It's worth it!
Oahu - Honolulu

Blue Hawaiian's personnel were friendly and accommodating. We had a friend in a wheelchair and they helped put him on the helicopter and made his day! Thank you Blue Hawaiian! It was my family's first time on a helicopter and we loved it!! It was the highlight of our trip.

Touring Kauai by Helicopter was a tremendous experience! Michael, our pilot, was so knowledgeable and guided us to several places inaccessible by car. An outstanding day!

A great way to see Kauai!
Kauai - Lihue

My husband and I went on a 55 minute Eco adventure trip and it was great! The facility was really comfortable. They had cold lemon water to drink and also really clean washroom facilities. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The helicopter tour was so comfortable and such a great way to see the island! We ended up with a really clear morning to go so the views were excellent. This trip was definitely worth the money and is a must-do on your first trip to Kauai!

The best way to see Kauai !!
Kauai - Lihue

Thanks to Pilot Geoffrey and Blue Hawaiian Helicopter for an awesome experience. As former helicopter technicians in the RCAF, we found the ride very comfortable and safe. The island sights are amazing. Geoffrey was very informative, personable, and a great pilot. Mark & Heather Maschio

Stunning Vistas!
Kauai - Lihue

We booked the Eco Star Adventure with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours, and we can say that without a doubt, this was the best helicopter tour we have taken so far. No wonder they call Kauai the Garden Isle. It is unmatched for strikingly beautiful mountains, waterfalls and lush tropical beauty. This was our second tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, and they lived up to their superior reputation for quality, professionalism and safety. It is a 55 minute tour that circles the island of Kauai, viewing the best points of interest of the island. Our scheduled tour was scrapped right as we were standing on the tarmac, due to a large weather cell heading on to the island. Blue Hawaiian was very accommodating and we were able to re-schedule for the next day. As fate would have it, it worked out better than the original day. We had a crystal clear day, and had a striking view of Waimea Canyon, Kauai’s own “Grand Canyon.” We visited Waimea Canyon by car earlier that week, and a thick fog started rolling in that obscured much of its beauty. So, we were thrilled to see it from the air, which frankly gives you an even better appreciation of its expansive, rugged beauty. We toured the Na Pali Coast and Bali Hai Cliffs which were indescribably gorgeous, especially with the sun playing shadows on the cliffs. This is the best way to see this part of the island. If you do a boat tour in winter, the water can be very rough, and we had heard that the tour boats have a lot of cancellations this time of the year. This area is mostly inaccessible any other way. We also had a bird’s eye view of the “Jurassic Park Falls," which is another point of interest only accessible by air. We were thrilled that we were able to fly to the center of Waialeale Crater which is the wettest place on earth, logging 400 to 500 inches of rain per year. The weather must be perfect to be able to fly to this area, and we just happened to have the ideal day for it. So our first cancellation was actually a blessing in disguise! We have done a handful of helicopter tours, and we highly suggest you follow their instructions and wear dark clothing to cut down on the reflection in the windows. This really helps in taking good pictures. If you are motion sickness prone, Dramamine really works. Just take it an hour before your trip and you’ll have no symptoms whatsoever. We have done the A-stars and the Eco Star helicopters, and really prefer the Eco Stars. The Eco Stars have large comfortable bucket seats rather than bench sets, more room, more glass surface area for better viewing, and they are less noisy. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth it. Check Blue Hawaiian’s website for the best tour prices. We called them to book and they honored the online price. Since we booked two helicopter tours (2 different islands) from them at the same time, we asked if they had a multi-tour discount, and they lowered the price a little more. Just be sure to ask because they don‘t offer it on their own. If you take one helicopter tour in the Hawaiian Islands, this is the one to take. You will be entranced by the majesty of Mother Nature at its finest!

Definite Must!
Oahu - Honolulu

This is the ONLY way to see Oahu! This activity was recommended to me by friends, so despite my slight fears of having never been on a helicopter, we signed up and did not regret it. Probably the coolest thing we have ever done. Toby is knowledgable, and very comfortable flying. We were never afraid, and the views are outstanding. We pretty much covered the whole island. When we return to Hawaii, I would like to do the helicopter tours of the other islands. They do seat you by weight.

Worth The Money !!!
Oahu - Honolulu

I was looking forward to this tour for 8 weeks ! I enjoyed every minute of the flight, and I would do this again. Word of advice: The best seat on the helicopter is on the left hand side, since the tour around Oahu is in a counter-clockwise direction. I thought we would also hover around Pearl Harbor for a bit to see the USS Missouri & USS Arizona, but I guess we were running out of time, as we did a quick flyby. These were the only drawbacks. But a good experience all in all.

Awesome helicopter tour - def. the best one on this island, comfortable seats, really big and roomy - great pilot from switzerland! despite the rain, up on the northshore, it was clearing up and we didn't miss out on anything to see! we even got to see the hidden waterfall on the eastside and the big waves on the northshore! thanks so much for this great opportunity!

Best Tour we did in Oahu
Oahu - Honolulu

Booked via web site http://www.bluehawaiian.com/ Tour May 2011 ($205pp) We were picked up from the hotel at the arranged time and taken to the airport for a short safety briefing before the flight. The Eco Star Helicopter was surprisingly very smooth and comfortable. We had six people on board and if they are all couples at least one of you will get a window seat and some wonderful photos. I was in an inside seat and although having a good view it was not ideal for photo’s. The flight took about 50 minutes and we went along the north coast, past waterfalls, valleys, etc, then over the dole pineapple plantation and back over Pearl Harbour. The pilot was very informative and entertaining. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip and I would recommend it to everyone as great way to see this beautiful island. The whole organisation was very professional and at no time did we feel unsafe. A special mention to the shuttle driver who was happy to drop us at the pick up point for our next tour instead of at our hotel as arranged.

Do Not Rob Yourself Of This Experience
Oahu - Honolulu

This is without a doubt one of the greatest things, if not the greatest thing, you can do on the Island. It is pricey, but worth every penny!!! Try to get yourself in the front seat for an even better view. Although the base the seating upon weight. Also buy the DVD of your trip over the island too. It is not that much more, and I love sitting back at home, drinking a beer and flying over Hawaii again and again.

A great wat to see untouched Kauai!
Kauai - Lihue

Over 70 per cent of Kauai is not accessible by vehicle or on foot; so, this is absolutely a fantastic way to see the entire island! At a cost of around $230 per person, you will not be disappointed! From the coast to one of the rainiest spots on earth there is so much more to Kauai than the beaches and tourist attractions. The Napali coast, the canyons, mountains and caverns are all spectacular to see from a helicopter that seems to float above the island. Blue Hawaiian is a first class operation with experienced and knowledgeable pilots! You can even purchase a DVD of your personal trip for $25. It was well worth our time and the expense.

A perfect flight experience!
Kauai - Lihue

The Blue Hawaii shuttle picked us up at the cruise ship dock right on time. The driver was informative of the area and gave us a mini tour on the way to the airport. We arrived in about ten minutes and found the business operation was clean, professional and efficient. After a comprehensive safety briefing we we boarded in a choreographed manner that stressed safety and efficiency. The pilot was a consummate professional who provided us with a breathtaking tour of the island, including making sure that everyone on board was put into a position for pictures of the individual sights. He even took us lower after spotting whales breaching so that we could take a few minutes watching. This is a first rate outfit and well worth the money!
