Patrick was our pilot and did a great job on our smooth flight of balancing talking and quiet to enjoy the beauty. Patrick circled the red lava and gave each of the 6 of us chances to get photos and views. My only negative comment was time--it felt like an assembly line prior to boarding. And for the fee of over $1800 for the family of 6, increasing the flight from 45 mins to 60 mins seems reasonable.

I haven't been in the A-Star, so I can't judge which one is better, but my experience in the Eco-star at the Circle of Fire + Waterfalls tour was incredible!! Our pilot (Patrick) was good, and in all the fly overs he would go by a few times in one of the sides, then he would switch to the other, so everyone got a good view of the volcanoes, lava pipes and waterfalls. Attention given in the phone reservation and check-in where really good as well!! Definitely recommend.

The beautiful scenery of the Big Island is like no other. The ride was top notch. From the beautiful waterfalls, to several different climates, to watching the red hot lava. It really is hard to put into words other than, spectacular. Tom our pilot did such a great job, lots of history on this island. Completely recommend for teenagers. Loved It!

We are an Aussie family on holiday with our 2 young children on Big Island for a week and have just come back from this EPIC adventure. We cannot rave enough about our 2 hour Big Island tour! Our pilot Greg O was just fantastic. His local knowledge and skills were outstanding. Mahalo Blue Hawaiian Helicopter team!!!

Everything was great. Pilot knowledgeable and very experienced.

We booked this tour at our Dutch travel agency. when we arrived the date was set a month later. The people at the service desk here were amazing. They did everything to get us in to a helicopter today, because we were leaving the next day. The tour was amazing and so was the pilot Wesley! He is very enthusiastic about his job and made the amazing flight ever better! Glad we got to do the tour eventually!!!

Scott H. was a very good pilot, with lots of good information. He showed us Kauai in a way that showed all its glory. I highly recommend flying with him, and taking part of this experience!!

the tour was great; the view of the vent and the crater were out of the world I think you should cut out the waterfalls (there was not much there to see) and maybe spend a bit more time at the volcano - as that is the highlight of the tour Also, will be good to prepare the audience with a bit of introduction of what is coming up and how we are going to see it

Amazing tour! We went really close to the top of the volcano and saw red hot lava. Fascinating tour and guide. Best 16th birthday anyone could have asked for! Thank you to hover Carl and the rest of the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters crew. Love from the Taylors.

I've lived in Hawaii for half my life but oh my goodness ... why have I never done this before? It was wonderful, verging on spiritual. Not exaggerating, honest. Staff was all great but I've got to say ... the view alone was incredible, but Bryan, our pilot, made the experience even more special. He loves what he does and it shows. You may be from the heart of Tennessee, but Bryan, you have an Hawaiian heart already.

Brilliant flight, the pilot Westley was really good and informative and made sure everyone got a really good view. We loved it, what a highlight of our trip!
