Absolutely the most amazing experience!! We were completely overwhelmed! Karl was our pilot, and he was great.. very informative, easy-going, and he had the perfect soundtrack to go with the views. It was perfect...could not have been better! Worth every penny! Thank you!!!

Wes was our pilot. He was fun and super knowledgeable. This is the only way to really see the magnitude of the volcanoes and the lava spread. Incredible.

Fantastic tour and very well run. It would be nice in the future to fly not as high up.

First off, major kudos to this company for putting their customers' experience first. On the day our helicopter tour was scheduled it was rainy and cloudy. Other companies were still going out, but Blue Hawaiian cancelled the tour, not due to safety concerns but more due to the fact that visuals would not be good. They could have gone out and the tour not be as great, but they decided to reschedule to make sure that we have the best experience. Love that. My recommendation is to plan this tour early in your trip in case it gets cancelled due to cloudy weather so you can reschedule later in the week. Doesn't matter if you book in the morning or the afternoon as Hawaii weather changes by the minute. Regarding our experience on the tour, it was fabulous. We had Marty who said he had 13,000 flying hours clocked in along with along with 10+ years of experience as a pilot doing various tours and search and rescue - definitely felt safe in his hands especially when I have never been in a helicopter before. The ride was really smooth and Marty was really knowledgeable and personable. The sights we saw were amazing... it was a beautiful clear day and we were taken to places that would be incredibly hard to get to on foot. The tour is pricey but so worth it if you can fit it in.
