our trip was cut short by fog,mists,and other helicopters. On the positive side at least we saw some of the Big Island, parts of the waterfalls-pretty cool- just had you wanting more - nice try . When we got back they realized we hadn't seen what we should have they offered us all a FULL REFUND. My special needs son was SO impressed because to him there is no GREY- just black or white .Very impressive - will recommend them to all !!! VERY ETHICAL !!!

After flying with blue hawaiian helicopters last year on Kauai we decided to go with them again as we were impressed last time. We were not disappointed this time either. Everything was just as professional as last time , and we had an amazing flight over the volcanos. Our pilot Scott was fantastic, and very knowledgable. I would recommend this company to anyone.The eco star helicopters are absolutely awesome, and give you great views.

We had and excellent trip around the Island of Oahu. Jonathan the pilot was excellent and gave us a birds eye view of all the important sites. We rented a jeep 2 days before and toured the island (which was great) then taking a helicopter ride around many of the same spots was amazing. We go to see wales swimming with their babies - amazing!!! The staff at BHH was excellent - made us feel at home and they really cared about our safety. The answered any questions we had whether it was safety stuff or just about their company. They had a super friendly shuttle driver that picked us up and dropped us off after the trip. The whole staff was great - it was a great experience!! - Go for it!!

Booked the 2 hour tour, it was amazing! Scott, our pilot did an excellent job flying us around the island and making sure that people on both sides of the plane had an opportunity to see everything A great trip. Highly recommend doing this

A wonderful experience for the family. The pilot was very knowledgeable in the many things we saw and the genral history of the island of Oahu. He was even gracious enough to fly over some pods of whales. I highly recommend it!

This was amazing! Seeing the Island from the air was just incredible. All of the staff were fantastic. Julie the pilot really made me feel comfortable being my first time in a helicopter and she was very informative on the area. The scenery from the ocean to the mountains was beautiful. The view of Pearl Harbor was breathtaking. The 45 minute flight really showcases the beauty of Oahu. I paid $205 for this tour and it was worth every cent. I thought it was really reasonably priced! I bought the DVD of the flight for an additional $25 and watched it back over with my family when I got home, it was definitely worth purchasing. We did the tour that take you to the volcano and into the valley's in the northeast. You basically get to see the whole island in no time! No matter where the lava is flowing, the pilots go out ahead of you and scout it. We saw trees burning and could smell the smoke. You fly into a couple of remote valleys and see some amazing water falls that I do not think there is another way to see. Our pilot was very personable and answered all our questions. It is a quality run organization that puts safety first. We even got to see Army Tanks running exercises!

Fantastic. Simply amazing. This company are friendly, professional, and will take you on the most amazing flight. We did the around the island flight which took us over Diamond head, Hanuma bay, huge turtles swimming freely in the sea, Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri and much more. The helicopters are very stable, with a great bubble canopy that lets you see all around. Even my wife, who was not at all sure about flying, was amazed by how smooth and comfortable it was. The pilot was so friendly, and was willing to change direction to answer questions and give the best views. He also explained what you were seeing so well, and was full of little bits of extra local knowledge. The best way to see the whole island. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Jonathan was an awesome guide! The views were amazing and the commentary made it very enjoyable. There was nice music playing as well. A very professional and modern operation. The chopper was very cool. They let you take pictures with the chopper too. Price was reasonable and included transport. The flight went for a little longer than scheduled too. Highly recommend - must do activity!!

Loved every minute! The pilots and staff are very knowledgeable, safety is foremost, and the helicopters very clean and comfortable. A very smooth and pleasant ride.

There is absolutely nothing to say about this tour except do it if your budget allows and if your budget is close-push it to include it. The professionalism and quality with safety before all is evident in their operation. I've been in the aviation safety business for over 30 years and can only say that they really impressed me from beginning to end. As I often tell people you cant see the things that didn't happen when safety works but I can tell you it works because of companies operating like Blue Hawaiian does. Keep it up Blue Hawaiian and if you are reading this review with safety in your mind I can tell you that I think Blue Hawaiian does safety exceptionally well. Did I mention the view out the window will never leave your mind and senses.

What a great way to see the island. Music is playing throughout the journey making you feel like you are starring in your own Jurassic Park /hollywood movie. Fantastic scenery and the pilot was very personable and well informed. Just amazing...

Our helicopter tour of the Big Island of Hawaii was sensational. Exploring the island from the air was breathtaking. Viewing lava flows from Pu'u 'Ō'ō and the ensuing forest fires was an amazing experience. This was my second experience with Blue Hawaiian and it did not disappoint. Exploring the lush valleys and waterfalls was also incredible. A visit to the Big Island would not be complete with out a Blue Hawaiian tour which put us in the cat bird seat to get an aerial view of the climate diversity of the Big Island.

Loved the helicopter tour...but we mistakenly got the helicopter with the smaller windows :( I was placed in the front seat so it did not make a difference for me, but my Father, whose birthday it was was in the back and did not have as good a view. Early morning is the best time to go to avoid the VOG and have better weather.
