Great ride with amazing views. Pilot was friendly and great!

Our first helicopter ride ever and probably the most amazing thing we've ever done. Still filled with awe.... Compliments to Scott D, he was an incredible guide and pilot....super nice. I'm still in awe...this will stay with me forever, thank you so much!

From the moment the shuttle bus picked us up to the end in the tour building: everything was top notch & well run. Safety and customer needs are a clear priority, all staff friendly and helpful. Pilot, Scotty, was a joy to have flying us - great explanations, clearly loves what he does and it shows. Nice to have a relaxing aerial show of one of the best treasures on earth. Thanks!

Wesley was a very welcoming, funny and informative pilot. We felt very safe in his hands and enjoyed every minute of our tour. He is very knowledgeable about the lava, volcanos and waterfalls so that we were able to enjoy the smallest details to the most obvious ones! Definite highlight of our honeymoon!

First time in a helicopter and it was awesome!! We got to see Hilo from another perspective and getting to see the lava and the land from above is amazing!! Would definitely recommend to others :)

If you're planning to fly to see the crater don't miss the helicopter ride with Blue Hawaii. We made reservations after we arrived. You gwt a discount if youre a AAA member. Do take your card with you. We flew out of Hilo at 4 pm. Our pilot was very considerate in making sure each side got a good view of the location. She didn't rush, giving us plenty of time to take pictures. We flew over land, water and right up on top of the up the crater. I got some amazing shots on my camera, of waterfalls, the crater and the lava steaming into the ocean. (don't gorget to take a hood camera, the views are to die for, and you'll kick yourself for not carrying a good camera). You won't regret flying with BHH. The ground staff are very professional and very safety conscious too

It took 3 attempts to get the trip complete, due to weather, but it was worth the wait. Amazing views of the active volcano, the scarred landscape and waterfalls. The pilot both knowledgeable and entertaining. We were a group of 7 and did the trip over 2 separate helicopters, but at the same time.

Nice helicopter, pilot and tour! Downside was the pilots microphone cutting out and the quality of the video we wanted to purchase was very low resolution and didn't capture the gorgeous colors. We didn't purchase.
