Oahu - Honolulu

Great flight nice pilot 1hr flight. I purchased the DVD of the flight. I also recommend looking for a coupon in the local coupon book you can get from any major hotel front desk. The coupon is worth 1 free BHH tee shirtThe view is amazing next time I'm trying "with the doors off"

Oahu - Honolulu

This is a nice tour of the island.  It's fully narrated, but it seemed like the pilot had been giving too many tours that day. The flight itself was nice, not too bumpy.  And even though the weather wasn't perfect, we had spectacular views. I've flown around the island with a couple of other companies, I think I'd rather stick with them.  I like flying with the doors off because you get better pictures, and the pilots are more friendly.

Absolutely loved the tour of Maui/Molokai we did! Operation was professional and safe. Pilot was knowledgable and safe! Amazing views of the islands that you just can't see from the ground. The steep sea cliffs and waterfalls on Molokai are breathtaking. Pay the money and go with the bigger helicopter. We were lucky and got to sit up front! Worth every penny! It's a helicopter ride around Maui people!

Oahu - Honolulu

The staff was very organized and friendly. From the shuttle driver to the pilot, it was a great experience! The pilot was from Switzerland and he was so funny and friendly. We was very knowledgeable about the island. It was our fist time to Oahu so we definitaly took some notes of places he pointed out for our next visit.  The prices for the 45 minute tour was very reasonable. We were on the Eco Tour helicopter and my bf and I were in Seats 1 and 2, which are the best seats in the house! =) He did an extensive tour of the island and got really close to the mountains =) I did get sick toward the end but i think it had to do with my new sunglasses. We bought the DVD of our tour at the end which was really cool. This company is definately a must when you are in Honolulu. We will for sure use blue hawaiian when we visit the other islands.

Kauai - Lihue

These guys consistently provide the best service you can get on the islands! I was on the 2-hr Big Island Spectacular to view the volcanoes last year and had heard that the Kauai helicopter is the best ride one could take. The weather was a bit rainy on the day of my tour but the amount of waterfalls we saw was AMAZING! Be aware if you get motion sickness and take a pill before your flight because the view is too gorgeous to miss out on. The splurge is definitely well worth it since 80% of Kauai can only be seen from the air!

Big Island - Waikoloa

We stayed a single night here after a flight from another island to take a helicopter tour. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The hotel was built in 1972 and the exterior has that old, kind of Jetsons appearance. For the most part, they have kept up with upgrading the interior. I understand that the last updating was done in 2012. We stayed in an ocean front room and it was just fine. Great pool. Beautiful grounds. A lot of history is documented on the grounds which was interesting and worth noting. We ate at the poolside bar and it was ok. Later that evening, we ate at the coffee shop since Stinger Rays was closed due to the conflict with the luau. At least that's what we were told. This was pretty good. Reasonably priced. Giant sandwiches and really good sweet potato fries. We'd certainly stay here again.

Big Island - Waikoloa

Our pilot Elijah was attentive, very friendly and informative. I got a little motion sick after a few turns over the volcano, but the view was worth the nausea. Highly recommend this tour!

Big Island - Waikoloa

It was our second day highlight, a helicopter tour of Big Island, and Blue Hawaiian was an excellent choice. The best part is, our family of four has the full copter to our self for two hours! Some of the best experience is looking at the red lava inside the crater, lava streaming into the sea, and those recent lava flows. The stand out was flying inside the Waipio Valley, and the Valley next to it. It was amazing to watch so many waterfalls up close. It is an excellent experience, and thanks to our pilot for keeping us engaged for the whole time.

Oahu - Honolulu

Overall, the staff was fine and I felt safe on the helicopter.  This was our first helicopter tour. I had booked the flight very last minute and after some convincing of the reservation agent, we got the tour for the on-line price.  I would've given this 5 stars, had it not been for the weather.  We were really excited about our tour, but...  On the morning of our tour, it was cloudy and rainy.  I had asked if we could reschedule so we can get better visibility.  The staff said no.  Very disappointing that we paid a lot of money, but it wasn't a clear day.  It rained during our flight and made for poor visibility.  Also, we did not fly thru the middle of the island nor saw Sacred Falls waterfall, 2 things I really wanted to see.  Instead, we flew back via the west side of the island which was dry.   We got the complimentary tour DVD and did not pay $25 for it.  Glad we didn't because when we got home, the video was bad - bad visibility and couldn't see much.  The video my hubby took on his iphone was a lot better. My recommendation:  book in advance so you can get the on-line price.  Also, try to schedule it during a clear day, maybe after morning showers?  This would apply to any helicopter tour, not just Blue.  It will provide for better visibility and a much better experience.  Buy the lavender stick there if you're prone to motion sickness.  It certainly helped me during the bad weather when the helicopter was vibrating. I would've given Blue 4+ stars if I could've rescheduled for a different time.

What an experience! By far the best way to see the island. Our pilot was informative and really fun. Ive flown in a hell before and have to say this was the best experience. She operated the helicopter so smooth and passed sight on both sides so our group could take in the sights. Definatly recommend!

Oahu - Honolulu

An AWESOME amazing experience that comes highly recommended to any traveller to this terrific location of Oahu. At first the price of $US250 per person seemed as if it was out of our reach & budget, but now it is SO WORTH it. (definitely save for this - as it is a MUST for the bucket list!!) The staff were polite professional & most helpful. Our pilot (Adam) made the trip informative with his local knowledge and also most enjoyable. Be sure to wear darker coloured clothing as the onboard camera's film better under those conditions. We were allowed to take as much photos and video as we could - and boy did we take advantage of that! Still the best part is reliving the memory via the DVD that is conducted by the onboard camera's. Be sure to buy the DVD (approx $US25) we'll worth it. The whole experience is one you will never forget!! Thanks BHH for a 'magnificent' tour of the island and it's beautiful sights. Just soon much better when you see it from a birds eye view from above!! Would definitely do this again!!

Had an AMAZING time with BHH. Our pilot Julie was great. She was funny, very informative and obviously a skilled and safe helicopter pilot. BHH runs a good operation. Very professional and they immediately put you at ease. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a helicopter tour of Oahu.

Oahu - Honolulu

This company does a superb job of giving you a beautiful, birds-eye view of Oahu. The 45 minutes in the air was absolutely breathtaking and exhilarating. As an Oahu resident of 6+ years, I recommend this tour not only to tourists, but kamaaina as well. It really gives you a unique view of the beauty if the island. My favorite part was seeing Sacred Falls up close and personal- something I've never seen before. It was amazing how close to the mountains and falls the helicopters get- I was a little nervous - but felt safe the whole time. The tour is complemented by great music and the pilot gives cool factoids and points out points of interest, like a house that Elvis lived in / owned.  It didn't feel too scripted or cheesy- just the right amount of cheese. Adam was our pilot- looked super young but was a superb flyer and very personable. You wear Bose headsets the whole time- so I felt like I was Top Gun or something :) for most of the flight, you can use a mic to chat with the pilot and other passengers (6 passengers per flight). Don't worry about where to sit, their computer calculates where to seat you based on weight...but every seat gets amazing views and photo opps! The pilots make sure both sides of the helicopter see everything. Side note- boys-- this is a really, really cool date :)

Great experience with Blue Hawaiian. As a former military helicopter pilot  with over 5000 hrs, I was comforted by the ground operations and the condition of Blue Hawaiian's aircraft and ground crew.  Our pilot, Jonathan, was even more impressive. We had taken a drive around the island on the day before the flight, and it made the actual flight a little more enjoyable as we were familiar with the geography and could relate the aerial views to what we had already seen from the ground.  My only minor complaint was the slightly hazy day we had for the flight which wasn't ideal for photos, but the DVD they prepared made up for that.  BTW, I don't know why you would pass on the DVD, especially with the different angles and even inside the helicopter views. Especially considering the rest of the prices for food and entertainment in Honolulu, the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour was a bargain.  With lunch for two at the Westin in Waikiki going for over $100, it's a no-brainer to add this tour to your itinerary.
