Brodie was top fella, showed true passion for island recommend to all
Fabulous!
What a fabulous way to cap off our trip to Maui! Thanks to Rick, our pilot, for the lovely ride and great information!!
We very much enjoyed our tour with Rick. Would highly recommend.
Fabulous views! Rick was great! We really enjoyed the trip.
Definitely a bucket list item to do! The island is definitely beautiful. We'd recommend being on the right side of the helicopter if you can, we were on the left and were always looking across the other people who had the better view, a bit disappointed by that. The crew and pilot were excellent across the board!
We loved our tour of Kauai from the air. Our Pilate Marty was so knowledgable and engaging. The views were spectacular. So much to see that we would never see from the ground. The entire tour was 2 hours which included the safety video. They do show you previews of the video from your guided tour which is fun but there is no hard sell. Would definitely recommend this tour.
We took the Big Island Spectacular tour 2 days ago. To say it was the experience of a lifetime would be an understatement. It was amazing! The volcano, stunning coastline, and waterfalls were all part of this tour. If you're planning to go, spend the extra and get the landing at a waterfall. It was truly beautiful! Our pilot was Greg Oldham - very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks Greg for making our trip so memorable!
We did the helicopter tour in the second week of April. We were 2 adults and 3 kids. I had never done a helicopter tour before and was quite nervous especially since we have a toddler with us. We arrived at the site which is near the airport. You check in at the desk and they weigh each passenger (this is very discreet...only the check in counter person sees the weight). They assign seats based on weight distribution. We then watched a safety video and were on our way! They do a photo for you in front of the helicopter which you can purchase later along with a video of the entire ride which includes footage outside the helicopter and footage of you in the helicopter. I think this was well worth buying but it would be nice if it were included in the price since it ain't cheap. Our pilot was Julie. My husband and 6 year old daughter were seated in the front next to Julie. My 9 year and I (along with toddler in lap) were directly behind them and we had another couple in our row also. The copter seats 6 passengers in addition to pilot. Julie was great, smooth ride, did a good job of turning so everyone could have a great view. Wonderful history and explanations along the way and we also saw whales!!! I would caution that if you are prone to motion sickness you should consider this. My husband felt quite sick the whole time. Being his first experience with a helicopter, he didn't factor this in, otherwise he could have taken some medicine ahead of time. I have to say I was putting this off because I was scared but I am so glad we went for it! Definitely recommend. Anything I felt we missed seeing on land, we covered via helicopter.
Forget any anxiety of motion sickness or a rough ride - our pilot Jason was awesome. You hardly felt him lift off and the ride to the volcano was smooth. Once you get to the right altitude you see the plumes of steam from the volcano and in the distance a bigger plume from where the lava hits the ocean. Flying over the volcano summit we were able to clearly see the bubbling lava - Jason took care to be sure everyone saw the lava from every angle. After viewing both the volcano and the exit of the lava at the ocean we went in search of waterfalls hiding in the trees - the lush vegetation hid so many waterfalls and without our perspective you would never see these wonders. Well worth the experience -
My wife and I took the 50-minute Circle of Fire Plus Waterfalls flight and were very pleased with the views of the volcano. The pilot/guide explained what were seeing in the surrounding areas, gladly took questions, and regularly asked if we were comfortable. We got to see some lava bubbling in the crater, but the steam was too immense at the water to see the orange lava pouring into the ocean. Still, both sights were breathtaking, and the pilot circled each point of interest twice on each side so all parties could get a good look. We were seated four across in the back, but I didn't feel my view was compromised, and my wife, who sat by the window, was in perfect position for camera duty. We were very fortunate to be out on a nice day with clear skies. We also flew over some small waterfalls and Hilo Bay before returning to the airport. These were less impressive but still worth the detour. I was satisfied with the length of the flight and would definitely book with Blue Hawaiian again.
Incredible! A must do! I was a little nervous with the helicopter as I didn't know what to expect. Our pilot was great! Very gentle, I didn't feel the take off or landing like I expected! Amazing views of the island, you wouldn't get any other way!
We went on a tour of the volcano and waterfalls. Our pilot was super friendly and knowledgeable. We both felt a bit nauseous from the ride, but that was on us not the pilot or helicopter. If you get nauseous on smaller airplanes you probably should take something before this tour. Other than that, very cool trip!
Brody- Thank you for an amazing experience this afternoon. We had a great time and your passion for your home and job truly showed. Thank you again for an unforgettable experience. Ashley & Brian Baylis
Captain Rick provided an awesome tour along with a lot of historical information.
