We did the Volcano Tour, in the A-Star with their sister company Hawaiian Helicopters. This was definitely a unique way to see the volcano, both the sea entry and the crater itself. The pilot was great - and very informative. There's no guarantee of which seats you get, but he did a great job of circling each location several times to make sure everyone got a great look. We didn't see as much lava as I was expecting, based on some of the promotional pictures and videos you see of Big Island helicopter tours, but it was still a very unique way to see the island.

Brodie was excellent!! We also did a Blue Hawaiian flight days ago in Ouahu an enjoyed it too but much better experience all the way around here in Kuaui! Thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge of the Island! You were wonderful!

What an amazing adventure! Brody our pilot was phenomenal and really showed us a local perspective and appreciation for the land. What an opportunity to learn about and see the birthplace of the island "the crater"... We have truly seen things that not many people have seen... not even the people of Hawaii who have lived here all their lives... Our pilot, Chase, was not only an outstanding pilot (first priority), but also a knowledgeable and informative tour guide. One might be tempted on a future visit to say "been there, done that," but the weather conditions today dictated some of the flight pattern choices, and a future flight would probably be different to some extent. The ECO-STAR helicopter is a superlative choice for sightseeing - excellent visibility - and a stable platform.
