This was the 3rd helicopter tour I have been on and the pilot was fantastic. It was a very smooth flight and he kept you entertained the entire flight. He gave you a wealth of information about the island, and answered every question anyone asked while we were on the flight. I would fly with this company again without a second thought.

it was my girlfriends birthday our monthly anniversary. so i thought what better way to spend than in the sky. Our guide Greg was awesome. he was very informative and the fact that he addresses us by our names was a bonus. i will definitely tell my family and friends and coke back again.

We booked a Big Island Spectacular tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters about a month before our scheduled visit. The tour included flight both over the volcanoes and around the northern coast of the Big Island. The morning of our scheduled tour dawned sunny, but the area around the vocanoes was covered in clouds. We arrived at the company facility in Waikoloa at the scheduled time. The facility itself was disappointing--looked sort of like a shack. The ground personnel weren't very professional, seemed unfocused and disorganized. After watching a safety video and being fitted with life vests we were told that our tour was cancelled because of bad weather over the volcanoes. We were given a choice of rescheduling, canceling out, or taking a different tour of the Kohala coast and waterfalls with a rebate for the difference in cost. Since we'd driven nearly an hour to Waikoloa from our rental, we decided to take the Kohala tour. We're so glad we did! From the moment the actual tour began, everything improved immensely. Our pilot was Bill, a 25-year veteran with Blue Hawaiian. We had chosen the EcoStar helicopter, a sensational, quiet vehicle loaded with incredible technology, comfortable seats, and 180 degree views. The vistas were stunning, and Bill kept up a running commentary on the history and significance of what we were seeing. We soared over cattle ranches and plunged into gorges. We saw numerous waterfalls close-up and breathtaking black sand beaches. The highlight of our trip was a surprise landing by one of the waterfalls where we stayed for about 30 minutes while the three other passengers filmed a commercial for their financial company with the waterfall as the background. The ride was very smooth, in fact we could have been in a luxury car, if cars could fly. The trip lasted nearly 2 hours and we purchased the video which was recorded by several cameras inside and outside the helicopter. We watched it today when we returned home and it was an excellent record of the flight, including the dialogue between the pilot and passengers. Blue Hawaiian followed through with a rebate to our credit card. What started out disappointing became a thrilling adventure.

We took a 60 min flight around Oahu. It was fantastic!! Kristy (our pilot) was great, telling us lots about the island. I would recommend it to anyone - well worth it.

Patrick was a wonderful pilot. We had an incredible experience!!! Worth every penny.

Our tour was a very exciting and enjoyable experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Jason explained every aspect of our flight and the sights in great detail. We definitely recommend the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour!
