Blue-Hawaiian Helicopter in Honolulu on Oahu is one great experience. It started out with great staff, especially the Base Manager, Palani Villanueva, who has the true spirit of Aloha. Every part of this magical island fiight was perfect. The capable pilot directed our attention to all of the wonderful sites and locations while in flight as well as providing us tidbits of Hawaiian history and culture. We flew over parts of Oahu inaccessible to reach and had spectacular views of all the beaches! This experience and the beauty of it all is my most favorite memory of my vacation. We brought home the video of our own personal flight and will continue to view it time and time again. There are other helicopter companies but Blue Hawaiian provides the best in service and can do staff. The least likable part of the trip is that it only lasted one hour. My next trip to Oahu will be a repeat of this flight.....it is that Good. Worth every penny! Mahalo to Blue Hawaiian and staff!

We decided to take a helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian (recommended by a friend) to get an overview of the island the first day of our week long stay. Toby our pilot was professional, humorous, and gave a spectactular tour highlighting major sites and beaches, and giving us traveling tips to use for later. The helicopter was top notch (and I know since my dad is a helicopter pilot), clean, state of the art, smooth, and safe. The office where you sign in was professional and welcoming (thanks for the coffee!). I highly recommend this company and if you have the means to do something like this, do it!

We were on Oahu for 2 weeks and did a ton of activities. This helicopter tour stood out by a landslide! Our pilot Tobey... was first class! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. All the other staff was very polite and welcoming also! We were picked up and dropped off by 2 drivers which were both very pleasant and just added to the total experience. Palani, the base manager gave us a lot of info on the company and was a perfect representative of the company! When I go back, I will be sure to take this tour again.

My husband and I would strong recommend taking this 45-minute helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian. The staff were excellent and courteous. From the moment Ray picked us up from our hotel, to the reception area where Palani gave us an orientation, to our pilot Toby flying us on their high-tech ECO-Star helicopter, everyone was very friendly and professional and the whole experience was just seemless. That initial rush when the helicopter takes off cannot even be described. You have to experience it to believe it. It's absolutely breathtaking! The island of Oahu is so lush and beautiful, with so many beaches and historical landmarks. We got a DVD of our tour which we will cherish forever! Thanks Blue Hawaiian!

We booked our helicopter tour through Blue Hawaiian Helicopters after the great reviews I read on this board. I'm so glad we did! We were greeted by an amazing staff, particularly the manager, Palani. He was very helpful and funny and made our time waiting for the helicopter ride fly by. We flew in a new Eco-Star, which was super comfortable and I felt very safe. Our pilot, Toby, was awesome as well. He was a great guide pointing out all of the cool sights on Oahu. The views and the ride were simply breathtaking. It is almost an hour flight and you really do get to see all of Oahu from the best point of view ever! We flew over the USS Arizona memorial, Waikiki, the North Shore, etc. We were sad when we had to land. This seriously was the highlight of our trip. When we returned home to find that we had lost the DVD of our helicopter flight, I called Blue Hawaiian to see about getting a replacement and they did not hesitate to send me a new copy for free. Talk about customer service. We will definitely fly with Blue Hawaiian Helicopter again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something a little different and exciting. Thanks Blue Hawaiian for making our trip even that much better!

I'm now hooked ... this was our first time on a helicopter and I loved it. Everyone at Blue Hawaiian was very accommodating and friendly. The flight was smooth, and our pilot (Toby) was great. I was really afraid the 45 minute trip would go by too fast, but it ended up being perfect. The views were outstanding, and they let us get a photo in front of the helicopter when we landed. We did buy the video of our flight, quality is ok, but they price is very reasonable considering it's of your actual flight. The only negative thing I could come up with is they didn't offer the shuttle service to me until after I asked (I only knew about it from these reviews). Thankfully they were lenient and dropped us off at the rental car place were we'd reserved a car instead of our hotel.

We had 2 days in Honolulu! We found Blue Hawaiian Helicoptors and decided to splurge. What a way to see the island. Everything about this tour was top notch, from Raymond who picked us up at our hotel to Toby our pilot. The views were exquisite! All the senses are touched in this amazing ride. It was worth every penny. An experience our family will never forget.

Had a great tour with Craig. Excellent pilot and tour guide. Even the weather cooperated! My wife was very apprehensive but enjoyed it immensely. Absolutely stunning scenery, even got to see some whales.

Took the hour long helicopter ride on Kauai with Blue Hawaiian on February 24. What a wonderful experience. Because so much of the island is not accessible from the ground this is the only way to really see the full beauty of this island. They also offer a DVD of the flight which I thought was a wonderful idea. You just can’t capture everything on a camera. My husband is a bit nervous with heights. But the helicopter was fairly large and stable, so he had no issues with this ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe this was by far the favorite thing that we did during our time on Kauai. Thanks so much for the wonderful memory.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours was recommended to me by several co-workers who flew with them while in Kauai. It was an amazing experience. The pilot was skilled, enthusiastic and tried to give everyone on the trip the a good view. He had great knowledge of the terrain as well as the story behind it (such as privately owned ranch land, state park land, featured in this or that movie). The music was wonderful and he seemed to truly enjoy flying people all over the island. Because the tours are seated by weight distribution it can be a little disappointing if you are smaller and sitting in the back (like me) but the trip was still amazing and the island below so incredibly beautiful! The helicopter itself was comfortable and smooth. I did not experience any motion sickness and neither did my husband who does sometimes suffer. I would fly BH again but I would not try to take pictures (the windows of the helicopter throw reflections) - I would just sit back and enjoy the ride and the commentary. We bought the customized video of our trip and are very pleased with it. Definitely a great way to see all of the island and ended up being the only way we saw the Na Pali coast as our boat tour was canceled due to rough seas. Flying over the coast was awe-inspiring! And flying into the crater was so exciting! Just a great trip all around!

I had high expectations after reading previous reviews and can only agree with them. If you've ever wanted a helicopter ride, this is the best place to do it. So much to see, including whales off Na Pali and a full 55 minute ride with very informative history, nature, cultural (best area to hunt wild pigs or give blessings to the goddess of the mountain) celebrity homes, movie locations, etc thanks to our great pilot, Barrett.

Very Expensive and Worth it. It was just an awesome day, ride, pilot and friends we just met. Couldn't have had a better and more beautiful experience. The customer service was heavenly. Pauly, I think was the manager and all those people were super friendly and bent over backwards to ensure we had a good time and were at ease. Felt perfectly comfortable in the sky. Did get a bit naseous at end from taking so many photos. IT was over too quick even after 45 minutes. Talked to locals later who said they were too scared to do it and boy are they missing out because - it's just right there!

This is a great way to see all of the island. The helicopter we were in was very modern and felt very new and well looked after. Mike Thatcher (our pilot) was extremely friendly and made sure we all had a great time. You are all seated according to weight but I think they try to sit all parties together as much as they can. We bought the DVD which cost $25 as it gives you the commentary that you cannot get from taking a video camera (as it's very noisy). It's expensive ($220 per person if not booked 7 days in advance) but it's something that cannot be matched by anything else on the island. They win awards every year and we can see why. Make sure you reserve enough money to do the tour as it's worth it.

Really, why would you consider another company? Blue Hawaiian far and away has the best reputation for safety and equipment. Our pilot, Brian, displayed superior skill and ability with us. I personally recommend the 45 minute tour. We were bumped up to the hour+ tour and it was too long. I know that sounds strange, but it was. Ask for the front seat. They divvy them up based on weight, but we asked and got it. AND, we were the last ones to show up, so ask!
