i went to the tour on my last day in Kauai. it was not on my original plan. after reading the recommendations from the blue guide book , ultimate kauai, i decided to go on the tour. lucky that they have one seat left. and from the guidebook, i knew they would have a lower internet price than phone price. So i asked over the phone. The lady agreed to give me the internet price. it is an hour flight, but need to check in earlier for safety briefing. Kauai is very suited for Helicopter tours. the Pilot did a great job in showing all the spots. BUt since i have been on most of the trails, some of the scenes are not as striking to me as they are to other ppl on the tour. All in all, if you would like to see Kauai in a not too hard way, this tour is pretty worth it.
On a helicopter ride on Kauai we were assured that we would be on the same helicopter as our family and when we got to the helipad the driver informed us that we were split up on two different helicopters. The driver stated that he cannot do anything about this because it is done by computer. Really, what about my e-mail confirmation, what about the employee that we checked in with who said we all would be together. Bottom line is, do not believe them. And we wrote two bad reviews for customer service on their survey that is supposed to be on the Blue Hawaiian web site, but you will not find a bad review for Jan 11, 2013, on the date we were there. So after all of this, I would still recommend a helicopter tour of the island of Kauai. I would not recommend this group due to their questionable Customer service. There are many companies that provide tours. The views of this island are breathtaking, and the beauty is indescribable. The Napali coast is fabulous along with the Waimea Canyon and all of the beautiful waterfalls. This was my favorite thing on our Hawaiian cruise. I was not impressed with the company but the pilot Barrot did a great job and after the helicopter ride they have a dvd to buy of your trip, but ours did not work, so no trip with my family and no dvd.
This was my third trip on helecopters on Kauai. We had a local pilot who gave a great trip. We saw a lot of up close sights of the water falls and Pali. Even with high winds and sattered rain made it the best trip on Kauai. Had to get tbe DVD of the trip for the rainbows.
This tour was amazing. 45 minute tour that was worth every penny. Our pilot gave us a very informative narrative of each of the sites we toured. The only downside I found was the reflection of the person's leg in front of me when trying to get a snapshot here and there. This just made me have to set the camera aside and take everything in. No complaints here.
We flew with Andy on the island of Kauai November 30, 2012. It was an incredible flight. The sights were amazing, Andy was very knowledgeable about the island and the flight was very smoothe. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai. It's an island were you can't drive to many of the beautiful locations, so being able to see it from the air was spectacular. Thank you Blue Hawaiian!
Having never been in a helicopter, I had some uncertainty. Geoffry was our pilot and he was truly amazing! From a smooth takeoff to a perfect flight, never felt any air sickness. The sights were stunning from the air. He was sure to turn around nicely so everyone in the flight (6 passengers) could get the full view of each highlight. He gave a great narrative of the history and facts of the island. We did an early morning flight and it was truly the highlight of our trip. I would do this over almost any other attraction we experienced! Spend the money, you won't be disappointed!
We really enjoyed this tour despite our high expectations and the rainy weather. Our pilot, Nate, was very personable and enthusiastic. He seemed to have as much fun as we did. Kauai is perfect for such a tour, and as first time visitors to the island, a helicopter gives a great overall sense of the geographic diversity. We even saw whales.
Do it - worth every penny. This was the highlight of an amazing trip. It's a breathtaking experience that I was very excited about and every second from taking off until we landed was enthralling. We took the 1pm Kauai flight and the night before had been very windy. Our hosts, locals, weren't too sure about whether it was a good day for it, but we had a great time and our pilot was professional and I felt safe the whole time.
Although the office staff seemed a little disorganized, Our experience on the helicopter was awesome. We felt absolutely safe. The views are spectacular, music enhanced the experience. Our pilot Barrett was very knowledgeable. Worth every penny.!
This was by far the most awe inspiring activity our family did in Hawaii! The ride over the Na Pali coast and the Waimea canyon, known as the grand canyon of the Pacific was absolutely amazing. We were able to see over a dozen waterfalls that couldn't be seen any other way.The six passenger helicopter was able to carry our whole family.
My husband and I experienced our first helicopter tour with these guys in Kauai, HI. Highly recommend a helicopter tour in Kauai as it is the best way to see the entire island. The views are truly amazing, takes your breath away. Well worth the price. If you only do a helicopter tour once, do it in Kauai. This helicopter tour co. was a great experience. Convenient check in spot at the Harbour Mall and quick shuttle ride to helipad at Lihue airport. Our pilot Nathan was great and informative on the views. DVD of tour available for purchase. Wear dark clothing to minimize reflection and improve photography. Seating is assigned based on weight of group, however, if interested in front seats beside pilot for best view, make the request when reserving online. Highly recommend Blue Hawaiian for your helicopter tour in Kauai!
Awesome scenery! A must do when visiting Kauai! Blue Hawaiian Helicopers was fantastic! The pilot was very informed and interesting.
Just went on my first Helicopter ride and it was better than I could imagine. Pilot Nathan did an amazing job showing us the island even though their was lots of rain. Well worth the money, will recommend this to anyone visiting Kauai.
My wife and I took the 55 minute helipcopter tour in Late february. The views from the air are spectacular. Our pilot Vince was highly skilled and did a great job. He informed us he used to be a flight training instuctor in the army for 20 years before this job. The majority of the island is not accessible by car so this is a way to see the cliffs of the Na Pali coast (the other being boats which bring tourists to the area when the surf is not too rough). There many valleys and waterfalls to see. One of the waterfalls was used in the filming of Jurassic Park .Blue Hawaiian also offers a tour option that includes a landing and photo op at the base of these falls (for extra $ of course) . Another waterfall is one that was seen at the beginning of episodes of "Fantasy Island") You also fly over and in Waimai canyon which rivals the badlands of Soth Dakota for sheer beauty. My wife is squamish when it comes to heights and she has said she'd do this again "in a heart beat". My experience is that the initial take off is a bit like an amusement park ride but after a minute or less it feels like you're driving 20 mph in a car and just gawking around. When your arrive you are weighed on a platform. For those that hates scales the results are visible only to the attendant. The seats are then assigned to a balance the copter. We had 6 passengers and the pilot on our cruise. I was assigned to the middle seat of the 2nd (back) row so I arguably had the most obstructed view and I had no problem getting a good view of everything. I also took a number of pictures - some of them are outstanding. During the trip there is a recording being taken which you can purchase on DVD or Blu-ray for $25 . We bought it and have shared it with some friends - seeing the video does the scenery more justice than we could describing it.
There is nothing I can say that hasn't been! I literally almost cried it was so amazing. Our pilot was Nate and the tour was incredible. He and the ground crew did an amazing job. They were a few people short the day we went but we wouldn't have even known it went so smooth. Don't grumble about the cost this is the ONLY way to see Kauai and worth every penny! They are an awesome customer based company and it shows. don't bother with a discount company go with the best! I will say if there is the remotest chance you could get motion sick please do your fellow passengers a favor and take something in advance.
