Would definitely recommend an ecostar helicopter tour. The pilot guide, Rick, was great, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Unparalleled views of the coast, stunning waterfalls, haleakala, and hana highway, among others. Well worth the expense, especially on a honeymoon.
My family of three throughly enjoyed the Maui Spectacular tour. The trip was around 1.5 hours and included a brief landing at a remote ranch, with champagne served alongside the beautiful view. The pilot was very engaging and the scenery simply stunning, it felt like we were in the Jurasic Park movie! We travelled on the Eco helicopter and you could easily see from all seats.. There were 7 seats on our flight and we were all told where to sit, based on our weight( this is done discretely!) The company are very professional and the whole booking process very easy. You are not allowed to take any bags, including camera bags, on board and iPads and selfie sticks are also not permitted. They do have lockers, refreshments available and a vending machine. Your flight is recorded and can be purchased for around $40... Parking is chargeable at $7 and the machine does not give change but does accept cards.. Highly recommend!
This is a must do when visiting Hawaii. There are so many parts that you can only see by air that to really get a feel for the islands this lets you! We took our two teens for their first helicopter trip. They loved it. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable and made me feel safe at all times. It's not the cheapest excursion but a worthwhile one.
The staff was friendly organized and informative. Peaceful journey in the sky to soak in beautiful maui
We had booked the Full Maui tour but the weather wasn't great, so we had to skip Haleakala and do west Maui and Molokini. It was still phenomenal. The views were breathtaking and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It's expensive, but worth it. We also bought the video at the end--I felt like their pictures were far better than mine due to reflections off the windows. We would definitely do another tour with Blue Hawaiian again.
Great tour for Moloka'i from even better pilot. Views can't be beat. Done miss the Moloka'i sea cliffs. I plan to go again next year.
Our helicopter tour was heavenly! We were a party of 5 and we were the only ones in the helicopter. We all had headsets to listen to the pilot and hand held microphones to ask questions or comment. We took the whole island tour. It was so worth the money and would do it again! You just can't see it all by land. She took us right up to the waterfalls.
Blue Hawaiian never disappoints! Great vehicles with super friendly staff. It's expensive, but so worth it.
Worth every penny to do something that special for wife and boys. Did the Maui spectacular and the views of waterfalls and valleys was unreal. If you only did this and ate crackers all week to pay for it, toys be happy.
This is a spectacular way to see the north shore of Maui and Molokai, and the channel in between, but if you are in the two middle spots in the back seat, good luck seeing much. I was the shortest person in the helicopter, so was in the middle seat where there was no leg room, and I could only see straight out of the windows. Not much of a view. If they took three people or had different seating, it would be worth the money, but two of us paid $200 a piece and got much less of a view than the other three passengers who got window seats.
This was a last minute excursion for my partner and I. We literally booked about an hour before. I just wish I could remember the name of the pilot. He was very nice, informative, and made us feel safe and secure. He explained every islands distinct facts as we flew over them. Also, he was hot as well which was bonus lol. Nevertheless, the views were amazing. We actually went through the mountains. Saw the waterfalls up close and all. I have to say, this was one of our best experiences on our trip to Maui. Between the kind and knowledgable staff that explained safety very well to the actual tour, it was a great experience. As a bonus, our tour even went over by a couple of minutes. Also, we got to take pics as soon as we exited the helicopter. Nice! Not one thing bad to say. Thanks for the experience! Made our anniversary that much better.
This was our second trip on Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours in Maui. Our family of 4 were the only ones on our tour. So we were all able to have window seats. Our pilot Adam Chase was wonderful. He took us up close to some beautiful waterfalls. Places where some pilots don't go in. He made sure we all could see and get amazing pictures. He was very informative about Maui and answered all of our questions. We took the full Maui tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. There are way to many beautiful sites that can only be seen by air.
We took the 9:00 A.M. 60 minute complete island tour. The views were spectacular. Felt completely comfortable. Our pilot, Chris, was very friendly, experienced and informative. Answered all of our questions, bantered in conversation and made us all feel at ease. Well worth the time and effort. Completely professional business.
Can't say enough how much our group of 9 ages 15-60 years enjoyed our Complete Island Tour in two of their luxurious helicopters (minus the giant spider!) We had first had reservations for an afternoon tour but it was canceled do to high winds. The super nice staff were very accommodating in getting our large group rescheduled around our other various activities. We ended up going up at a 7:45am time. The weather was calm and sunny and the views absolutely breathtaking. Our pilot Ryan was interactive with the group and gave a very through and informative tour. We ALL highly recommend this tour and look forward to going again in the future!
Due to weather we were unable to fly over the volcano, so were offered a chance to do the other flight, cancel or reschedule, we took the flight and has a great time , extremely beautiful scenery and our pilot Chase was great with a terrific knowledge , well worth the money
