Awesome ride!

Our pilot was Scotty Gee and he was wonderful. He was very calm and took us on a grand tour of the island. For first time flyers especially, he was gentle and made sure it didn't feel too harrowing at all. Would definitely fly again with him and with Blue Hawaiian. Thanks guys!

We had a wonderful flight with Hugo. Great visibility. The cost is a bit high but it is something you will not forget. You have to do it but plan for weather to get the most out of it.

Loved our tour on a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter. Our pilot Barrett was excellent. He spoke to us by name and encouraged us to ask questions. After flying to a particular sight, a waterfall for example, he would turn the copter around so the "other side" had the same experience. EVERY seat provided a splendid view. Seating is determined by the individual weight of each passenger...it's not random, and of course you have no choice. But it doesn't matter. My second row middle seat was superb Great experience. Well worth it !!

If you visit Kauai the one "must do" activity is taking a helicopter tour. Blue Hawaiian's facilities and professionalism are excellent. I particularly liked the fact that the Captain flying my helicopter was a native Hawaiian and spoke from the heart about the beauty of the island and the meaning of various sites to the locals. Helicopter touring may be controversial to some--but it's the only option for those who are physically unable to enjoy and see parts of the island that would require kayaking, advanced hiking skills, or off road vehicles. Be sure to to take a helicopter tour early in your visit so that you can follow up on the sites that you find most stunning!

We did the 2 hour tour. I was hesitant to book it, due to the cost, but it was well worth the money. It really put the volcano and lava flow into a perspective that you can't get from being on the ground. And it was so delightful to see the other part of the island where there are forests and waterfalls. It was the highlight of our visit to the big island.

Our pilot was Tom - he was a great pilot - and we decided to do the 2 hr Big Island Spectacular tour our 2nd day on the Big Island. (we were too exhausted the day we arrived!) We bought all six seats on the helicopter because we wanted a little control over who sat where. Note - they do weigh you and will seat you according to weight to evenly distribute it - at the end of the day we got what we wanted and surprised two friends! It was a very smooth ride and Tom did a great job making sure everyone got a good view and plenty of picture opportunities at the volcano and where the volcano is spilling into the ocean. We also flew into a beautiful valley full of various waterfalls and looks like Jurrasic Park - I was informed - the wrong island. lol We would highly recommend making this a part of your trip, especially if you don't have a lot of time to see everything.

This tour was amazing! Our guide was friendly, funny and full of facts about the island and it's history. Highly recommend the Circle of Fire tour for everyone coming to visit the Big Island!
